This is a bit of a continuation of LS and my discussion in the Evolution thread Mickie James was someone who had a big start to her main roster WWE career. She had feuds with and was put over by Trish, Lita, and Victoria and many thought she was going to take the baton from Trish and be the next star of the division. Considering that hot start one might assume that she would go on to have a really memorable career. but has she really? Yes she's had many runs as champ but have any of them really been memorable in respect to her performance? Her first reign was pretty uneventful mainly due to Trish's injury and every other face sucking. Her second reign was pretty short and overshadowed by the emergence of Melina. Her third reign was decent but was once again overshadowed by Melina with her face turn and feud with Beth. Her second to last reign in WWE was outright bad with sloppy or boring matches with Maryse, Alcia, and even Gail Kim. Her last reign after beating Mccool was really too short to be anything. Her TNA run was filled with decent, but unremarkable matches that do not really stand out from one another at all. While her second WWE run has been average at best. I know some will say Mickie is a product of her time, but wrestlers like Melina and McCool were able to be more memorable wreslting basically the same talents in the same period Mickie was around. It seems like Mickie is someone who started with a lot of potential but never really lived up to it, yet still seems to have a better reputation than the likes of Melina or McCool. What are your opinions on Mickie James legacy?

In the general fanbase one memorable match/moment is held in higher regard than a complete body of work. It's why Mickie James and Victoria are hailed as all time greats because of their feuds with Trish. They both began their WWE careers so well that it didn't matter what came after, they would always be seen as incredible. I think Mickie can be really good, but more often than not was formulaic and basic. McCool and Melina may have had better overall matches, but because they never had that one moment/feud/match that was universally loved they aren't remembered as fondly.

Mickey's TNA run had one great match. The cage match with Tara (Victoria) that was a Impact main event Dec 2010.

I used to like Mickie but I feel she wasted her potential and became a lazy worker.

I mean the thez press off the top of the cage was a cool spot, but outside of that it wasn't super memorable imo.

Nah, Gail and Kong definitely had at least one main event.
