Doesn't seem true. Her and Alexa are close friends in real life so them being team up again shouldn't make her upset enough to leave. But with Asuka coming she knows she may not hold the title for a while if ever.

If she walked out, that seems lame and I want to make some sort of comment about being a millenial and not being willing to put in her dues.

If she was granted a leave, then we should all just calm down.

I think she is one the more improved wrestlers on the roster. Whatever issues there are I hope they get resolved sooner rather than later and she is back on Raw adding a much needed different aspect to the Raw womens division.

Nia Jax’s Leave of Absence Reportedly Connected to Unhappiness in WWE



As noted, WWE Raw star has been granted a leave of absence from WWE, but did not walk out on the company as previously rumored.



According to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated, the trend of WWE stars voicing unhappiness with the company is seeming to continue with Nia Jax, as Barrasso noted her leave of absence is due to her current creative direction and pay scale.

The SI report adds Jax has more leverage in WWE than fans might think, as she is cousins with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, and that could put her in a negotiating position different from other WWE stars.



Nia Jax joins a growing list of WWE superstars who are considering leaving the company due to unhappiness, or have already left, like Neville, Cody Rhodes and Austin Aries. As we noted earlier tonight, Dave Meltzer confirmed on Twitter that Neville is not the only WWE star considering leaving, favoring the current independent wrestling scene.

If this is all true, this stuff with Nia being unhappy and Neville walking out, if they pony up and give Nia Jax top dollar, and let Neville, one of the best performers in the world, walk, this company is ridiculous.


Also, what the heck is Nia so unhappy about? She's not some top star or anything. She should be happy with what she's got, and wait for her moment, it's not like she's being misused or anything. She's pushed pretty freaking strong.

There's been so many different reports about this it's impossible to tell what is really behind this. PWInsider is speculating that Sasha was originally going to face Nia at TLC before they changed it to Alicia, so maybe Nia saw Alicia's chatter about being upset with her position and thought she'd do the same.

I don't think anyone would lose too much sleep if she didn't return, but her performance at No Mercy was the best of her career so from that perspective it would be a bit of a shame.

I'm wondering what she expects. She's still not champion material. But she's getting major TV time and ppv matches.

That's why I'd be inclined to believe the pay issue part of the reports. Maybe she's found out what some of the others are making and thinks that because she's a PPV regular and has been added to TD she should be getting more.

If she's not being paid accordingly then that's understandable. I can even understand if she is frustrated by the lack of direction and storylines for the women (mostly on RAW), but if it's because she isn't holding the Championship yet then she should STFU. She was called up earlier than she should have been and booked strongly compared to other women on the roster. Then again maybe she's making the stand for them all because she has the leverage to do so. Hard to say.

As noted, WWE Raw star Nia Jax is currently not on the road with WWE, and reports earlier this week indicated that Jax had been granted a leave of absence from the company.

Fellow WWE Raw star Alexa Bliss recently spoke with the New York Post, and clarified Jax’s WWE status, saying, “whatever she is going through, I wouldn’t necessarily call it a leave of absence. She’s taking some time off because our schedule it very grueling. It’s very, very demanding. There are times where you are run down and your body can’t do it anymore and you get sick or you get injured from it and you get tired.


“So, I feel like everyone needs a reset every once in a while. In NXT I took a few resets and it was never like public knowledge, but we all need them. We all take them once in a while. I am happy when she comes back. I feel like everyone needs that refresher week or refresher moment.”

As we reported yesterday, Sports Illustrated published an article on Nia Jax stepping away from WWE, and attributed the time off to the hectic WWE schedule, her current pay scale, and the creative direction of her on-screen character.


F4WOnline.com furthered today that WWE is not calling Jax’s time off a “leave of absence”, and when asked when she will be back with the company, they asserted “she never left”. As of now, Jax is still booked for WWE’s upcoming European tour, and it remains to be seen if she makes the trip.

Problem with Nia was that she called up from NXT way to premature. She was still growing her in ring skills yet they threw her on Raw and then had her lose every match that really counted while still trying to portray her as an unstoppable monster. You can't have it both ways. She's either an unstoppable monster who steam rolls opponents or she's just the big show or kane of the womens division who WWE tells us is an unstoppable monster but is ALWAYS thwarted in the end.

I wouldn't mind seeing her leave. Sharpen up her in ring skills and bring her back in a year from now and really do the unbeatable monster gimmick.

Well we did endure years of the diva search and random "models" being hired. This is nothing new.

Once upon a time, all the women had to do was yank each other's hair, tear off their clothes and spank their arse. Times have changed and the company needs to be smarter about this sort of thing. Jax has worked 120 matches this year, and when you factor in age, body etc. they need to be smart.

Only Sasha, Charlotte and Alexa have worked more matches than her, which just goes to show the ethic stars have today.

Hopefully someone who isn't a multi-millionaire movie star told her to pull her head in, and get back to work.

Nia's return was quite good. I was actually chuckling a little bit when the crowd was just cheering on her as she pretty much squished Bayley during the match. It wasn't a squash, but I didn't feel sorry too much for Bayley getting squished. Now if only Sasha can get squished.
