These penalties on legit sacks are getting more and more ridiculous. And people wonder why I have so little respect for most of today's QB's. So far Aaron Rodgers is the ONLY QB that has had the balls to call this nonsense for the bullshit that it is. This keeps up I might have to give the XFL a serious look because this is NOT real football.

So what was called a "Textbook Play" last year, is now a "Dirty Play" this year. I hate this new bodyweight rule.

So of every game this year , and even the roughing calls aside... the officials are ruining the game. I don’t know why they decided in the off-season try need to impact the game more but it’s been terrible to watch. The NFL needs to fix it.

There was a massively terrible personal foul call in the Bills game too. I can’t remember who it was but he got called for leading with his helmet when it very obviously wasn’t. He led with his shoulder, wrapped the catcher up and it was an amazing, clean hit. I couldn’t believe it.

Fortunately the refs were mostly good the rest of the game and the call didn’t allow Minnesota back into the game, but I was fucking baffled. McDermott lost his mind on the sidelines.

They are in a dangerous situation now with these quarterback rules of having the focus swing back the other way. If pass rushers are going to get penalised even when they avoid hitting high or low, then what's the point for them? They might as well hit with the intention of hurting the QB. The bodyweight rule is particularly ridiculous.

Kerryon Johnson's a fun player to watch - very shifty and elusive.

Patriots defence is admittedly undermanned but not looking impressive at all early here. No pass rush and lots of missed tackles. Lions need to make this good start show on the scoreboard.

Frank Ragnow didn't get good reviews for his first couple of pro games but he's looking great tonight. Love him as a real roadgrader getting up to the second level on numerous running plays here in the first half.

Horrible game-swinging pick from Stafford who had his man over the top for a big gain but put completely the wrong touch on the pass. Pats predictably march right down the field and put it in the endzone - comeback victory seems inevitable now.

The Pats look off tonight.

They're doubling Gronk to take him away but none of the receivers can beat their single coverage. Brady had all day on that third down but just had nowhere to go with the ball.

Cleveland wins a game and Detroit has a 100 yard rusher - we've entered the twilight zone.

Wow. At the end of tonight, Miami will have a two game lead over the whole AFC East.

First of all, fuck that porn has been. Second off, if the Bucs beat the Steelers; what do they do? Surely this is not something the Steelers organization are supposed to be about.

Definitely not a pretty scenario, but I've seen them rattle of 10 win win streaks. 0-3 is grim, but not insurmountable. The defense just needs to get mediocre, fast. Even mediocre and that offense should be able to carry things.

There was one play in that game I seen flipping over that I found far worse than any of these roughing penalties they've been calling. Your guys linebacker #50 absolutely killed Diggs on the sideline in the third quarter - I thought that could have been a penalty as it was more than a little egregious of a hit. Alas though he's not a quarterback so who cares if he gets crushed. 

The Packers game sucked , overall it was a sloppy game played by us and I felt bad for Rodgers who was laying it all out there and playing great only to watch his teammates drop and fumble balls left and right. Or just commit stupid penalties away from the play that wipe out him gimping for a 12 yard first down.

That and the refs just blew , I mean they took over the game. There was a point in the 1st quarter where the Packers had PI calls on three straight plays and ended up with first and goal on the 1 Yard line , the last one was the only obvious call because House is a moron. The Matthews call ended up not mattering as they punted that drive anyway but still.

There were holds everywhere , including like every punt return. There was a flag where they showed the replay and it was CLEAR Tramon did everything in his power to avoid a block in the back , he successfully missed blocking him in the back and did lay a hand on him and they threw the flag anyways.

I normally hate the Packers losses but always love and have fun watching the games - I didn't even have fun this game. It was terrible to watch , even if we made a good play it was more than likely coming back.

It was technically a legal hit because Diggs was still in bounds when contact was initiated , but a simple shove or shoulder check would have sufficed. Instead he proceeded to piledrive him with his helmet and all his body weight driving him down. It tooks Diggs a quick minute to get up. Like you said , it's hypocrisy and stuff like that is worse than simply tackling a quarterback in the pocket who still has the god damn ball in his hand.

Me either. Obviously a play-off spot is a pipe dream right now but once the sum of the team starts matching the individual team I think we'll be ok.

I always appreciate optimism but I just don't see how the Texans bounce back , in the NFL you have to win the games you should - and IMO the Texans against both the Titans and Giants were in perfect matchups and should have walked away with the victory. And then when you look at the loss to the Patriots team who also seem to not be very good at the moment and it's more likely that Houston just isn't a good football team.

I'm pessimistic about the Packers team even though it's not as bad as I make it seem. We tied the Vikings which is fine , and had to go on the road against what could be a playoff caliber Redskins squad and just started really slow , something that could of been foreshadowed after a knockdown dragout game against Minnesota that spanned almost an extra quarter. We have an easy schedule coming up though so if we start blowing these games than we are done too.
