The Last of Us 2 looks even more brutal than the first game. That trailer made me feel uneasy, which is great.
Spider-Man looks dope as hell. It'll be like a version of Arkham Asylum that my kid can play.
Elder Scrolls VI is an obvious must buy, even though I never finished Skyrim. I will one of these days, and this announcement just gives me more incentive to play it all the way through before it comes out.
Very much looking forward to AC:Odyssey. I can't believe they jumped right from Ancient Egypt into Ancient Greece. Ubisoft Montreal knows exactly how to take my money from me. I'm also glad they've once again changed up the mechanics, instead of just putting a Greece skin over AC:Origins. Makes it less painful to shell out the cash for yet another AC game.
Glad we got a Cyberpunk 2077 trailer, even though the game probably won't come out until late 2019 or later. That'll be fun as hell, I bet.
Am I the only person not excited for Death Stranding? I understand it's Kojima so it'll be good, but all the mystery surrounding the game isn't doing anything for me. Yeah, ok, it looks good and Norman Reedus is in it. Great. Please tell me something else. Anything.
Haven't looked up Nintendo's news yet other than the announcements about SSB, which I kind of expected.

Death Stranding looks strange as hell. If that's what he put into a game, imagine the shit they decided they couldn't put in. I'll play it more out of curiosity then anything else.

Unless they announce some new modes, it's a port with a few tweaks and additions. I did forget to mention Fire Emblem which looks like a worthwhile entry in the series. That's not how game development, or you know, software development in general works, the mechanical differences are plenty enough to consider it all being done in a new engine. Porting over assets from older games? sure (and even then, many of them have received makeovers so to consider it a copy paste job would be rude to the efforts taken), but there is enough to see this is not necessarily a port. Just like Splatoon 2 was not a port either. I mean technically you're right, but for all intents and purposes, let's call a spade a spade. The game has more in common with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe than Splatoon 2 and is more or less the definitive version. I do agree that Splatoon 2 being a sequel was pushing it, but it was being sold on a couple of new modes on top of all the other changes.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but neither Splatoon 2 or Mario Kart 8 deluxe received this much attention in a Nintendo Direct? That's what disappointed me more than anything. Not that this product exists or I wanted a proper sequel, but it virtually took up half the Direct to tell us such fascinating pieces of information like how certain guns sound different.
I'm sure like Mario Kart 8 it will sell well and I may even pick it up at some point, but the Direct failed to live up to Nintendo's standards.
At least they didn't announce another amiibo board game...

Death Stranding hopefully will make up for Silent Hills cancellation. PT was fucking terrifying.

Thanks for giving me something to look into. Also Nero kinda looks likes Cody Rhodes now.

It really really doesn't compare. MK8D is the same game, same graphics, same engine, same everything, with just a new mode and a couple characters added, the menu, the backbone, the overall structure of the game is the same, menu for menu, because it's literally a Deluxe version. Smash Ultimate has a new graphic style (everything looks lighter, "fluffier" and more cartoony), sure, the assets are mostly reused, but surprise, almost all videogame sequels do this, hell, Smash 4 has a lot of models that were reused from Brawl, and it doesn't invalidate the work and differences in that game either. The game has already been played a lot during E3 by people, including many competitive players, and they all attest to it being mechanically a new game altogether, the amount of changes it has compared to Smash 4 is not small. And no, Splatoon 2 being a sequel is not pushing it, they did not just take Splatoon 1 and touched it up for the Switch, every single model was remade for it, the netcode is different even. I get that people want all Wii U games ported to the Switch, but that doesn't make every sequel on the Switch a port. Also, Splatoon 2 got focused on in multiple directs, and even got one whole Splatoon Direct just for it before launch, while MK8D did not, you can guess why. I agree that the E3 presentation was below standard and showed very little (not unlike 2016, where they only showed Breath of the Wild and nothing else), especially if you are not that into Smash, I won't fault anybody for being disappointed in it, trust me. Just......don't use the word 'port' like that, cause it's wrong. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is a port, Captain Toad is a port, Tropical Freeze is a port. Splatoon 2 and Smash Ultimate aren't.
