It's nuts to think, two months ago I was in the french capital, my second time in Paris, enjoying a slight weekend detour from my family reunion in Holland.

For those who aren't aware or haven't seen the news recently, here's a snip-it:

As in previous weeks, a peaceful protesters – many of them from provincial towns and cities, and from the suburbs of Paris – have been infiltrated by extreme-right, extreme-left and anarchist elements. And now the Foreign Minister said French security services had opened a probe into possible Russian involvement in the 'yellow vest' movement. According to the Alliance for Securing Democracy, about 600 Twitter accounts known to promote Kremlin views were focusing on France, boosting their use of the hashtag #giletsjaunes, the French name for the yellow vest protesters.

In the West, they call it 'rioting' - in the third world, or developing nations - it's a revolution. Are we seeing a revolution? Considering Europe has seen similar protests in Belgium, now Holland, Germany, Serbia etc. What does this mean for France? For the EU?

"Fuel and energy costs are too high" These are the same protesters as those who want to have the Paris climate targets and renewable energy.
NEWSFLASH - You can't have cheap energy and a high percentage of renewables.
Climate policy is important, but it is international socialism and it will not work!
People in the West are not going to go to one electric car per family to make room in the carbon targets for a 3rd world country to modernise.... Not going to happen.

So might as well shoot all the protesters because they're too stupid to understand the way the world works.

It's also interesting to me the way this new wave socialism protests greed in the 3rd world in the way they target what the wealthy earn.
So it's greedy to work hard and make good money but not greedy to want that wealth redistributed to you without you doing the work?

The Paris Agreement is an agreement within the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change and was negotiated by representatives of 196 state parties in Le Bourget, near Paris. Thus it's name. I doubt these are the demands of the French people.

There protests are very much initally a rich v poor debate, and has seen those from both the right and left stand together, if anything it's class warfare. It has been hijacked, none the less, but for a large part, these are farmers and workers from the regional centers whose costs of doing business has skyrocketed due to the increase in fuel prices, descending on Paris.

Seriously NATH45,? Of course I know what the Paris agreement is. Macron is one of Europe's most socialist leaders and the only way to achieve a reduction in emissions is to increase the cost of energy until it hurts. Macron has introduced this tax on gasoline, hence the riots.

This is only the beginning of what a low emission economy looks like.
