These internet loudmouths need to be put in their place once in awhile, but it's still not good business. The appropriate response would be to go out there and kill it but the situation got the better of her. To me the implication is that every Pro Wrestling lives in their mother's basement, or at least the ones who voice their displeasure of a match. I'm sure that stat is over-represented but still you're insulting your customers.

Aaron posted where it all started but to give context, most wrestlers loathe JDFromNY. He is pretty much viewed as the shock jock of wrestling. He's really balanced on the fine line in many instances but this one really got him in deep shit.

This one got him absolute nuclear heat within the WWE locker room. He has had beef with Zelina Vega, Charlotte Flair, Alexa Bliss so this isn't just an AEW thing. Baron Corbin routinely mocks him every now and then and he has also been kicked out of NXT back when they were in the performance center IIRC. 

What a piece of trash that guy is.

Good to see Sonny Kiss is still with us, I thought she was in witness protection for a moment.

They are pretty active this month doing matches all over it seems, faught Bandit last month too. Not sure why Tony is not using her on Dark or Elevation with Trustbusters.

Edit:  Looks like they appeared on dark this week.

Poor Sonny, seemed like they were going to actually do something with her by pairing her up with the Truthbusters on Rampage and then is barely seen or heard of on television for months afterwards.

It still sucks that the blowoff to the Janela feud (which I enjoyed overall) was stuck on Dark.

I think Kiss is really one of the people who suffered from the big influx of WWE castoffs. She's got an appealing wrestling style, a great look and seems very likeable, so it's a shame she faded into the background so quickly.

What does Kiss in is that she isn't vocal enough or isn't trying to be a jerk about how AEW is not using her. She's a good soldier and is getting punished because of that. There's clearly talent there, not the cup of tea for everyone but she proved she can give you a respectable serge of ratings. AEW Rampage when Kiss was promoted did one of the best pulls in the demo ever.

It's almost out of spite that she is neglected.

For Kiss may be legal issues involved. Not all states, cities or venues allow intergender matches, and states that regulate pro-wrestling as a sport have weird laws as well in regards to trans people. Which makes things really funky for Kiss. He wrestles as a woman against a man, that hits intergender ban, she wrestlers as a woman against a woman that hits anti-trans sports bans. He wrestles as a man against a man can also come under intergender bans since they are transfemme.

Legally it is fucking mess in many areas. After big intergender matches venues get buried with complaints and rage for allowing domestic violence as entertainment, and laws that fuck with trans people in sports applies to all sports generally, including fakes ones.

Then who knows what the network wants in regards to this.

Seems like she doesn't have that much trouble working outside of AEW. I'd say the more plausible theory is that TK simply doesn't have any plans.

She does not wrestling in many places AEW has been running though, and mostly been in Canada of late. Also a lot of the trans laws can into effect in the past two years.

Tony likely does not have plans too, but this is something that makes booking a little complicated sometimes. I know Vince got hit with a $2000 fine in Maryland when he wrestled Steph for doing an intergender match. Being Vince they would not threaten him, but smaller feds when they run afoul of the athletic commissions can get barred from the state, as CZW did in several states for the glass matches.

And like I said, who knows with the network shows.  People be fucking crazy about trans shit and love to call and try to speak the manager.

It is all REALLY stupid given wrestling is a FAKE sport, and should not be governed by sports groups, or even be involved in this trans shit since it is not fucking real, but here we are in this bizarro world.

I loathe Jelly but I felt horrible for Sonny. That rivalry should have taken place on Rampage. No excuses.

I agree with this which is why I never understood why they refuse to let Kiss wrestle other women. She changes in the same locker room as the others. 

Why does Nyla Rose get beneficial treatment but Sonny does not? Sonny can fucking go man, I saw a very brief amount of her on Lucha Underground. Legit charisma. 

Yeah I think the gender fluid thing is throwing people for a loop since they do not really know how to book Kiss without opening the intergender door really.

That one promo she did with Joey was amazing, but sadly AEW never went anywhere with it.

And Rose really is not faring much better. Seems like two or three times a year they drag her out for a short program, then banish her back to Dark.

Really wish Kiss became a baddie instead. And I don't think the network has any issue with Kiss and probably asked her for the segment during pride month. Tony cares so much about ratings that he probably keeps her off tv because the negative comments some AEW fans make. It could also be Kiss lack support from the major factions who fight for tv time.

I mean, they love these people during Pride month, but most networks it seems would prefer not to see them the other 11 months.
