Swole should be great in NXT even if she is not entirely reliable from the Crohns, which you literally get no control over.

It is weird how when some black wrestlers are not met with acclaim they go right to race. Moreso when for a LONG TIME WWE had only one female wrestler fans thought was legit, and ECW had only one female wrestler that fans thought were legit in Jackie and Jazz.

When Kong appeared and mauled Daizee Haze people lost their minds.

Go to history and you have the legendary foursome of Ethel Johnson, Babs Wingo, Kathleen Wimbley, and Marva Scott who despite working in racist areas in the 1950's would tear the house down to standing ovations.

Fuck look at WWE, Sasha Banks and Bel Air are two of the most talented girls they got with huge fan followings. Ember Moon going to debut and be a HUGE star when she gets control of her gimmick and can get really dorky.

But AEW should bring in more black girls who will be happy to be there, starting with Holidead!!! Because she is just fucking awesome and we need the Twisted Sisterz in AEW.

It's very easy to pick apart individual cases and claim that there are alternate more valid reasons for criticism (ie. Jade is green, Red Velvet botches) but if you look across the board it is completely ingenuous to suggest that there is not a strong undercurrent of racism amongst wrestling fans. I don't blame Jade in the slightest for getting upset about it, I can't even imagine what it must be like for her to endure the torrent of "you look like a man!" shit on social media. Even someone like Sasha who you guys are putting up as someone beloved receives endless hate/"banter" about her hair, forehead, attitude.

Most flack Banks caught is her being an Anti-Vaxxer for a while, which fair or unfair, gets flack from people who have suffered losses from COVID etc. Most fans do like her but she also had a batshit crazy amount of fans on social media that go crazy over any kind of criticism. 

Tessa Blanchard and Charlotte have gotten nuclear heat(The former even made a shirt off it) and both are as white as the clouds. Eva Marie as well isn't far behind, she gets far worse treatment by fans than Cargill has ever. She got brought in again and fans already wanted her fired. People were actually happy and celebrating she got fired.

Anyone remember when Sexy Star pushed the idea that Rosemary accusing her of shooting was an attack on her by an American for being a Mexican wrestler wrestling a Mexican style?

I've got no doubt there's a number of trolls who pervade twitter and constantly hound the women with either disgusting racist posts or sexist remarks. I never really understood what was so awful about twitter until I started reading some of the replies...it's really bottom of the barrel stuff.

One issue is that for all the abuse they receive there really isn't an overwhelming amount of support. Talent like Bianca Belair and Sasha Banks are put into positions where they can shine so for every negative reaction there's probably 10 times the amount of support. Whereas somebody like a Naomi rarely gets that opportunity and the few times she's spoken about it's by Alvarez who does his shock jock shtick and gets called out on it.

When I think about Jade's time in AEW, I can't help but feel she's been mishandled. They brought her in and she had to deliver this awkward promo to set something up completely out of the blue against Cody - it didn't make a lot of sense and she's been this dominant heel ever since racking up wins and working the fans into believing she's the 'bitch' of AEW. I really don't think that's the best way to introduce a green talent and feel if the table was set up for her to knock down a Nyla Rose or even Ivelisse I think the tone would change.

Instead it just feels like she's been doing more of the same for awhile now. She's one of those talents who makes a strong first impression and is great for marketing but like the division in general it feels like she's spinning her wheels.

I feel like the division gets too much flack and for all the criticism TK did bring in Thunder Rosa and Serena Deeb when he could have easily abandoned ship so for that he deserves a ton of kudos. However after a slow start I do think the booking could have been better and they really needed to make up for lost time. I still don't know why we haven't had a Thunder Rosa/Britt Baker rematch, that should have been the first major PPV defence and if they wanted to protect Rosa they could have side-tracked her with Hayer or another talent and come back around to her.

Wow Ryu vs Emi on dark was really boring . Neither really brings anything special to the table.

So Brandi was on dark today, and the opening line to her new theme song is "jealousy is the sincerest form of flattery". She just feels so out of touch. Either she is confused about the type of go away heat she has and thinks people wishing she wasn't on tv was jealousy, or she is still tryna be a face and doesn't understand this isn't how you do it. I have so much trouble buying into this idea of Cody / Brandi being a long term meta heel build. 

Can't I just not see Brandi wrestling? Why do they keep trying to make fetch happen?

I question Brandi's understanding of wrestling fans & how things work in general. The way she presented herself while leading the nightmare collective was BAD. Not bad like oh, I tried something and it failed. BAD as in having no purpose & making no sense whatsoever. From the limited amount of things I've read about Brandi, she comes off as very egotistical, thin-skinned & defensive. She comes across as a delusional weirdo. She has barely wrestled or done anything of note. Yet, comes off as entitled.

Brandi is like when you give wrench while you are working on a car and telling them they are helping. No they really are not, but you do it to make them feel good about themselves. If she was not Cody's wife she would not have a job.

I read someone on reddit shitting on this match so I was curious. 

Marina's presentation, and reworked offense moves and style since leaving nxt was a breath of fresh air. She went to throw Kris into the corner, but instead of releasing she did a legs sweep, I don't think i'd seen that before. Shafir will be at bloodsport 7, I hope she gets work and keeps on improving. 

I really hope they push Sonny Kiss and allow her to beat Joey Janela tonight, they really need to make the Rossi/Kiss match happen. I WOULD push Kiss bigger than what AEW has done, this match was deserving of at the very least AEW Rampage but if they want to save Rossi vs Kiss for that, I get it.

I would throw Kiss to the moon and let her get Serena Deeb in a feud. Not saying for Kiss to win but I think Kiss' raw athletic abilities would mesh so well with how good Deeb can control and pace a match together.

Maybe, just maybe AEW might finally have a black babyface female talent in 2022.

Even if I tend to forget about her too they do have Red Velvet. Kiss is struggling to get on even Dark now so I don't have high hopes for Kiss's AEW future. Could easily see AEW not resigning either Kiss or Janela.

That was a hardcore match, holy shit Sonny Kiss is ridiculous. She should have won though, their insistence of having Janela consistently winning in this feud is garbage.

I dug the submission match. Ford held her own but Tay just overwhelmed her.

On a side note, man Allie/Bunny bled like crazy in this Bunny & Ford/TayJay street fight. Almost Britt Baker like. Hate seeing beautiful women bleeding like that Ugh :cry: Heard the tag team match was pretty good altogether, a lot of bumps that got taken by all four ladies. Sucks it gets lost in the sand in the midst of what's going on but important to point it out nevertheless.

Got around to watching the Penelope/Bunny vs TayJay street fight. That was a fun match, and props to those four for going all out. It was a little shorter than I expected based on what I'd read, but it was a fun match. I feel like Bunny has been slowly getting there in the last year, but I'm feeling she's back to her levels of where she was in impact.

Bunny looked great in that match. Amazing match from the girls. They really know how to step up when they need to. I find it wild when they let the girls do hardcore, they go for the deathmatch stuff.

It feels just the right amount of deathmatch style violence. It looks cool, but seems like the wrestlers arent gonna do something excessive light get a flurescent light bulb in their eye

This coming week; Wednesday on the TBS Dynamite Premier we get Ruby Soho vs Jade Cargill for the new belt. Could be an interesting match, Jade had her longest match ever last week against Thunder Rosa and looked good. Then saturday on Battle of the Belts we get Britt Baker vs Riho for the Womens World Title. I fully expect Riho to lose, but it should be a fun match

Maki Itoh just said she is coming Thunder Rosa. Will be on Maki time so likely after this wave of COVID settles.

Jade showed me a lot vs Thunder Rosa. Her selling was nearly flawless.

I hope Henry puts his influence to use and gives Jade the belt. Ruby I absolutely believe does not need a belt, let alone the second tier one that is made for people like Jade.

And yeah Jade looks really good in that match.  Not a fan of her, but she sold well and took some risks with some of those spots and nailed them so well, like the crossbody counter to backbreaker.  So many ways that could have went wrong, but was flawless looking.  Girl is clearly ready.  And let's face it, given the shit from the last week, Tony kind of needs to put her over here whether it was the plan or not.  

Be a fun storyline too if she takes the belt as he is undefeated.
