Surviving a great Lowry game , which is rare these days and a terrible Middleton game on our end is huge. Have to win these types of games.

First half reminded me a lot of game one against Boston. Came out flat and almost scared - but relaxed as the game went along.

Brook has had a subpar playoffs but he’s been really good all year , especially on the defensive side. I’m happy this is the game he showed up for.

Relaxing makes sense but I get it , it's a game that Toronto should have won - the Bucks played their second worst half of the playoffs and Toronto didn't put them away and steal a game on the road - something you have to do against great teams in the playoffs. You can't just give away wins.

I will say this - it seemed like the Sixers series started to show it's effects in the second half. Toronto seemed flat and tired and even Reggie Miller made the comment that Kawhi's jumper seemed flat and he seemed fatigued. Makes sense when you look at the numbers and the fact that Kawhi only had 2 points in the 4th quarter. I thought that was going to be a factor in this series and in game one it looked like it was going to affect the Raptors.

Also doesn't help that Toronto effectively only has 7 players that can give them quality minutes. Their starters were still playing into the 40 minute marks where as Milwaukee still played 9 guys in it's rotation and most only played in the mid 30's. All is going to be important as this series goes along. It's going to end up in a rant from me towards Coach Bud because he needs to stop worrying about playing Giannis too many minutes - this is what you save his legs for all season and in these close games he needs to be out there.

I'd expect Lopez to have an off game 2 , but Middleton should be back. He had a terrible game offensively.

Yeah I knew something was up when the Bucks were roaring back and about to take the lead and Kawhi was on the bench. I didn't realize at the time he only had 2 points though. Yeesh.

They just collapsed. Nothing was going in and they were making silly plays on offense. Pretty much dominated the Bucks for 3 quarters and then that 3 at the buzzer from Siakam. I thought the game was over, then they just didn't come back out of the locker room for the 4th.

BLAH. Oh well. If they play like that every game and actually play a full 4 quarters they'll win the series, so I'm optimistic.

To be fair , the Bucks were missing open shots too and Middleton is our most consistent and 2nd best player from the outside so it’s not all what the Raptors were doing. They deserve credit but the Bucks were clearly shaking off some nerves.

The Blazers are currently ahead in the 1st quarter but it’s just not going to happen. Honestly, props to the NBA marketing team because they make you watch this shit meanwhile you know damn well nobody is beating the Warriors.

This is why I was disappointed after game 1. You’re not going to get chances like that against the Bucks. And this game is proof why. They’re smothering Toronto. I watched some of the series with Boston and they were just on another level. There’s a reason why they’ve only lost 1 game so far.
