So has anyone been following the lucha women's scene lately? I have been a little especially since the Impact women like Tessa started to work there more regulary and it seems to be in a bit of an up swing lately. AAA and CMLL are the two big lucha companies out there, but AAA definitely seems like the more westernized and accessible promotion.
AAA has quite a few women on their roster that I like. Faby Apache is still a top tier wrestler , and doesn't seem like someone who has been wrestling s for around 20 years. Keyr ai a younger talent who have been really impressed by . Starfire is another one I've liked ever since her early work with Stardom. Chica Tormenta also seems pretty good. All in all AAA seems to have a good mix of young talent and vets.
CMLL is a bit less accessible their matches are bit more traditional lucha based which can be a little too convulted and soft fore me. There still s a decent amount of talent there and they also bring in Joshi talent like Kahoo Kobayashi fairly regularly
Some matches for the unfamiliar

The women of AAA had what was by all accounts a fun but pretty messy 7 woman TLC match for the title with none other than Tessa Blanchard winning.

You posted up a lot of the big spots but the nastiest one of all was probably Tessa pushing Chik Tormenta off the top rope towards the end. I think she was probably supposed to somersault onto the ladder that was setup bridging the ring apron and the guardrail but she missed and went completely splat down on the floor.
It really was everything that is both amazing but maddening about AAA. Hamada just whacking everyone with the chair on the outside while Tessa won summed it up perfectly.

Loll the camera work was just really confusing. Some of there choices on when to cut to a different part of the action were just perplexing. It was like it was done at random, and they missed a couple of spots because of it. Like you didn't even get to see how Tessa got rid Taya at the end because of the cut to Hamada killing people with the chair. Lucha is just a bit too chaotic for me but Ilike a lot of the individual wrestlers, and like the rare singles matches. I'm hoping for a long Tessa vs Faby match and of course Tessa vs Ayako.
