Moxley's Keller's shoot while it is up. Bit better than Jericho's as now the basics are out he can expand to more in detail. Keller got him for a longer time too. Part 2 comes up this weekend.

"We make movies"
And they seem to want actors, not wrestlers. Fitting.

That is my takeaway too and it explains so much. Why do we get big guys who can only do one match? Because Vince likes that one match and the look and ignores everything else. What I am curious about is will the next Moxley or Punk skip WWE entirely? Joey Ryan, The Villain, The Bucks, Omega, Page and others all turned down WWE and the strength of all these guys are their promos. Of course this will just now feed back into WWE saying they need writers because no one can cut a promo...
I loved that Moxley stressed that the promos were the job of wrestlers and if they cannot promo they are just not good wrestlers. Those are major shots fired, but ones that need to be said. DB was awful at promos for a long time but he worked at it and now is amazing.

Second half of the Moxley interview with Wade. More on the Brock match and why he even got it and why it failed.

It's a really good interview.
So ... Mox has to beat Juice for the U.S. Title in NJPW, right? He can't really lose his first match outside WWE ... can he?

Apparently the NJPW deal was made before his AEW deal, and his AEW contract allows him to work NJPW dates.
I think it's very likely he takes the title. Gedo won't be able to help himself but put that title on Dean fucking Ambrose.

I've been listening to Moxley's podcasts today, first Talk Is Jericho, and then an hour of his Wade Keller interview. These conversations have made me more of a fan of Moxley then I ever was before (i.e. not a fan at all). His passion for the business oozes through every word, every breath that comes from his body. He's a very smart guy who's in touch with professional wrestling, his own mind, and his own creativity. Now I really, really wish I liked watching the guy in the ring. Up to this point, I haven't, but I really want Moxley to change my mind on him. Dude has an awesome personality.
I also think about the potential implications of Moxley completely outing WWE's creative process. No doubt many WWE employees have heard his words. Do you guys think there will be some fallout, or will it be business as usual in WWE?

As long as Vince breathes it will be (dis) business as usual.

Was the Wade Keller interview on a podcast? I only found Youtube links and I'd rather listen on my way to and from work if I can.

The ads are brutal, but it's worth grabbing the two episodes if you can. His ideas for the Brock match were so damn good. I mean, so damn good.

The ads are brutal. Make sure you start it at 10 minutes in. It's like TV breaks. Literally every 7-8 minutes, a new set of ads. Fuck you, Home Depot.

The ad breaks are frequent but they aren't 3-4 minutes long like those on TIJ or other podcasts.

Ads at the start of a podcast don't bother me because I know to just skip ahead. Like every time I listen to Joe Rogan I know I'm starting at like the 7 minute mark every time.
Or like Bill Burr how he always does ads at the halfway mark and tries to make them funny, or you know to just skip a few minutes ahead.
But Jericho's podcast, my god. I hadn't listened to an episode in a while before the Moxley interview and it was hilarious. I love how all of a sudden the audio gets way clearer and he's like "I'd love to continue talking to you about that, especially over some Omaha steaks.."

Jericho's ad transitions are pretty smooth, relatively speaking. Wade Keller's ads really caught me off guard, to the point where I thought I accidentally hit the "next track" button the first time it happened. A millisecond after Ambrose finishes a sentence, go to ad.

I kinda love the those podcastone era ads Jericho does. Dude tries so hard to sound genuine when he's talking about whatever product, as if I believe a word he's saying.

The ads on Keller's podcast were way worse than Jericho's.
My goodness, if they'd given us Mox's version of his match vs Lesnar, that could have been incredible.

Nah man he totally uses that amazing toothbrush after eating his Ohama steaks and keeping the bugs away with that (amazing product here)

So I've listened to Part 1 and holy fuck, Wade Keller is terrible at ads. Like, I was even fast forwarding and I was still getting annoyed. There were at least 3 or 4 times during that first 10 minutes where I'd hear him say something like "here we go!" or "Now let's get to the interview" so I'd stop fast forwarding, then he'd go "and, but also, and if you, but also if you, uh, if you are a VIP subscriber, then you don't have to-" then I'd be fast forwarding again like "holy fuck dude just shut up already."
At least he's a good interviewer. Part 1 was pretty good so far but nothing we didn't hear during Jericho's podcast. I did enjoy him talking about how easy promos are with AEW though, and how in 10 minutes he did more for his character than in six months in the WWE. That put a smile on my face. Every time Moxley talks now it's like vindication for the fans that are just fed up with WWE.

One of the main points of the interview was not to cover the topics that he talked about with Jericho, or at least to elaborate on the topics he merely glossed over in TIJ. There was little to no overlap from my point of view. I'm almost done with Part 2 now. Gets a little boring near the end, but he goes into detail about his angle with Brock Lesnar and the Steve Austin podcast.

I can’t think of anything from part 1 that wasn’t covered on Jericho’s podcast. Keller even mentions Jericho’s name like a dozen times. They expanded on stuff sure, like I mentioned with the promos, but it was pretty boring. Part 2 is far better. The whole Lesnar thing has me so pissed. The censors couldn’t even keep up with how often Moxley was swearing and I was right there with him. Such a missed opportunity.

Listening to the Jericho podcast, haven’t hear “Sick” Nick Mondo’s name in a long time 😮 He did the Austin podcast when his movie can out. He did a few interviews this week about the videos. Best news was Nick is totally down to working AEW and other feds in the future. Funniest thing to come out of Nick's interview is the dice numbers being the date of double or nothing was not planned.
