WWE Championship Match: Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Hulk Hogan
This is without a doubt the biggest dream match in WWE history. It is a battle of generational hero’s with different ideologies. The two biggest draws in wrestling history. This is Muhammad Ali vs Mike Tyson. This is the 80’s vs the 90’s. This is about saying your prayers and eating your vitamins vs giving everyone the middle finger and cracking open a beer. The debate about who is the biggest name in pro wrestling history will be settled when Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Immortal Hulk Hogan square off for the first and only time.
John Cena vs Roman Reigns
After a shocking brutal verbal assault on the fans, Roman Reigns took a turn to the dark side. He gave the fans a piece of his mind after years of their rejection. John Cena decided he had heard enough of Roman’s attacks and confronted the Big Dog. John Cena says he rose above the hate and never wavered in his beliefs while Roman Reigns cracked under all the hatred. John Cena considers Roman to be weak minded because of this and questions if his beliefs were ever genuine. Roman takes these questions over his character personally and issues a challenge to Cena to shut him up.
Hell in a Cell: Braun Strowman vs Vader
Two of the biggest monsters in WWE history square off in the most dangerous structure ever assembled. This feud began when the two monsters crossed paths and fought all over the arena. This continued for several weeks leaving staff, equipment, and vehicles damaged in their path of destruction. It was determined the only way to contain these two to settle their difference is to put them inside Hell in a Cell! They will have total freedom to unleash their aggression and anger upon each other until one man can’t withstand the pain any longer.
New Day vs Rock N Roll Express
Xavier Woods is missing so Big E and Kofi decide to use their time machine to travel back in wrestling history to find him. Their journey through history takes them to the 80’s and Jim Crocket Promotions. As they search for their missing friend, they run into the Rock N Roll Express. They say they will tell the New Day where their friend is if they can beat them in a tag team match.
Andre the Giant vs Bruno Sammartino
Two of the biggest attractions in WWE history collide for the first time ever. Can Bruno defy the odds and slam Andre? Can Andre defeat one of the most dominant athletes of all time? If you are a fan of good old school wrasslin’, this is the dream match for you!
Texas Bull Rope Match: JBL vs Stan Hansen
Stan Hansen represents the hard-working blue-collar middle class who isn’t afraid to get their hands dirty. JBL represents the wealthy, suit wearing, big city business class who pay to get things handled. Stan Hansen feels JBL is disgracing all true cowboys when he wears that cowboy hat and challenges him to a fight. JBL has run away from every confrontation with Stan and refuses to fight him. JBL finally has enough and attacks Stan Hansen after one of his matches with a bull rope. He leaves Stan Hansen in a bloody mess and challenges him to a Texas Bull Rope match to determine who the true cowboy is.
League of Nations (Sheamus, Rusev, & Wade Barrett) vs The Nation of Domination
(Ron Simmons, Mark Henry, & D-Lo Brown)
GANG WARFARE! The WWE Universe isn’t big enough for both these factions to rule over. Both groups are built with a similar selfish goal in mind but as long as they are both in the WWE Universe, neither group can achieve what they feel is their destiny: ultimate power. The power struggle that has developed over time will finally end when the League of Nations take on The Nation of Domination and the loser must disband forever!

Night #1
Wrestlefest Grand Championship
Shinsuke Nakamura (c) vs. CM Punk
A match decades in the making is finally taking place this Sunday when "The Best in the World" CM Punk steps into the ring with "The King of Strong Style" Shinksuke Nakamura.
The match that will be the talk of the wrestling world for years to come has finally arrived. Since its inception in 2010, Wrestlefest has been host to some of the greatest match-ups ever, but perhaps none as great as this one.
When Wrestlefest was created it seemed a foregone conclusion that two of the hottest rising stars in their respective corners of the world would main event the first show, but it didn't happen. Then 2012 seemed like the perfect year, with CM Punk in the middle of his long reign as WWE Champion and Nakamura making the IWGP Intercontinental Championship the hottest title on the planet, but it wasn't meant to be. Then CM Punk battled injury, Nakamura started his career in North America and couldn't make dates, and before the match could happen Punk retired from wrestling to pursue a career in UFC.
But now, after 9 long years of waiting, it's finally happening. CM Punk has returned to the ring and Shinsuka Nakamura is in the best shape of his life, having ended last year's Wrestlefest as the Grand Champion. He could only think of one opponent worthy of defending his title against in 2019, and we're all lucky enough to be here to see it.
Winner gets a Grand Championship title shot on Night #2
Seth Rollins vs. Adam Cole
Why stop at one dream match when you can have two? And these guys aren't taking the long way to get there. Seth Rollins and Adam Cole have been at each other's throats for months, both with a chip on their shoulder and something to prove. Rollins wants to show the world that he isn't just a pet project and that he belongs on top, and he's going to have to beat the hottest rising star on the planet to do it.Both of these men would greatly benefit from ending Wrestlefest as the 2019 Grand Champion, which would guarantee them a main event spot in 2020 and a one-way ticket to stardom. Will the New York fans be shouting "BURN IT DOWN!" or "ADAM COLE, BAYBAY!" when it's all said and done?
Wrestlefest Women's Championship - Submission Match
Becky Lynch (c) vs. Shayna Baszler
The Women's Championship is going to be decided in a submission match and it's a battle that could easily steal this stacked show, maybe even the whole Wrestlefest event."The Man" Becky Lynch brings her Women's Championship to the 2019 event with nothing left to prove. The past calendar year has been the greatest in her career and maybe any woman in wrestling history. A broken face and an iconic moment led to Becky's rise to fame, and The Man took that and ran with it, paving the road for the first ever women's main event in Wrestlemania history, which she won.
But meanwhile, Shayna Baszler has been stewing in the shadows, running NXT and tapping out every single person she crosses paths with. Baszler is done with being ignored and feels that she deserves to be in the spotlight, not "a watered down, redhead version" of her.
Always rising to the challenge, Becky tried to one-up Baszler and suggested a submission match for the title, which Baszler happily accepted. It's #BeckyTwoBelts vs The NXT Women's Champion, it's The Dis-arm-her vs The Ace of Spades, and it's going to be mayhem.
Winner gets a Women's Championship title shot on Night #2
Asuka vs. Rhea Ripley
The Empress of Tomorrow can't help but think of yesterday, or last year for that matter. Asuka, who walked into Wrestlefest 2018 as the Women's Champion, left empty-handed thanks to Becky Lynch. And her year hasn't gotten any better.Asuka dominated women's wrestling leading into Wrestlefest 2018, but after leaving on a loss she saw one of the most disappointing years in her career. After making history in NXT, Asuka hasn't clicked on the WWE roster and has been bounced around and mishandled. She suffered her first loss, then another, then another, and now directionless and down on herself, Asuka looks to rebound and take control again, and get back the Wrestlefest Women's Championship.
But standing in her way is the first ever NXTUK Women's Champion and on of the brightest stars in women's wrestling today, Rhea Ripley. While Asuka was on a downturn, Ripley was on her way up, crushing opponents left and right and showing the world that she's the next big thing in women's wrestling.
Can Asuka start her road to redemption? Or will Rhea Ripley prove that Asuka's peak is already behind her?
Cage Match
Kane w/Bray Wyatt vs. Tomohiro Ishii
In the months leading up to Wrestlefest, Bray Wyatt has been promising to "unleash hell" upon the entire world. Nobody really knew what the leader of the occult was implying, or if he was just rambling nonsense again as he tends to do from time to time. But after Tomohiro Ishii stepped up and volunteered to be the one that would permanently shut Bray Wyatt's mouth, it was revealed that Wyatt didn't intend to fight, but that he would be "sending his inner demon" to do battle on his behalf. Ishii, unphased, told Bray Wyatt in not so many words that he didn't care who got in the ring with him, the Stone Pitbull was going to trap them in a cage and make them beg for their life.
Wyatt then showed up at Wrestlecon last weekend totally unannounced, interrupting Ishii's panel. The lights in the massive theatre flickered on and off, then went out for good as Wyatt's cackle was heard over the buzz of the crowd. Phones and lights popped up all over the room and eventually Wyatt was spotted centre stage, waving his lantern about while blabbering nonsense, almost like he was speaking in tongues.
Then his lantern changed, turning a fiery red colour. Wyatt then swung it towards the ground with incredible force, smashing the lantern on the stage as the panel and Ishii backed away. The crowd stood and watched as a ring of fire opened in the centre of the stage and a large, monstrous figure rose from the ground. His black hair hung over his grotesque mask and his body was wrapped in red and black, but everyone knew immediately it was the demon known as Kane.
Wyatt fell to his knees, laughing heartily, his arms outstretched. Wyatt then stood and pointed towards Ishii, who's eyes were narrow with anger, but his body and demeanor showed hints of fear. Not expecting anything like this, Ishii chose to leave as Wyatt shouted praise at Kane before the lights went out and both men disappeared.
Wrestlefest Openweight Championship - Ladder Match
Jay White (c) vs. Hiromu Takahashi vs. Will Ospreay
Every year the Openweight Championship is defended by the previous year's champion and every year, newcomers or rising stars answer the challenge. The Openweight Championship is always a big deal as the champions tend to go on to bigger and better things, and almost always end up in the Grand Championship main event in the future. CM Punk, Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura have all called themselves Openweight Champion, as well as Will Ospreay, who lost the title last year to Jay White on the final night of competition. And Ospreay is back with a vengeance. White has been making Ospreay's life a living hell in Japan over the past year, constantly reminding him that no matter how much success Ospreay finds, White still has that win hanging over him. Ospreay is looking for an opportunity to shut White up for good, and he gets his shot at Wrestlefest in a Ladder Match.
The stipulation also grabbed the attention of Hiromu Takahashi, who makes his return to action after a long injury absence. Takahashi and Ospreay have a great history as opponents in the ring and this will just add to their long resume of amazing battles against one another.
Whoever climbs the ladder and nabs the Openweight title has a long weekend ahead of them, but they'll be riding high with a massive momentum boost that might just give them the edge they need to escape this year's Wrestlefest with their title intact.
The Miz vs. "Hangman" Adam Page
Adam Page has been riding high over the past year. He's a member of The Elite, he's a #1 Contender to the AEW World Championship, and he's quickly becoming a crowd favourite the world over after successful careers in both Japan and North America.Perhaps that's why Page felt confident enough to lay down an open challenge for Night #1 of Wrestlefest, and perhaps that's why The Miz answered the call.
The Miz has continued to rise up the power rankings over the past couple years and has seen the most successful span of his career since he held the WWE Championship and main evented Wrestlemania. He brought the WWE Intercontinental title back to prominence, he starred in movies, and had a high-profile feud with Shane McMahon. All these reasons and more were listed off by the A-Lister at Wrestlecon last weekend when asked why he accepted Adam Page's open challenge, capped off with The Awesome One simply saying that "Adam Page needs to learn his place before his head gets too big."
So will he? Or will Adam Page prove that he can walk the walk?
No Disqualifications
Ruby Riott vs. Nikki Cross w/Stevie Richards
Stevie Richards enjoyed a long career as a professional wrestler, but was it a successful one?"I like to think so," Richards replied at Wrestlecon last weekend. "I don't have the hardware or the accolades that most guys do after spending that many years in the business, but I think the shear longevity of my career and the fact I made a decent living speak for itself. Also I'm still technicially the Freedom Pro Wrestling Champion, so..."
Richards isn't officially retired but hasn't graced a ring regularly since 2017. Focusing more on his podcasting & YouTube career, as well as his SRF Training videos, Richards has found peace after wrestling and hopes that his guidance can do the same for his new protege, Nikki Cross.
"I see a lot of myself in Nikki," Richards said. "She's passionate, hard-working and extremely talented, but she lacks that special something that she needs to get over that hurdle and be a top performer. Something I never had but something I feel like I can teach."
With a decorated background in violence and hardcore wrestling, Richards felt that it was best to tap into Nikki's strengths and open up a No Disqualification challenge to kick-off Night #1 of Wrestlefest. Nikki was happy to oblige, paraphrasing Richards' old friend's theme song, simply asking "Who will come out and play with me?"
That someone was Ruby Riott. With plenty to prove and also a lover of all things violent, Ruby Riott jumped at the chance to catapult herself into the women's spotlight at Wrestlefest, and is happy to hand Nikki a loss to kick off the weekend. To quote Riott's twitter, "You want to play? Well I want to riott. #Wrestlefest"
Plus, a very special rendition of "America The Beautiful" by Elias to kick off the show!
Surely no one would be disrespectful enough to interrupt such a patriotic and inspiring moment, so don't be late!
