I couldn't find Slice of Pi 1, so I'm listening to Pt. 2 first instead. edit: Found it, but we're listening to 2 anyways. Apologizing for this long reply in advance:
-- R.I.P. Rene. I'm sorry you lost a friend, pduh; makes me pissed that people still question the virus as being legitimate. Real people are dying out here.
-- I love pduh's accent/voice.
-- 10/10 Pi talks like someone I'd hang out with; sounds like a guy I could sit down and shoot the shit with at a campfire chatting about the craziest shit imaginable over a joint/beer while some rando is playing bad Oasis covers in the background on some cheap Esteban guitar.
-- I have never seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang or Matchstick Men, though I've heard of the latter. Rockwell and Ridley Scott, you dare say?? GAME. I'm going to have to give this a watch and review on the Last Movie You Saw thread later.
-- CON-FUCKING-AIR. Cage is hilarious in that movie (and let's not forget that terribly awesome Wicker Man remake) -- So bad, yet sooooo good. I used to hate the guy but I've grown to love him for how cheesy and over-the-top he is sometimes. Not a bad actor though; he shines when given good material.
-- Favorite rom com personally: Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Most in the genre suck. Heartbreak Kid with Ben Stiller was decent, too. Sweet Home Alabama is actually not that bad.
-- The more Pi refers to his significant other as "Wife", the more I picture him as Kevin Sullivan.
-- Great, now it's stuck in my head. Thanks, Pi!
-- Horror is a bloated genre. Thriller/suspense has always been the superior alternative. Don't feel bad Pi, "Girlfriend" jumps at every jumpscare imaginable and I always laugh. I can't even watch horror with her half the time, lol.
-- Alien chestburster scene gets everyone! The facehugger creeps me out more now though. I actually haven't watched Alien
s since I was a kid, need to change that soon.
-- ... are ya gonna pass that blunt, Pi? I hear you over there.
-- Guarantee that it came from Korea....actually, I know that movie -- AUDITION! That's it. *It literally took me 5 minutes trying to find it on Google, good gawd im getting slow* That's a fucked up flick, brother. Way worse than Oldboy in terms of "fuck, I don't wanna watch this" imo. Question that never got asked but should have because I'm a sexist pig: But was living, eligible Lizzy Borden
HAWT? Seriously though: who watches
THAT on the first date? That's like watching
Sixth Sense while trying to hook up with a phantom; Definitely dodged a bullet there, brother.
-- District 9 I didn't enjoy at the time but I've grown to enjoy it way more the second time watching. The aliens were definitely unique. EX MACHINA is an EXCELLENT film, nice shoutout. One of the better AI-related movies to come out recently, and there's been a shit-ton of those lately.
-- I actually own T-3 on DVD (passed down from my grandfather) and if not for that fact, I would have thrown it into a burn pile by this point. Seriously good question: why are the third movies ALWAYS trash? X-Men 3, Spiderman 3 are good examples, too.
-- Thanos is overrated *kidding, I must be the only nerdy soul alive who hasn't seen End Game or Infinity War, so I'll be skipping a little bit ahead here*
Spiderman: Into the Spider-verse is all you need, boss.
-- Shit, we have very similar taste in actors. Tom Hanks is #1 for me and Jake G. is right up there in my Top 5 as well. And you're right, the man can literally do no wrong! Love Maggie, too.
-- DON'T TALK SHIT ABOUT THE J-E-DOUBLE-F J-A-DOUBLE R-E-DOUBLE T, DAMMIT! *slap nuts you with guitar* I used to talk mad shit about Jarrett but nowadays I've grown to like him. Solid upper midcarder and transitional main eventer (and he's good in the ring, not great, but good) he just got pushed way too hard in WCW/TNA.
-- Ragnarok is an absolutely gorgeous film. Best Thor movie in the series for me personally.
-- Least favorite movie for me personally: The Village. I wasted 2 hours of my life in that theater. YES! Zodiac is an overrated film. I love all those guys but still wasn't impressed by it. Years later people are calling it a cinematic classic. I really don't get it either.
-- Fun fact: The original Titanic movie was a film by the Nazi's, #TheMoreYouKnow. Probably still a better watch than Kate Winslett being greedy with driftwood.
-- Pduh breaking my heart over here too with his Tom Hanks disposition. Forrest Gump is pure 90's comedy gold, people can fuck off.
-- #TwilightTitties
-- Pi's from Pitt? Nice. Hate the sports teams, love the
assholes people. Yenz are usually a good bunch. Accent sounds way more Midwestern than Pitt though.
-- I steer away from Tom Cruise specifically for being the WORST of the Scientologists. I give Travolta and others a pass.
-- Emily Blunt does have that face. I liked her in A Quiet Place/Sicario though. For me, it's Jesse Eisenberg -- I would pay big, big money to punch that dweeb at least once.
-- Richard Gere has ONE EXPRESSION. Even when he's trying to show emotion or anger, it's just lost in all that Gere-ness lol. Never thought about this though, Gere should have definitely taken more antagonistic roles.
-- I despise crowds and tend to be a hermit myself, but make exceptions for movie theaters sometimes (though I 100% get where you're coming from). Other people ruin the experience, too. Next time though just make the wife bring her purse and load up the gummies (medicinal and non-medicinal) and you're set, bruddder.
-- The Wire is still the best cop drama ever made.
PREACH!!!!-- Can speak from experience on GoT: Read the books first if you're down with reading in general. Books > Show. Hell, go audio if you have to. First 5-6 seasons live up to the hype. Everyone trashes Season 7 but compared to the last season, it's a damn masterpiece. Brothers Dumb & Dumber were greedy and wanted to move on to their Star Wars project rather than give the show a properly built conclusion.
-- Blast from the past: I genuinely f'n miss y2jman and his entertaining, illiterate shitposting.
-- Apparently it's cool to shit on Stranger Things now? At least that's what I've seen online lately. Don't care though; I love that show, too. Season 3 wasn't as good as the previous two but it wasn't the absolute shits like some are making it out to be. Definitely wasn't no GoT Season 8-levels of bad.
-- Speaking of Stranger Things... Score! THAT'S MY BOIIII!
GET 'EM! Winona is bae.
-- Good point to bring up. Go Ness, didn't even realize that. Can we make Let's Talk vs. PW News the new Wednesday Night Warfare!?
-- "I got a few more rounds of dicks in the bag" LMAO.   I'm literally dying over here... also, I felt stupid reading over everyone's list of wrestlers to see if Rick Rude was available after the 6th-7th round. How could I forget that you were dicking/2xdicking all over this draft?
-- Seriously, who hates Mr. Rogers? Dude's like the nicest guy who ever lived. Must have been awkward finding out ol' Hansky was playing him in a movie...
-- Any of those "reality" based WWE programs:
-- Love both you guys, hated to break those friendly hearts but Seinfeld still sucks imo.
-- Same. I'd mark out seeing anyone from here in some kind of media. I marked out just watching videos of System wrestling. P-Dub's the fam from another clan,
ma'am!-- I actually did take a 30-minute shit once, true story. It was NOT fun.
-- Slice of Pi
3!?!? Fuuuuuck yes. No pressure, but the bar aint set high on 3's of anything as we've previously established. Expecting that the PiMaster will change that!
