I just saw this on my Twitter timeline so did some digging and rumours are swirling around everywhere. Apparently he walked out of Raw last night

Do you blame him? He was holding the CW division together and look how dirty they did him...for Enzo. Enzo.

Don't blame him in the least, it just sucks because he was on such a good run.

The twitter account they source is "meh" at best but ProWrestlingSheets are right more often than not, and they don't source this themselves but rather quote people closer to the situation.

So this looks pretty legit.

Honestly it makes me fucking sad that Neville would leave, but I don't blame him. He should be a far bigger deal in the WWE than he is.

But at the same time, none of this is on Enzo. He's a proven draw and did wonders for 205 Live over the past few weeks.

I get what you are saying about Enzo and I get their idea behind it but Aries wasn't given his fair shake either. I can see why both would ask for their release.

Pigeonholing guys as cruiserweights dooms them in WWE. It would be a shame if they blow it with a guy as good as Neville.

being put behind Enzo is an insult for anyone! Cant blame Neville if he wants out.

Prolly feels like he could make more money in Japan and the U.K. at this point. I'm disappointed because I wanted to see a slow build to his rematch with Enzo. With the right build that could be an awesome Wrestlemania match but I guess it won't happen now for a number of reasons.

Exactly. 

The difference between he and Chad Gable is 8 lbs. That's it. That's if you absolutely believe that's Neville's shoot weight. Id' argue he's bigger than the 205 limit. There's absolutely no reason why Neville can't be used else where and at a much higher level. If anything, his heel run has shown how much range he actually has. 

He could be used, the problem is that he doesn't stand out in the right way. He isn't a great promo, he doesn't have a gimmick (unless you count wearing a cape a gimmick) and unfortunately for him, he's short.

It's a shame because he's an awesome wrestler and easily one of the best the WWE has right now, but that only gets you so far in the company. To them, he's the star of the show nobody watches and they had to go send Enzo to make it relevant.

Before he signed he was not confident he deserved to get in. A few years later he's like I can't take this shit! I welcome the return of Jungle PAC.

I am shocked by this as I talked to him last week and he didnt mention anything about being unhappy. Although he did mention that he put in for a a movie

He's a great promo and hasn't worn a cape since he turned heel. What you talkin about, Big Pete? 

What was his character before the heel run? Cape. I think that's what he meant. Neville, before turning, was just another good worker in a sea of them.

That was before last night when he was yanked from the main event vs Enzo, in favor of Kalisto.

I'm going to wait until more information comes out. This could be blown way out of proportion or maybe he's just pissed about his place on the roster. Hell we all saw his reaction to that shit they put out as merch for him. Time will tell though.

Rumors like this usually are not blown out of proportion. The thing with Neville is Pac was big before WWE. If WWE cannot give him what he wants, Japan will for sure. This feel a lot like Cody. While WWE may be the only game in town again, they need to realize people can still opt not to play and still make decent money in Japan and the indy scene.

I don't get why people are ragging Enzo's push. I hated the guy as a face but he's a fantastic heel. Workrate isn't everything. The entire division has been hotter with him as the focal point than the year it existed before his push.

Enzo is a guy people will pay to see get beaten.

Rumors are Neville was not set to work the show at all, so the whole walking out stuff is just not possible. The release rumors do not make much sense unless this is a pay issue. Then suddenly they make a whole lot of sense if he can match his pay working indie dates.

It always irks the shit out of me when people holler "short people aren't legit heavyweights". Chris Jericho was 5'8 or 5'9. Multiple time world champion. Same thing with Mysterio, Benoit, etc. If I was him, I'd walk too. To go from NXT Heavyweight Champion, to a Cruiserweight title that the audience could give a shit less about while he could be having 5 star matches with AJ Styles, Shinsuke, Mahal, etc is a complete disgrace and a massive waste of his talent and ability.

 If what you said are rumors, then him walking off isn't impossible.

Neither story has been proven or confirmed yet.

A few updates on the Neville-WWE situation:

*There have been reports that Neville walked out of Raw. That is incorrect. He was never on the road this past weekend as he did not work any of the live events and was not backstage, at any point, during Raw this past Monday. Mustafa Ali worked the Raw house shows, wrestling Enzo Amore, replacing Neville, who was originally slated for those shows.

*The original plan for Raw was Neville vs. Enzo Amore, but that was changed late in the day when it became known Neville would not be at the taping (possibly when everyone was made aware he wasn't going to be there, because there was discussion of making it a non-title match after it was noted Neville technically could "not have" a title shot vs. Enzo), the decision was made to go with Kalisto and put the belt on him as a way to tie him to the legacy of Eddie Guerrero, as it was Guerrero's birthday and he legitimately helped inspire Kalisto to get into professional wrestling.

*According to two different sources, Neville has pushed for a release with the idea of leaving the company and building his name outside of it, similar to what Drew McIntyre did prior to his return to NXT. We have been told there were several factors Neville was unhappy with. One source claimed a souring point was being left off of the Wrestlemania 33 DVD, which meant no royalties from what is traditionally the biggest selling WWE DVD of the year.

*Neville is still under contract to the company and has not been released. It is entirely possible the two sides will come to terms and he will return to the company, but as of right now, we are told he is not factored in any of the current plans for the Cruiserweight division or any other WWE brand and is not slated to travel to any house shows.

We're a bit dramatic aren't we? Neville held the title for 233 days. Unfortunately for Neville and for people who value not having to endure Enzo Amore, that piece of horse shit gets a reaction. He's over, far beyond that of anyone in the cruiserweight division. As painfully awful he is in the ring, and frustratingly painful his promos - he's over.

Enzo, and he's still a piece of trash, who I'd imagine smells the way he looks, will do more by being an absolute douchebag than 2 guys under 205 lbs just wrestling will ever do in this day and age in the WWE.

The smart booking would have been a slow burner, with Kalisto or whoever they want to elevate picking up wins over Enzo's allies, beating Enzo in tag matches, Enzo winning tag matches by cheating, etc. And build this babyface contender up as the hero of the cruiserweight division who will in a 1 on 1 match defeat Enzo eventually.

Instead they hot-potatoed that ugly, plastic looking title again.

Apparently, being cut from the WM33 DVD was also a sore spot for Aries too. I can see why they would want out. Seems not only Impact with issues of paying people what they're worth....

Well when they mess with people's money, they have a right to be pissed.

I personally think both these guys are drinking their own kool-aid. Neville and Aries that is.

You can understand a Cody Rhodes type situation, a 10 year tenure with the WWE, continually under-utilized and one awful angle or gimmick after the other. And as much as Cody likes to pretend he took a huge gamble, wrestling career or not - Cody Rhodes would have deep pockets.

Neville can be frustrated, it doesn't mean he's right. It's only been the last 10 months, he's done anything of interest. And Aries, he's banking on past performances and his TNA career, there's a sense of entitlement there - I should be cruiserweight champion, because I'm AA. Na. Bobby Roode wasn't great in TNA. The 'IT Factor' gimmick was something of an oxymoron. But he became something interesting in NXT and will have opportunity on the main roster.

According to PWInsider.com, former Cruiserweight Champion Neville, who has been off WWE TV for several weeks, could be returning soon. The report furthered there have been some positive talks as of late between Neville and WWE, and that the talks have gone so well, it’s possible Neville could be returning to WWE as soon as the end of this month, maybe even sometime this week.

Neville has been off TV since last month, and while reports claimed the former Cruiserweight Champion ‘walked out’ on the company and refused to put Enzo Amore over, those reports ended up being untrue. Sources noted that it was more likely Neville had pushed for a WWE release so he could build his name up outside the company, and then return down the line, similar to the course taken by Drew McIntyre.
