Here's the thing: AEW/ROH doesn't really have that many titles when you think about it. The roster is huge and they spread the titles out so that they aren't all featured on every show. The problem is that because ROH doesn't have its own TV deal and Tony Khan thinks the fans want to see ROH content (they don't), they feature titles fans don't care about or don't want to see as often as they are. If you remove ROH from the equation, AEW has fewer titles than WWE does. The WWE has 3 men's world titles right now. They have 3 tag team titles to AEW's 2. The only thing AEW has more of is mid-card singles titles, which I'll give you now that the Continental Championship is apparently going to be a thing. I don't know why they are doing that on top of the International Championship and TNT Championship. I thought it was going to be an annual award, like AEW's mini version of the G1 or King of the Ring. I don't get it. If you want a mid-card title that can travel to other promotions, take the fucking International title off Orange Cassidy already. I think TK finally listened to the fans given recent events, and we won't be seeing ROH titles on AEW TV anymore, or at least very little. The ROH World title, yeah, fine, because of the whole Triple Crown thing, but I'm willing to let that slide for now. But the TV title got vacated and awarded at Final Battle, the Women's title has never been featured in AEW and probably won't any time soon, and the Pure title rarely made an appearance and has really only been defended at ROH shows. If going forward they stop featuring ROH titles on AEW TV, we won't be seeing this complaint anymore. At least until they add the AEW Pacific Championship, the AEW Eurasian Championship and the AEW Antarctic Championship. EDIT: And I just realized, why the fuck did he reveal the ROH Women's Television Championship after Collision? Final Battle was literally the night before. AND they had a huge Survival of the Fittest Match to determine the new TV champion. Why didn't he reveal it before or after that match? The fuck? I dunno, we could always use a meaty meat Championship.

They wanted the focus on Billie and Athena not a new title that the loser of the match could just go for instead.

Now a MEAT belt is something I could get behind. That is at least original.
And you know what, that Women's TV belt should have been a pure women's belt. They could have started a second division. And pure matches while a bit wonky are not that hard to work at all. Just got to basics a lot more.

AND they had a huge Survival of the Fittest Match to determine the new TV champion. Why didn't he reveal it before or after that match? The fuck? I am playing it up somewhat and acknowledge that different strokes for different folks and AEW is like NJPW where it's a belt territory. Still, this just comes across as a typical case of putting the cart before the horses. Hardly anybody on social media talks about ROH and when they do it's about Athena-Billy Starks. So instead of allowing that to be the focus and to have everyone go after Athena, they've decided to clutter things by adding another title into the mix.
Which is one of the issues with AEW right now. Technically the WWE has more titles, but it's not as cluttered because of unifications and the brand split. It's three singles titles on each brand, with the tag belts being defended on both shows (even then, primarily on RAW). Good luck being invested in an AEW Championship when there's 8 titles defended across three shows with sporadic appearances from ROH, NJPW, AAA etc. thrown into the mix.
It just makes it so difficult to build anticipation because you get a guy like Swerve, you give him two big wins to shine him up and then you throw him into a tournament to essentially compete for the developmental title.
Timing is everything and like so many other instances in AEW, this feels completely random and messy.

Well we got the info on the Triple Crown finally. It will not always be defended together. Mark vs Eddie announced for Supercard for the RoH title only. And with Okada likely taking the other two belts, I assume this is Mark's time to finally get his RoH run.

Better done in RoH. Should headline the show and they will get whatever time they need. Never would happen on an AEW main show. Even if Mark and Eddie end up headlining, it is clear that Athena and Shida will be a co-main event as that women's title is presented as the top title of the company with Athena's amazing reign.
I am curious what Shida working stiff will look like as Athena seems to want everyone at their hardest.
I get what you are you saying though, I wish we could get 20-30 minute athena matches in AEW headlining shows, but realistically it would be 10 minute Athena matches mostly occurring during TV breaks or used as comedown matches. And it is stupid, as Athena is one of the top workers right now, and her work with Billie is top notch. I assume HHH is going to try to get her back in the future. Know a bunch of people in WWE are Billie fans too.
