Does Vickie Guerrero do some kind of backstage work for AEW? Like is she the accountant or the fire warden or something?

She's been doing this heel manager routine for 16 years now and I can't believe there's anyone on the whole planet who's still interested in it. Surely they must be keeping around around for something else.

Japanese independant veteran who has 20 years experience. His relationship with Shida goes back to their ChocoPro days where they've teamed in the past. Clearly Shida is pulling strings for an old friend.

I only started the ChocoPro thread in hopes you'd explain what was going on with Mei Suruga and why she was dancing around in a Sombrero and had a 40-something year old man impersonating her.

You could be right! Maybe Emi Sakura forced it on her because Shida keeps doing those crazy Makai matches in Japan? I still can't believe Emperor's matches with weapons gimmick got over...all we need is a decapitation and we'll know who's behind it.

Jade has been champion for over a year now, but does anyone really care anymore?

The fans enjoy Jade well enough and the title serves it's purpose to prop her up while giving the rest of the division enough of a spotlight to get over. Her recent match against Red Velvet was one of her better outings, they just need to keep finding her more challengers.

The question will be once she does drop it, what do you do with the title then? It's basically the FTW Championship, but for Jade to defend. With the ROH Women's Championship it's difficult to book three worthwhile matches consistently.

My call - Willow Nightingale beats Jade.

Or just have Shida beat everyone and unify all the titles - All Atlantic, AEW Championship, 6 Man Tag - get it all done.

I think they're waiting for Kris Statlander to come back.  Then Stat can be the one to beat Jade for the title, allowing for Jade to move up to World Championship contention, while Stat can have a run as TBS Champ.

Could be sooner than later.  Maybe Revolution time.

Yeah and Stat's injury hasn't helped matters as they've had to scramble for ideas. On top of that you had the injury to Red Velvet and Stokely being taken away for a Punk/MJF storyline that never materialised so her arc has been aimless.

Also I did mean Skye Blue earlier. That clip of the finish was everywhere on social media and it just reminded everyone how athletic she is.

Jade Cargill is now the longest-reigning champion in AEW history. Her TBS title reign has hit 373 days, surpassing Hikaru Shida’s Women’s championship run of 372 days.

Some interesting news came out from Jade in an interview. Danielson took over her coaching. Prior to that Punk was coaching her. Def a step up for her.

Add Jade to the list of Punk fans as well.

Seems like the locker room was quite different from the one Dave painted in the Observer.

Jade Cargill was Team Cody until The Elite sort of pushed him aside so it's natural she'd join Punk for that.

1st major program was with Brandi & Cody so she's sort of grateful for that to them. 

Sorry will get back on track. Well in that Jade interview she did address the Bow Wow feud I was asking about. She felt he wasn't really into it in the video he sent them and the story wasn't well thought out so they just moved on from it.

Yeah, she wants to fight guys, but Bow Wow was not like were to go with that. Glad they silently killed that, would not have really helped her.

If Jade wants to fight dudes then she needs to lose to a woman first. No way Jade fights a guy and loses and I would rather her 50-0 eventually happens in the women’s division and whoever finally beats her gets a huge rub.

Saryara's time in AEW has been a huge letdown. The green spray paint & the loser/mean girl's disposition comes off as so uncreative & cringe. I loved when the doctah was the champion because she would mock her challengers with the confines of their character & and personal shortcomings.

My biggest issue with Britt Baker is her becoming Jamie Hayter's lackey.

I'm sorry but with how egotistical she was as champion, I find it hard to believe she wouldn't have turned on Hayter once she won the title.

Oh she is so turning on Hayter down time, it is so obvious. But for now, she is happy being part of the champion.

It seemed the obvious thing but now I'm believing that Britt simply wants the best for her friends and is happy to put her ego aside. She brought Jamie in, and even when Jaime was her lackey there was a lot of mutual respect.

Also Britt needs to be away from the title for now, and this is a good way to do it.

Ever since Rosa got hurt the division has been a shit show in terms of the champions. Sucks Jamie is hurt. I'm glad KS is the TBS champ.

Hirsch is hurt, Shafir on Rampage and Cargill away.  Serena is an unknown but reported she is not backstage either and could be on a release trajectory.

Ah she came back a few weeks ago. RoH is a good spot for her too.
