Punk pulls his shit there Bully will knock his ass out.
Not sure why Impact would risk Punk, as a lawsuit from him could end the fed for good.
Guess Punk has zero international connections now too if Impact is his pick over Noah, NJPW, AAA or CMLL. But those all had ties to AEW of late.
Love the WWE excuse too of Punk basically has nothing to offer WWE we do not already have.
Wonder if after Impact passes on him, we get GCW rumors, then smaller and smaller feds, until Punk is working front of a dozen people at some local Chicago training fed show.

Love the WWE excuse too of Punk basically has nothing to offer WWE we do not already have.Wonder if after Impact passes on him, we get GCW rumors, then smaller and smaller feds, until Punk is working front of a dozen people at some local Chicago training fed show. Watching RAW this week, I doubt Punk could keep up with WWE's top guys. And they're right, WWE doesn't need Punk. And he'd likely only serve as a distraction. IMPACT is a joke. Let's be honest. It's a weird parallel universe that no-one wants to visit. But I could see it working. You don't have the immaturity in IMPACT as you do in AEW, nor the egos. The top guys in TNA ( I'm calling it TNA to save the keystrokes ) are generally very easy going guys, ie; Shelley, Sabin, etc Let me fantasy book for a moment... Bully is out first, he's smart enough to see how easy it would be to make money with Punk, or at least get eyes on the product. Both are talkers, both are assholes and both would work to make it work. A worked shoot segment or two between these guys would be classic stuff with Bully serving as something of a gate-keeper concerned Punk is bringing his bullshit here. Shelley is next, and of course this is a title feud. Alex is a great talker also, and you could easily draw on parallels between the two careers. Both came from the same place, both are of that same generation - yet, have remarkably different careers. Drawing on the fact Punk is an asshole, Shelley's potentially got a " proof, Nice Guys Finish Last - but not this time " promo in him to build to their title match. Punk wins the belt, he then feuds briefly with Sabin next. It's a continuation of a growing anti-Punk sentiment. Sabin being a +20 year legend in TNA is seen as a locker-room leader, in contrast, there isn't a locker-room in the world that doesn't hate CM Punk. It's about honour, respect... blah, blah, blah.. Josh Alexander is out next to close out the first 12 months of Punk's first full year without an incident. Past v Present.. future. Punk calls out Alexander and points to the similarities between his current TNA run and his time in WWE and AEW. He spent 8 years wrestling meat-heads in New York, and low and behold the first guy to call him out here is the biggest meat-head of them all. He then spent a year or so surrounded by vanilla midgets and, ironically the most vanilla of all the midgets here were the next two guys to step up. Now he wants to fight someone that actually looks like they could be champion. Punk drops the title to Alexander and takes a few months off. He then returns and Kaz don't like him and like a true asshole Punk asks Kaz " how is Traci these days? " Every week Punk comes out, sits in the ring and starts telling stories that begin with " Hey, Traci.. remember that one time in that hotel in.... " before getting cut off by a enraged Kaz. Cue a big No DQ pay-off with Kaz getting his revenge and leaving Punk bloodied. Real chicken-shit heel type work from Punk....

Impact just hired Ace Steel as a producer for Bound for Glory. Punk almost certainly coming in now.
Willy and Speedball should be a lot of fun.

Congrats to the Knockouts division and their fans Lony @admin Sonny Kiss is an absolute baller. She is instant charisma and I actually think does what Trinity does but better as her athletism is vastly underrated. I said Kiss could have been AEW's Trinity/Naomi but TK as usual dropped the ball. LOOK AT THAT OVATION. How the fuck did Tony Khan not see star power here?

Impact is the best place for most girls these days. Kiss will be a star here. She can also work face because many of these girls have 50 pounds or so on her, whereas in AEW she was one of the bigger people.

I actually like the Impact Wrestling name but to each their own.
Mike Bailey/Will Osprey was absolutely insane, just a fantastic match-up between both men. It's definitely my favorite Osprey match for October, and I say that, having loved the hell out of Osprey/ZSJ at Royal Quest III. I'm also looking forward to Osprey's upcoming matches against Eddie Edwards and Josh Alexander as well, as they should be good stuff.
Honestly, though, I just think Bound For Glory was a great show, from top to bottom, as I enjoyed all the matches to varying degrees.

Blindy , that Gisele Shaw/Sonny Kiss interaction... love it. I'd love to see Gisele hold Knockouts gold. Rly hoping for that Kiss/Trinity match for the gold TBH but they are too alike. Can live with Kiss chasing for the tag titles. TNA gold for Miss TNA.

In a way, this is growth for the company. This is a move that rewards loyal fans. I don't think the Impact Wrestling brand was bad at all. However, for all the harsh critics of the TNA brand name, this shows that those folks were the vocal minority who didn't care for the product anyway.

With the right tone and direction TNA could be something special again.
The response to this and D'Amore's promo suggest there's a lot of people willing to support this.
Without this turning into an AEW bashing, I think AEW had a lot of initial interest and success due to the fact they first presented as an alternative to WWE, and secondarily they relied heavily on " TK has an announcement" to keep the interest up. When the product didn't always deliver, it lost fans and gained critics and hopefully TNA has learnt from that, and TNA's initial run that a bit of passion now and the debuting superstar of the week trope isn't going to lead to any significant growth.
This is a second chance at glory that I hope they really manage well.

Sure Punk will help guide them to a new level of success and not totally take over the fed and ruin them. Unlike Tony or WWE, TNA will not be able to survive a major lawsuit from him.

D'Amore did a few interviews the last couple of days, and it suggest TNA is going all in on this relaunch.
I sense a renewed confidence in TNA from within. They've been a joke for years, and I'd be thinking they've likely got a few tricks up their sleeves to ensure Hard To Kill makes a yum.. sorry, an.. OK, I'll do this... an impact.

wish there was a little more storyline with EY and Josh teaming up. Not sure what they call themselves but with the return of TNA there really needs to be a return of Team Canada.

I don't know if they need an updated version of Team Canada, however, I will say that I've enjoyed their tag matches against The Machine Guns and Subculture though. Edit: With that said, if they don't plan on putting the Impact heavyweight championship, back on Josh Alexander anytime soon, the two of them competing as a team in the tag division, wouldn't be the worst thing to happen either.

The Deonna/Trinity trilogy of matches were decent to good matches, although nowhere near as good as Purrazzo's trilogy with Jordynne Grace (aka some of the best women's wrestling in 2023). Given the stipulation of the match (plus the post-match stuff), I'm definitely intrigued to see what's next for The Virtuosa heading into next year.
What a main-event match, between Eddie Edwards and Will Osprey, it was easily the best match of the night.
Overall, Turning Point was a pretty solid show, from top to bottom, with the women being showcased tremendously well. Also in the upcoming weeks, there are some interesting matches to look forward to, Alex Shelley vs. Johnathan Gresham for the Impact heavyweight championship (November 9th), and of course Josh Alexander vs. Will Osprey (November 16th).

I don't get why DP & Trinity didn't trade title wins. They had 3 matches & 2 of them were meaningless. A loss wouldn't have hurt Trin at all. Maybe it could've added suspense to the feud.
