No thread for it so figured i would do it.  This weekend in a match vs Juventud Guerrera, finish of the match came Juvi pinned King and King did not get up.  Believed he died of a heart attack during the finish.  Juvi and ref did not know anything was up until he was unresponsive after the match.  Video is quite harrowing.  

Wow. I just watched the video and it's really fucking unbelievable how poorly that was handled. For someone like Juventud who has been in the business for years to not realize that something was off when his opponent wasn't allowing him to roll him over is ridiculous. The referee holding his hand in the air for a 2 count and then proceeding to ignore the guy on the mat is ridiculous. It's honestly shameful to watch and they should all be ashamed of themselves. They proceed to celebrate a victory by raising hands and flags after that. The fact that nobody in the promotion realized something was off or wrong is crazy. What a disgusting display of humanity.

It really makes the wwe refs look great. The ref is in charge of the safety of the wrestlers, and this guy failed big time.

WWE refs are trained very different since they have ear pieces. Most refs are not trained but told to just do what they do on TV basically or are wrestlers winging it.

It's not about what you are trained to do as a ref. It's a human thing. Juventud is more to blame then the referee, IMO since he has decades of experience in this shit. Did he think Silver King was fucking with him? Makes zero sense. It is all a horribly managed situation.

Shit just watched a cleaned up version of the video. This is all bad. King gives Juvi the iggy then Juvi kicks him and that is when King is out. Juvi tells the ref clearly and the ref checks and asks for an iggy or any sign but King gives none. They both knew he was REALLY fucked up and spent a few minutes finishing the match while he was dying.
