"Things to Know"
-Fox and NBC did their own personal draft of their rosters they wanted to set their shows the day after Summerslam. No wildcard rule, no brand warfare, no shake-ups. A complete, legitimate split. This will all be set in stone when Smackdown finally airs on Fox.
-Fox didn’t want Vince to be running both shows, as they wanted someone who can give 100% to their show and their show only. With that request, Triple H was given the task of being the man in charge on Friday Nights. Triple H finally gets the control that he always strived for.
-There will only be three shows that the rosters come together and share, and that will only be the Royal Rumble, Wrestlemania and Summerslam (I will only be doing the Smackdown sides of these shows. Raw exits only when I want it to). Both Raw and Smackdown will have their own individual PPVs. This will also be set in motion once Smackdown airs on Fox.
-Seth Rollins dropped his Universal title at Summerslam to Roman Reigns. Kofi Kingston lost the WWE Championship to Daniel Bryan at Hell in a Cell in September.
-Seth Rollins was the first draft pick to Smackdown by Fox executives.
-Bayley retained her Women’s title against Charlotte at Summerslam and against Alexa Bliss at Hell in a Cell.
Afterwards it was announced Becky Lynch would be moving back to Smackdown, while Charlotte moved to Raw.
After Bayley retained her title at HiaC, she was attacked by the returning Sasha Banks.
-Finn Balor is still the I.C Champion. He retained at both Summerslam and HiaC as Demon Balor.
-Daniel Bryan and Rowan lost their tag titles to The Usos before Summerslam. Rowan was moved to Raw, meaning Bryan has lost his intellectual partner.
-The Women’s tag titles never existed. NEVER.
-Shinsuke Nakamura turned face after Rusev turned on him. Shinsuke defeated Rusev at Summerslam and then again at HiaC. He brought back his original theme.
-Johnny Gargano, Matt Riddle, Dakota Kai and Rhea Ripley were all moved up to SD after Summerslam. They’ve had no major stories yet, but have picked up singles wins.
-Former NXT U.K Champion Pete Dunne, who had a legendary reign clocking in at an unbelievable 685 days, was drafted to Smackodwn. His selection was a demand by Triple H himself.
-After Cesaro struggled to get back in singles competition successfully, he was interrupted in an interview by former tag partner Chris Hero (FKA Kassius Ohno). With that, the Kings of Wrestling have reunited in WWE for the first time.
-Andrade "Cien" Almas and Mustafa Ali never got their names shortened.
-Chad Gable, though drafted to SD, is on leave as he has entered a wrestling camp run by Kurt Angle, Shelton Benjamin, and Jason Jordan as Gable attempts to get his career on track.
-Akira Tozawa was moved from 205 Live to SD. There he quickly rekindled a partnership with best friend Apollo Crews, as they set their sights on tag team success.
-Sami Zayn turned face by Hell in a Cell, but still has a reluctant friendship with Kevin Owens.
-Vignettes have aired in the weeks since Summerslam for the returns to the main roster of Luke Harper and Tyler Breeze.
-Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows have re-dubbed themselves The Good Brothers, as they seek to finally solidify their own names in the WWE.
-Out injured for a few months, AJ Styles is back on Smackdown after Fox made sure to get him drafted back to the house he built quickly as possible.
-The big pick-up in the eyes of many, is the fact that Fox, very early in their draft, with guys like Randy Orton and John Cena still available, went with the selection of The Undisputed Era. Fox officials clamored for the pick-up, and got it, so TUE are expected to make a huge splash on the main roster immediately.
