Despite her meteoric rise in CHIKARA, Kimber after one very weird CHIKARA storyline and complete failure to launch in NXT, as well as an apparent decline in ring, it was obvious something was up.  Well, she posted this today on her Instagram:

Explains the weird CHIKARA story about secrets that can end careers, the failure to launch in NXT, and why she looked so different in the ring in NXT and after.   Freaking heartbreaking to hear that this is why she blew her shot.  I hope this means we will get our Princess back soon.

I hope Kim gets the help she needs to become the performer and more importantly the person she wants to be. This kind of vulnerability makes me an even bigger fan of hers.

Life before wrestling.

If her going sober is what put a halt to her career, then so be it. God bless her and I hope she succeeds with this inner battle. Because that coin she's holding means more then a wrestling belt in any company.

That first sentence kills me. HATED that line from Punk/HHH. But good on her I suppose. I really thought she looked like a star in the MYC, so it was tragic to see her released. Hope she makes it back again.

Kimber's work in CHIKARA was insane. She was their top star for a while and took on the biggest names in the company as champion. She definitely had what it takes.

Getting sober is not what halted her career but the drinking was. Two months means she was already fired before she got sober. Hope WWE gives her a second chance some day, but that cannot really be expected given how badly she did blow her one chance. I just hope she stays clean and we get our princess back at 100 percent. Princess Kimberlee is an amazing freaking gimmick and she definitely can make a living without WWE. Once she is back to 100 percent, I expect her in AEW, hopefully with the Princess gimmick.

The piledriver spot was so fucking sick. Insane how correct Quack proved when he flagged Lovelace as a future superstar. I think he saw her potential before anyone else did when he launched her from no one to this in what 18 months?

c, Ruby was groomed to big a star in AAW winning their mid-card title, she was over in Chicago. Lovelace always wanted to work in Chikara. Being a fan of Kimber and Heidi in combination with Quack's alleged accouters with certain women's wrestlers had me wondering how their Chikara tenures would shape out but they each hit home runs.

Not familiar the Chicago scene, but when she came into Chikara she was virtually unknown outside of the Chicago. If you remember she did the one off for TTGP, then when she debuted she was pushed right into the Young Lions Cup. Was one of the facest ascensions CHIKARA has done.
