The Packers game yesterday wasn't as much infuriating as it was laughable , so many fucking mistakes yet again that managed to dig themselves an insurmountable hole. Two fumbles by Rodgers FIVE MISSED KICKS by Crosby (4 FG's and 1XP) and stupid penalties yet again. I know the box score isn't going to say the defense had a good game but they actually played well enough to win yet again and if it didn't take two quarters to get going again I think that would have shown. Also would have been real nice to have those 13 points left on the board Crosby.

Jay Ajayi out for season. The hits keep on coming for the Eagles. UT, we still on for that 2/3 bet of Eagles/Packers/Patriots amirite? Washington can have a 1.5 game lead in their division if they pull off the upset tonight. Drew Brees is about to break a record tonight. I think it's going to be close throughout, but Drew Brees will finish his historic day with a 2 minute drive to win the game, hitting Benjamin Watson for the GW TD with 15 seconds left. 24-23 Saints.

Hopkins isn't quarterback proof , he was rendered pretty ineffective during that Brock Osweiler year. I know he still had 900 yards but he wasn't remotely the same. 900 yards with Brock is like 1800 with anyone else.

And just to jump in on the Hopkins debate; I don't think it's an argument.
It goes:
1- AB 2- Julio 3- Hopkins 4- OBJ
Julio Jones is still the 2nd best WR, but has a poor connection with Matt Ryan. I wouldn't be surprised if the Falcons don't flip him if they have a disastrous season for a pair of first rounders. They can move forward with Calvin Ridley and send Julio to an AFC team with cap space and draft picks to spare.
Or Julio will just be a gifted WR who never reaches full potential.

Aj Green brings it on and off field unlike OBJ. Close but I will take Green. He also kicked Ramsey ass last year so brownie points. Beckham tried to Zidane Josh Norman, Aj Green said fuck it I'm gonna attack a cocky Jalen Ramsey. Not on the level of the Finnegan beat down provided by Andre Johnson but still.

Fuck it might be jumping the gun too soon but Hopkins has overtaken Andre Johnson as best WR in Houston franchise history. Just fucking wow. Best player on the team, way to fucking attack the ball. C'mon that's just disrespectful. In his prime Andre was arguably the most complete receiver in the league. He could burn you deep, move the chains, run over you or around you and was an outstanding blocker. He was also ridiculously productive with 60+ catches in his first 8 seasons (first WR to ever do that) and 7 1000 yd + seasons. Hopkins still has a LONG way to go before he can be compared to the likes of Andre Johnson. Defenses had to game plan around both Arian Foster in his prime and a prime Matty Schaub. That isn't to discredit Andre Johnson who is great but HR is right, Hopkins has been the lone real threat prior to Watson on that Texans offense. People forget how good Schaub was under Kubiak. He had some backbreaking pick sixes and not the best arm but he over achieved with his talent and made plays necessary to get that team to hang in a tough division led by Peyton's Colts.

He's getting there for sure. I ranked him at #8 on my top 10 GOAT Texans in my Diary Of A Mad Texans Fan thread behind Jonathan Joseph, Arian Foster, Chris Myers, Brian Cushing, Duane Brown, JJ Watt, and Andre but in my writeup I stated that he would most likely jump up the list several spots over just the next year or two(hell, I would put him over Joseph right now and he will most likely pass up Foster and Myers to crack the top 5 at some point this year as well). He's only in his 6th year this year Andre did it for 12 years back before we had Arian Foster or Matt Schaub when HE was all that defenses would gameplan for because he was ALL we had literally from 2003 until probably 2010 when Foster broke out, that's 7 years right there(and I can rattle off dozens of times he made plays like the ones Hopkins did last night during that time). For example Andre in 2006 with David Carr led the NFL in receptions with over 100 catches. Hopkins has only played 5 years he's in his 6th year now so I mean he does have quite a ways to go before he tops Andre. From what I've seen Andre was much more dominant than Hopkins on the field man to man and also another part of Andre's legacy for this team IS Hopkins, he passed the torch to him and had a huge influence on him now Hopkins is the best in the NFL so Andre is GOAT Texan ever and it's going to take a couple of Lombardis for anybody to top him, at least in my book.

What do you think to that All American show KING KID ? I'm going to check it out. It would be better if it were a movie, although it started to look like Alpha Dog for a second on the trailer. Doubt the show lasts. I do need to watch Friday Night Lights, though. The TV show, not the movie.

Surprised to hear you haven't watched FNL! I am definitely looking for something to fill that hole in my TV life.
I can't believe the state of kicking at the moment. Another miss!

Yeah, man. I was wondering if this is going to affect how teams pay kickers in the future. These kickers are awful.

I could really do without the "xx yards to go for the record" after every single play. God this MNF crew is annoying.

Josh Norman leaving his man wide open like that was as suspect as the time Favre handed Strahan the sack record.

Words can't express what Drew means to us fans. I am lucky to be a Saints fan in this era. It is going to be a sad day when he retires. I knew the Saints would be hard to beat tonight. The way the stadium was rocking and the team came out playing from the start, it felt like a special night.

This is a pitiful effort by Washington. The NFC East is so bad the Giants could still win the division.

I literally need a defensive TD from New Orleans to win a league in where I benched Brees for Ryan. So close twice, but now I'm down 5!
Time for Teddy Bridgewater soon.

Just disappointed Brees couldn't get that one more, to set the record and join the 500 club.

Crazy how history writes itself.
Drew Brees breaks the record at home on MNF. That’s storybook. It would’ve been perfect if he joined the 500 club but that could wait 2 more weeks. Fun weekend of football, though.

We have our first schedule flex of the season.
The Rams and 49ers SNF game has been flexed out to a 425ET start. From the 1pm slot to the SNF slot Ian now the Bengals visiting the Chiefs.
Showtime Mahomes, huh?

Brees is quietly having a ridiculous season btw. 11 TDs, no INTs, 1658 yards, 77.9 completion (lol wtf). This guy is an absolute monster, so much so that we just take him for granted, similar to Brady. What a player.

Showtime Mahomes, huh? Good news. We got banged with Garoppolo's injury because the 49ers had four more primetime games. I imagine Week 13 vs Seattle will be flexed out as well. Back to back Chiefs games on Sunday night is 👍 Brees is quietly having a ridiculous season btw. 11 TDs, no INTs, 1658 yards, 77.9 completion (lol wtf). This guy is an absolute monster, so much so that we just take him for granted, similar to Brady. What a player. That completion percentage is just absurd. Surely it will come down slightly, but at the moment he would absolutely smash his own NFL single season record of 72%. He also has three of the top five completion percentage seasons of all time. Phil Rivers is another veteran QB who is quietly having an unreal season. His stat line is almost identical to everyone's MVP pick Pat Mahomes.
