The same way McCarthy does - Aaron Rodgers. He carries this team to the playoffs every season despite terrible coaching on both sides of the ball which was on full display last night. 

The defense was atrocious and that screen into an all out blitz was coming from a mile away. And the fact we were having to call out out blitzes is terrible - there is no reason we couldn't rush four or five and get home against Stafford and his fourth string LT for awhile. Just pathetic. 

Offensively is where this game was really lost though , I mean McCarthy completely handcuffed Hundley while still making him drop back - he didn't for a second try and establish any sort of running game to take the pressure off of him ... which is odd because when Aaron is in the game McCarthy refuses to ever let go of the running game and can be accused of sticking with it too long. I mean all this talk of running some read option going into the game and we seen it once - I just don't get the game plan going into last night at all. We finally have an offensive line - run the fucking ball! 

It's McCarthy's smartest guy in the room complex he has. Whatever seems to make the most sense at any given time , he prefers to do the opposite. 


It's terrible that he and Capers now have an excuse as to why this team will miss the playoffs. At the end of the day though it's evident they both owe the last 4 years of their salary to Aaron Rodgers for keeping the employed and making them look good at times.
