I didn't think it was possible to laugh and be furious simultaneously but those back to back QB sneaks have proved me wrong.
And then no onside kick?! I am convinced Shurmur was told to make sure we lost the game - there's no way you can honestly make those decisions.

I'm absolutely stunned right now at the sheer incompetence of our coaching staff right now. Going for 2 when an extra point would have brought us within 7 points? Running back to back QB sneaks with no time outs? And doing so with our shitty offensive line?
Eli's not blameless for this either. That is a situation where Eli should tell the coaching staff "You're fucking crazy" and audible to a play that actually makes sense. And if the sneaks were Eli's idea then shame on him and the coaching staff should honestly consider benching him next week. The shot arm and shitty reads notwithstanding this kind of boneheaded clock management is unforgivable.

The tank battle between us, Oakland, Arizona and San Francisco is going to be fierce. Arizona were brilliant on Thursday, Gruden is getting rid of anyone with talent, but we fired off a great shot here tonight. At least the Raiders are our only real competition for the #1 QB.

Not that I am unhappy since Jets got a free third round pick but I think so many people would like to have seen Shurmur get Teddy Bridgewater especially at that contract that he ended up getting by the Jets.
To refuse to go after him TWICE when he could have been had is terrible by Gettleman. I'm not even saying Bridgewater great but c'mon this Eli is better than Teddy? TEDDY is YOUNG and you let the Saints swing a deal for him as their QB of the future?
They were full of shit with Davis Webb so what? They gunned Lauletta for months as to the reason to not sign Bridgewater for like 1 million dollars? There was no investment for Bridgewater, if he isn't healthy or the knee is done for okay that's that but come the fuck on now. Eli is over matched at this point and he doesn't have the legs to shake the poor pass protection.

I think the Jaguars are the ones who are most culpable for not going after Bridgewater. They're in a genuine SB window whereas the Giants aren't a middling QB away from contending. I agree in theory that they should have done but it was clear that they put this season down as an Eli apology farewell tour right or wrong.

Saints just traded a 4th round pick for Giants CB Eli Apple. I know he’s known for being a head case but he has to be better than the two shit stains we have after Lattemore. Is this a good move for the Saints? @hr therealltEli Apple is the 38 rated CB this year while Crawley is #105. Looks like a solid upgrade to me. I see some Saints fans are butt hurt about not getting Patrick Peterson but the price would have been way higher and we don’t have a 2019 first round pick or the cap space(without moving things around).

As you said he's better than any Saints corner except for Lattimore. And for a 4th rd pick I'd say he's well worth it. The Giants are trading him mainly because he's being a dipshit in the locker room, not because he can't ball. The Saints being a contender should help with the attitude, but beware if the defense or the team in general hits a skid.

Seeing us give up on first round draft picks in back to back weeks really tells you all you need to know about how the Giants have got in this situation. The only silver lining to us moving on is that outside of the top 5, that 2016 draft class was pretty average. Apple hasn't been terrible this season and will be an upgrade on Crawley as you guys have mentioned, but it's a bit of a letdown for Saints fans with Patrick Peterson on the block (and probably off to a SB rival) . A fourth round pick for a starting level CB is good value though. Since when is the NFL trade deadline so active? Weird. I'm glad the offseason trend has continued - everyone else has cottoned on to the fact that successful teams like the Eagles, Patriots and Rams make moves to try and get better. It's exciting!

Back to back seasons of me thinking the Giants were a Super Bowl contender and instead it’s looking like another top 3 draft pick.
The Giants have now traded Snacks Harrison to the Detroit Lions.

Damn good move for Detroit, Snacks is a DAMN good run stuffer. Maybe not a great pass rusher but as a NT , he's darn stoud. Shame Giants fans never warmed up to him like the Way Jets fans have when they stole him away from us. Wish Jets kept him over scrubs like Wilkerson.such a good locker room leader.
For a 5th? That's all? Eli Apple and his agent mother get you more? Damn good move by Detroit. They didn't impress me at all when I saw them vs the Jets but somehow they are 3-3 so they still think they can make playoffs. They beat NE and Mia so they are good with me.

I have no problem blowing the team up but what the fuck? The best run stuffer in the game who doesn't even have a particularly exorbitant contract and you can only get a fifth round pick?
Amazing work by the Lions.

Only a 5th? Terrible trade for the Giants. Snacks was worth more than that. Detroit definitely got the better end of this one. I'm starting to think that Gettleman is basing his trades simply on whether or not the players were acquired by Jerry Reese rather than whether said players are productive or not. Dollars to donuts he doesn't move Solder or Fernandez who have both been awful this season.

You can only trade players that others want. We'd be selling very low on Solder who is massively under delivering on his contract, the other teams who were in for him in FA are probably very glad we paid overs for him. Hernandez has been good (certainly not awful - no idea where you've got that from) and obviously you're not going to trade a second round draft pick 7 games into his career. He has shown all the potential to be a 10-year starter for us.
If we move anyone else it will be someone like Olivier Vernon - although again you need someone to absorb his big contract.

In some upsetting news, Bilal Powell’s neck injury may be a career ending one. To most, he’s a nobody. To a Jets fan, he’s the guy who was just never lucky enough to get that backfield but played with a lot of heart.
Sad times in the NY football world.

Loyalty, perservience and misfortune are how you sum Powell. What a damn good Jet. He wasn't the most talented back but dude outwants it over defenses and was a big part of our squad in 2015.
