What was more impressive in Week 1?
Aaron Rodgers heroic come from behind victory? The debut of Patrick Mahomes? The debut of Sam Darnold? Or Blindy's return?
I choose D and laDDDDDDies and gentlemen, let's get Week 2 started!
Tonight we get the Ravens going on the road to take on the Bengals. The Ravens are coming from a destruction of the Bills, 43-3. Everyone scored for Baltimore. Joe Flacco looks like he's tired of hearing the name "LAMAR" and the Ravens D looks their usual fine-wine self. On the other end, the Bengals had to make a slight comeback to defeat the Colts and spoil the return for Andrew Luck. The Bengals shut down their run-game last week, but was beat by short intermediate throws time and time again.
This is the battle for the sole top spot in the AFC North and although something tells me we're going to get a tie between them, just because it's funny.... I'm going to say that Cincinnati wins a banger as Andy Dalton leads his team down field with under 2 minutes to go and hits Tyler Boyd (dejavu) for the game winning TD. Joe Flacco returns to form with 210 passing yards, 0 TD's and 2 INT's. Alex Collins rushes for 140 yards and a TD. Justin Tucker does Justin Tucker things 3/3, including TWO from 50+. Joe Mixon runs for 115 and a TD. Andy Dalton finishes the game with 230 yards, 1 INT and the GW TD with 35 seconds left. CINCY WINS 17-16.
Anyways, let's goooooooooooooooooooo!

Some good looking games this week: - A rematch of the AFC title game between the Pats and Jags
- Steelers looking to bounce back from the embarrassment of not beating the Browns against the explosive Chiefs offence
- Vikings/Packers - two of the heavy favourites in the NFC
- And the classic SNF Giants/Cowboys with both teams trying to avoid going in the 0-2 hole
The key to the game tonight in my eyes is how Andy Dalton handles himself under pressure. He's notoriously poor when under duress, so tonight will be a real litmus test for the retooled Bengals offensive line as they attempt to keep their QB clean against a fearsome defence that absolutely destroyed Nathan Peterman's life last week.

I wonder if Steve Sarkisian is watching - lovely RZ play design by Bill Lazor to get AJ Green open for the touchdown.
Jessie Bates was a highly rated prospect by people who know what they're talking about. Good to see him get his first pick.

The Bengals D looks ferocious off the jump. This one could get ugly quick if Baltimore don't make a stop soon.

Bengals actually playing well in primetime for a change! They'll be hoping that Billy Price injury isn't serious though.

Flacco got very lucky on that long completion to John Brown - really should have been Bates' second pick of the night. I'm seeing a lot of underthrown balls by Smokin' Joe.

I cut Andy Dalton in my big money league.
He has thrown 4 Fucking TD passes in the first half.
Honestly, fantasy football is getting too painful and unfun for me.

Two more bad throws by Flacco as they turn it over on downs.
Just how bad are the Bills?!

Poor game management by the Bengals not running the clock out there and giving Baltimore another possession and a bit of momentum - only 14 points at half time now.

Just realized I'm going against Foos and his AJ Green. Dayum. Not for nothing, but a lot of people including myself slept on AJ Green coming into this season. He already has 4 TDs this season (leading NFL obv) and is playing great.

Two consecutive great plays by the Bengals defence to force another turnover on downs. Absolutely fantastic tackle by Dennard on fourth down.

Cincinnati offence needs to sack up and put this game away now. They've done nothing since half time and the Ravens are right back in it. A good team takes time off the clock here and put points on the board.

Really bizarre end to the game with the Ravens just giving up. OK it's unlikely that they could have come back from 11 points down but you might as well try rather than just have Flacco run out the clock (and pad his stats) with checkdowns over the middle.

Not surprised to see Bengals doing well. Not a lot of weaknesses in their unit. Good defense, good receivers and a functional quarterback.
Was a decent game but the defensive pass interference call with seconds to go in the first half was a joke. These calls are a big problem and dogging the game.
Also Flacco looked like he couldn't be bothered when it became a two-score game near the end?

Disappointed in the Bengals, Flacco threw 6 sure Int's, and they dropped 4 of them.

Not sure why they didn’t kick a FG and make it an 8 point game. They should’ve given themselves a chance to recover an onside kick. That was some weird as fuck game management. Complete forfeit.

That is crazy and out of nowhere. I wonder if this is like the Raiders and Martavis Bryant situation where they are aware he's about to be suspended again and decided to cut bait early. Can't blame them at all if that's the case.
If it's for another reason it becomes really interesting , but I don't see what that would be.

Belichick will pick him up, can see it coming a mile away. Gordon to catch a TD from Brady in the SuperBowl confirmed.
Interesting that it doesn't seem drug related, apparently he lied about where his injury originated. Browns were loyal to him for a long time but not this front office, he wasn't their player. I don't blame them.
This won't happen because McNair doesn't have the balls but I'd love to see him catch TD passes from Watson. We need receiver depth.

So going into today, here are some interesting storylines.
Sam Darnold looks to go 2-0 to start his career, but they face their rivals in the Dolphins. The Dolphins are looking for a 2-0 start and I am PTSDing over Jets history thinking they’ll shit the bed after their newsworthy dominant win to open up the season. The Jets haves legit chance to start 3-0 with Cleveland next on Thursday as they have 3 games in 11 days.
Will he play or will he not play? Those are the questions surrounding Aaron Rodgers. If he plays, he’s facing the dominant D of Minnesota. It is a division game so it does feel important, but I think he should take the week off. Play for the season.
Leanord Fournette is most likely not going to play joining Devonte Freeman in RBs who got injured in Week 1. Joe Mixon joined them with an injury on Thursday so he’ll be out for 2-3 weeks.
We also get the Giants and Cowboys rivalry and one of these two teams are falling to 0-2. Another Cowboys offensive struggle gives me a lot of reason to believe Jerry Jones is going to snatch up FLASH from Cleveland Monday morning.
Andrew Luck looked very good last week with his short passes. He faces the Redskins who are coming off of a dominant defensive performance to open up the season. Ryan Grant is my pickto have a huge 7 redemption, 125 yard and 2 TD game against his former team. Expect Josh Norman to shut down TY and Luck to continue to lead the way for comeback player of the year. Washington has a legitimate chance to start the season off 2-0 and have a 2 game lead over the loser of NYG and Dallas. Alex Smith is legit.
Tampa Bay looks for some more Fitzmagic as they try and pull off another monster upset of the defending Super Bowl Champions, Philadelphia Eagles. New Orleans looks to bounce back and destroy the Cleveland Browns who have now let go of Josh Gordon. Drew Brees is going to have a field day against Cleveland and I expect heads to roll if Cleveland starts 0-2-1 after the next Thursday game. Haley will take Hues spot and Baker to take over Tyrod Taylor’s starting spot for Week 4. Calling it now if they start 0-2-1. The distractions are real in Cleveland. Dez should stay away.
Also Jimmy G might start 0-2 as both the Niners and Lions look for their first win.
Last but not least, shut the bells off because James Conner is coming. Will Mahomes continue his magic or will Pittsburgh bounce back. Big Ben at home; I like it. Another monster game for James Conner incoming.

Aaron Rodgers is playing. It’s been reported as of like 8am.
Going to need to be another quick strike attack , the diagnosis on the injury doesn’t sound great but he’s going to try and tough it out.
This game is going to be on Pettines new defense. The old cliche is bad offensive lines don’t travel well so he’s going to have to attack them early and make some splash plays to take the pressure off Rodgers.
If the Packers win it’s going to have to be like a 20-13 type game.

Also good for the Browns cutting Gordon , although it’s interesting they didn’t cut the rookie in Hard Knocks after his lie about being pulled over. I guess this could send a message though.
I’d imagine hell be on the Cowboys or Pats before too long.

How do you feel about Rodgers playing UT? Seems risky given the opposition and the fact that it's early in the season. Minnesota front is scary.

It could come back to bite the Packers and Rodgers in the ass but the Packers have one of the most conservative medical staffs in the NFL so if he really SHOULDN’T be playing I don’t think he would be. They just need to get the ball out of his hands. If McCarthy starts calling seven step drops and scramble plays I will have a problem.
