Jimmy G. is headed to the 49ers.
Can't say that I totally get this trade from the Patriots side , I figured there was a slight chance Garrapolo got traded this season but I figured it would be for some kind of help on the defensive side of the ball and even more so after Hightower went down for the season. To only get a 2nd round pick out of it seems somewhat flat.
I mean reports out of everywhere this offseason said they were offered a lot more.

Also, Duane Brown's not taking the plane back. He's staying in Seattle, but now as a Seahawk.

Apparently the Browns never offered a first round pick in the preseason, and I imagine Belichick would have rather dealt with San Francisco than Cleveland. I wouldn’t be surprised if they make another trade and move that pick for a defensive lineman.

Going back to Houston for Brown, is cornerback Jeremy Lane.

That 2nd round pick may be the first or second pick of that round. To be fair, they'll have two nice draft picks coming early enough for them.
Also, Siemien is awful. The Broncos have no answer at QB. Alex Smith is a savage.

Siemian’s struggles are largely on his line. He’s a fine quarterback but not good enough to overcome their ineptitude ala Russell Wilson.

It might be the O-Line, but his play is the reason this team misses out on the playoffs. The Bills are doing too good as are the Patriots. Those two teams should take two of the six playoff spots. The Chiefs and the Steelers are more then likely taking their division. Someone is going to win the AFC South. So the Broncos need to get their shit together for the battle for the 6th seed.
Apparently Zekes ruling for the season will come at midnight tonight. I think he gets to play the whole season.

Disappointed to see Duane Brown traded really. That game against Seattle hurt me so bad I didn't even want to talk about it. What a day, epic amazing football game in the afternoon and then unbelievable World Series game that night. I didn't get jack shit done today at work.

Zeke lost his day in court. He will have to serve the six games. Now he can appeal, again. This shit is just haunting this teams season and eventually he's going to have to serve it and he's going to miss a lot of important games by continuing to appeal. He's not winning.

Denver’s defence deserves all the credit in the world for keeping that game respectable, could have easily been a blowout. I thought they might drop off without Wade Phillips but their run defence has improved dramatically thanks to Peko and Gotsis. Kept Hunt to 2.1 ypc tonight.

The Miami Dolphins have traded Jay Ajayi to the Philadelphia Eagles for a 4th round pick. With the poor year Ajayi is having in Miami, could this be the move that he needed? Could this be the move that makes the Eagles the best team in the NFL?
Either way, holy shit.

The Carolina Panthers have traded Kelvin Benjamin to the Buffalo Bills for two draft picks next season. Buffalo got Taylor his best target in his career and the Bills are serious about winning now. The Carolina Panthers weakened their already soft offense with this trade. Big time opportunity for Funchess to step up.

Buyers seem like the winners in both to me. I’m not convinced that Ajayi is a true top tier back, but he gives Philadelphia a great complement to Blount. Miami are going nowhere but I don’t really see the point in trading arguably your best offensive player when you are already struggling to produce.
Carolina also don’t hav an embarrassment of offensive riches and now seem set to have a game plan revolving around dumping tree ball off to CMC 15 times per game. Benjamin hasn’t been quite the player he once was, but is still a big target and good deep threat for Newton who isn’t the most accurate of passers, and he’s now left without any impressive receivers especially with Olsen still out injured.

I've had several hours to digest the trade and I still have no words for it. Correction. I have one: WHY!?!?

They both suck. It doesn't matter. Their defense has to be Dilfer/Ravens good for this team to make any noise. That D just isn't getting any help on offense and is making life hard for Denver. Peyton at 52 with a broken neck/back is better then the healthy garbage Denver is putting out at QB right now.

Well after I made that post he did throw one of the worst interceptions that any quarterback will this season, and also unforgivably threw the ball out of bounds on the 2pt conversion ending any chance of a comeback - so I'm not surprised, but my opinion on the situation doesn't change. He's a perfectly servicable quarterback, you only have to go back a month to see him playing good football, but I don't think he's a great decision maker, and he's poor under duress. The Broncos haven't blocked well for a few years now, and while I think he managed to reset himself in the preseason, the effects of constant pressure are showing up even on plays when he does have some time to throw. You could see numerous times on Monday night that he was throwing off his back foot, ducking away awkwardly as he released, or just panicked and threw the ball earlier than he needed too rather than letting plays develop. Siemian's always going to have a short leash because he's a seventh round pick, and there is more invested in the guys around him. I don't think anyone is optimistic about what Osweiler will produce, and think it's highly likely that he loses the job to Paxton Lynch as soon as he is healthy - but again, there's a reason he couldn't beat Siemian for the starter's job in the first place.
