I think they tried to cram too much into the show. It was Jade's first title ever and a completely new title. She should have had a short how does it feel interview or atleast got a chance to celebrate or something. It was hey she won and on to the next segment.

"Hey, you won, moving on" is all that match deserved.

I’ll admit, I had never heard of her before Wednesday, but I immediately became a fan. She’s got a good look and can go in the ring. Nice for the women’s division to finally have a high flyer.

Big fan of hers and am really glad she shined. She needs polish but she trained with Booker then did a NXT stint. Very promising star. Was really hoping Tony would pick her up when I saw NXT released her.  Her matches for Booker would go 15 to 20 usually, so she can work.  She just needs more time in the ring to get smoother.  

Jade should keep that look for a while.

I'm lukewarm on  Leyla Hirsch. Good wrestler. However, I don't buy into her character at all. UNLESS it's just a spoiled brat. The kind that looks for flaws in friends to tell them oh yeah! you don't like me? well, I never liked you in the first place anyway! yeah, Kris Statlander was hash at the moment saying she was abandoned but it turns out they may have had a good reason to. In kayfabe, she always looks angry for no reason. Maybe she has a chip on her shoulder.  I just don't find her as believable as she should be, given the character she portraying.

Some serious accusations of Thunder Rosa sandbagging/not cooperating with Marina Shafir in the match last Wednesday, potentially to try and sabotage her. Really fucked up stuff.

I will say Britt Baker seems like the type of person who will snitch on you behind your back, seems like a very good politician backstage. Like Randle from Recess sort of bad. I know she was pretty much liking everything Tony Khan had to say on Big Swole. 

She might be one of the very few to have Tony's ear, I imagine she didn't like losing the belt to Thunder Rosa I guess. 

Frankly, I am shocked in era of twitter and post Brock Lesner people even sandbag anymore. You do it you will get called out for all it at best, and possibly severely hurt if the move botches.

Rosa has some MMA background to her, not many are gonna do that to one of Rousey's Judo buddies. Shafir even picked Thunder against her will in the clips I posted . 

Shafir is probably up there as far as women in the division who can actually fight/scrap. Shafir bailed on CYN, someone should tell Thunder Rosa that. :suspic: I guess maybe it's her relationship with Rousey...maybe. 

I mean I just do not get the mentality at all. If you do not want to do the move do not do it. By sandbagging it you just end up taking a bad bump. It is just so silly. You basically just fuck yourself over and make your match look like crap.

Not sure she did that on purpose. Think that part of Marina being green. Marina lifted before Rosa jumped and Marina used just enough power to use Rosa momentum to get her up so the first one failed. Marina instead of moving on or trying to cooperate again just straight powered Rosa over. So probably a case of poor chesmisty.

The suplex looked weird and it's hard to tell if Rosa sandbagged or if their timing was off. The first attempt looks like the timing was off but the second one looks like Rosa just didn't jump. Maybe Maria was holding her head/neck too tight and Rosa was pissed off? Hard to say. Not a good look either way so I'll concede that one.

The second one just looks like a judo throw gone wrong. Rosa didn't flip when she should have. She bumped and sold it so I can't call that sandbagging, she just didn't know what Maria was trying to do.

There was another move in question but I can't remember what it was. I saw it in another clip. I think it was the triangle choke after the match. Maria didn't lock it in right and Rosa just laid down and sold it like she was passed out because she didn't know what was going on.

I think there's heat between Britt and Rosa and I'm curious why. Aside from that suplex (that was very questionable), there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with the match other than miscommunication and Maria being green. Britt liking that tweet is really strange. Either Britt has a problem with Rosa and is adding fuel to the fire or she's an idiot and doesn't know what sandbagging looks like.

Sonny Kiss woke up today seeking violence, was not having AEWONTV mocking her by having someone else be apart of the group that she, the members of the group and fans have all been advocating for. Dirty as hell to do that to Sonny during pride month too. The fact that this blew up shows you that there's a likability factor for Sonny Kiss and that there is a fanbase who want to see her go on TV. 

Sonny was on Busted Open I think last week. It is kind of said how badly they treat her in AEW. Most people want to be a champion Sonny just wants a storyline.

Last time she was on TV was jobbing to Kenny Omega in like 20 seconds like 1 1/2 years ago, it's embarrassing. Kiss has been as good of a spokesperson for AEW, I don't think it's asking much to have her be the 4th baddie and as a side valet to Cargill. 

Still think she's the best promo of the household but man she's letting Roderick Strong catch up big time.

I don’t understand why people are complaining. The women’s division continues to grow and Saraya showing up was an incredible moment last night.

Ruby Soho was clearly brought in to put over existing talent and work with some less experienced women on the roster. Also she’s been hurt a couple times and is taking time off to get surgery on her nose/septum.

Athena took so long to sign that when she finally did her debut flopped. And she’s had a decent run of matches lately.

They need to give the women’s division more time and more interesting angles, sure, but that’s a different complaint entirely.
