here comes the Australian..
90f... 32 degrees celsius is pretty much a mild day from November to March.
We had an extended summer here, but once Easter hit, it's been below 20 since. I prefer the wet and cold.

It’s tinder dry and windy = fires. Currently we have over 100 wildfires burning through Alberta right now with at least 20 out of control. Sone family and friends have been evacuated around the Drayton Valley, Edson and Sherwood Park areas. Im praying for rain or imma gonna have a house full again.

It’s 28C here and I can’t sit outside to enjoy it because the sky looks post apocalyptic and smoke from the fires is too bad. This is detrimental to those with smaller children, the elderly, those with breathing issues and pets. Send rain.

My friend in Cold Lake (where there were no fires) had a neighbour that decided now would be a perfect time to do a ‘controlled’ burn on his land that quickly got out of control. Even controlled burns should be avoided right now cause it’s so dry farting could light a fire.

Huge widespread storms wrecked entire East Texas region last Thursday night power has been out for probably quarter million people all weekend. Looking like no power all next week and triple digit heat is here. I can’t imagine this is getting much news coverage being in dead spot between Dallas and Shreveport news markets but it’s a huge area wrecked and without power. I barely had a cell signal all day also so that got a little freaky. No hotels or generators anywhere for 4 hour radius. My little town got wrecked again(tornado turned it into third world country last November). The nearest cities to me are hour away and all of them are without power. It’s like Armageddon here not the movie. Should be a fun week to have a house to frame and a 2 year old to take care of.
It’s a good time to have a portable dvd player and some movies, and a game boy god bless old ass shit tech

Graupel is rare though. Stationary front of arctic air being trapped near the mountains is causing this. Heats up tomorrow when it moves by.

Yesterday was beautiful, but looks like we're in for more rain for the weekend. I won't complain about rain because the minute it stops the fires start up again BUT because it was so dry we now have flooding because we got all our rain in 1 week. Looks like next week is warm weather again though. *fingers crossed*

And it's happening again. The local river is just under 0.4m from minor flood level and has risen 6m in 3 weeks. There's already a significant amount of water in low areas, another 0.9m and the river breaks... another 2m and I'm renovating the laundry for the third time in 2 years.
