I've always been terrible at discerning lyrics. Genius.com has saved me. It should have been illegal in the 90s to not include lyrics with a CD.

People have made heaps of TikToks with the wrong lyrics, too late to correct it now.
Was a trend using the audio from this song with the caption “go little rockstar”… which isn’t the lyrics it’s “pope is a rockstar”
To which people would get mad at others for correction and argue it doesn’t matter etc. So assume same thing will happen with metro boomin’s album.

It never made sense.
I also think he name drops Mr. Dunn.

In the first verse there's a lyric "Were they reflections of my warped mind staring back at me."
For a long time I thought it was "Were they reflections of my Walkman staring back at me."
Always sounded a bit off, but it was the 80s and Walkmans were a thing. I imagined a kid walking down the street at night looking at his Walkman.

Pantera's Walk I never heard until RVD. For whatever reason, I thought the lyrics were "breathe, sweat" instead of respect. Guess I was convinced it was a workout song... I see why you'd think that. That does sound similar. "breath, sweat, YOU TALKING TO ME!!!!! :lol:

When I was a kid, I always thought Eiffel 65 said “I’m blue, if I was green I would die. If I was green, I would die, if I was green I would die!” Only to find out it was just Da ba dee Da ba Da. What a screw up by them. I literally just typed out this same answer only to think to myself that this all felt familiar. So I went to page 1 and this was over 5 years ago. -_-
