GWF Quake Season 9 Episode 1 Scottish Rite Temple Kansas City, Missouri
[Cameras pan around the space as the capacity crowd roars in anticipation. The cameras finally settle on Excalibur.]
Excalibur: Good evening wrestling fans, my name is Excalibur, and I am excited to give a voice to the newest season of the Global Wrestling Federation. I will be calling all of the action tonight, and I will be joined throughout the night by two color analysts. Joining me for the men’s division action, please welcome, SAMOA JOE!
[The crowd pops as Samoa Joe comes through the curtain in a suit.]
Joe: Excalibur, I cannot wait to call some action with you tonight. A majority of our broadcast team no strangers to the squared circle, yourself included, and I really believe we will be able to give some great incite on the action.
Excalibur: I couldn’t agree more. And joining me to call the women’s action, a legend in her own right, Beth Phoenix!
[The fans get excited again as Beth comes over by Joe and Excalibur.]
Phoenix: We have some great action for the people tonight!
Excalibur: That’s right. Our President, Eric Bischoff has promised two first round matches in each tournament tonight both the Men’s and Women’s World Title Tournaments, and he has also promised to announce a brand new concept!
Joe: I cannot wait. In the Men’s World Championship tournament, we have Tomasso Ciampa taking on Daniel Bryan and Cody Rhodes going head to head with Jon Moxley.
Phoenix: As for the Women’s World Championship tournament, we have Asuka taking on Ember Moon and Candice LeRae taking on ‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks.
Excalibur: We also have some strange videos that were sent to us by a good friend of President Bischoff, Diamond Dallas Page. I’m not sure what that’s about. Either way, let’s get to the ring for our opening contest.
[Camera cuts to Justin Roberts.]
Roberts: The opening contest is a first round match, in the GWF Women’s World Championship Match!
[The crowd gives a mixed reaction as ‘Sky’s The Limit’ plays, and Sasha Banks comes down to the ring followed very closely by Bayley]
Roberts: Accompanied by Bayley, from Boston, Massachusetts, ‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks!
Phoenix: It sickens me so much to see Bayley following in Sasha’s shadow. She used to be a hard worker who embodied everything that was right in the world of pro wrestling.
Excalibur: That may be true, but you have to credit them. Both women are incredible athletes who changed the way we perceive women’s wrestling.
Phoenix: Oh absolutely. The most notable change here in GWF is the World Championships being distinguished as the Men’s World Championship and the Women’s World Championship. You don’t see that anywhere else.
Excalibur: You most certainly do not.
[The crowd pops as ‘Never Back Down’ plays, and Candice LeRae makes her way through the curtain. She high fives as a few fans on her way to the ring and has a special moment with a young girl in the front row before rolling into the ring.]
Roberts: Her opponent, fighting out of Cleveland, Ohio, Candice LeRae!
Phoenix: Candice LeRae wears her heart on her sleeve from the moment she enters a room. This woman embodies everything I would want for my daughters should they ever venture into professional wrestling.
Excalibur: Without question, I just hope she can overcome the odds of Bayley being at ringside.
Phoenix: I would hope nothing would happen to jeopardize the integrity of this tournament.
GWF Women’s World Championship Tournament Round One: Singles Match ‘The Boss’ Sasha Banks [w/Bayley] versus Candice LeRae The bell rings, but Sasha is still talking to Bayley in the corner. Candice shrugs before getting the early offense. The crowd pops as Candice has her way with Sasha for awhile. After a near fall, The Boss rolls to the floor where she confides in Bayley. LeRae looks frustrated until she delivers a suicide dive to the floor! The crowd pops big! She takes Sasha and Bayley down. All three women are trying to recover. Bayley grabs onto the leg of Candice allowing Sasha back in first. The Hugger argues with the official saying she was just trying to pull herself up. The distraction allows Banks to go back to the floor and send LeRae into the ring post. The official gets to nine in his count out before Candice makes it back in! Sasha is all offense now. She hits a flurry of big maneuvers, but Candice keeps kicking out! Sasha is getting incredibly frustrated. Bayley gets up on the apron to argue with the official. Sasha hits the Bank Statement, but the official is still arguing with Bayley. Banks gets up to try and get his attention. LeRae throws her into Bayley and rolls her up. The official makes the count! Winner, by pinfall and advancing in the tournament, Candice LeRae
Phoenix: Candice did it! She managed to advance!
Excalibur: That’s right. In two weeks, Candice will face the winner of the match between Asuka and Ember Moon later tonight.
Phoenix: I look forward to being out here to watch that one.
Excalibur: Right now, we’re going to send it to part one of many videos sent to us by Diamond Dallas Page.
Excalibur: Hard to say what that was all about, folks, but trust me when I say, we’re going to get to the bottom of it.
Roberts: Please welcome, Global Wrestling Federation President, Eric Bischoff!
[The crowd gives a mixed reaction as Eric Bischoff walks through the curtain.]
Bischoff: Those videos are quite interesting. They’re almost kind of strange. Dally sent me those in confidence hoping I might recognize the guy, and I thought...Damn, those videos would make great television. I’m sure you’re all very excited to see how they turn out. Anyway, tonight, I wanted to introduce a revolutionary concept that is going to allow us to peek into the future of professional wrestling. We are excited to announce a partnership with independentwrestling.tv. We’re teaming up with IWTV to present something called the One Shot Gauntlet.
Over the next four weeks, we’re going to have qualifying matches from all over the country air on our television. The winners of those four matches are going to qualify for the One Shot Gauntlet which will take place at Title Wave in Daytona Beach. The winner of that gauntlet will become the first ever GWF One Shot Champion! The champion will travel all over the country, and if someone can defeat the One Shot Champion in their own territory, they will get the opportunity to come to a Global Wrestling Federation PPV and challenge for the title in front of our capacity audience on a national stage. If the champion goes undefeated on the road, they have the opportunity to face a member of the regular roster, and if they win, they will get a 1 year contract.
Tonight, we’re headed to the White Eagle Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts where Minnesota native Air Wolf will take on the East Coast’s own, Christian Cassanova!
Excalibur: There we go! We will see Air Wolf in action at Title Wave! At this time, I’ve been told we’re going to cut to another video.
Excalibur: Beth, the more I know...The more questions I have.
Phoenix: These videos certainly are strange. It seems like this Cal guy is barking up the wrong tree asking DDP for help though.
Excalibur: As much as I may want to deep dive into whatever the hell is going on with this, it is now time for our second quarter final match in the Women’s World Title Tournament.
[The crowd gives a mixed reaction as Asuka comes through the curtain. She ignores the capacity crowd as she makes her way down to the ring.]
Phoenix: Asuka no stranger to the GWF, but she certainly seems stranger than she did in the past.
Excalibur: Asuka once highly respected as an athlete has been called out for being a bit off her rocker lately.
Phoenix: I tried to have a conversation with her earlier today in the locker room, and it didn’t go well.
[The crowd pops as Ember Moon comes down to the ring to go head to head with the Empress.]
Excalibur: Another person who isn’t one for conversation is Ember Moon.
Phoenix: Ember Moon is totally focused on becoming Women’s World Champion. That’s the difference.
GWF Women’s World Championship Tournament Round One: Singles Match Asuka versus Ember Moon The official is going over the rules with Ember when Asuka comes at him from behind and spits the mist in her eyes. The official is chastising Asuka as Ember holds her eyes in pain. The official is talking about throwing out the match, but Ember insists she’s all right. The referee finally calls for the bell. Asuka is ruthless from the moment the bell rings, and Ember struggles to keep her guard up. Asuka delivers a series of strikes in the corner, and she gets close to being disqualified a handful of times. Moon tries to fight back, but she is clearly struggling to see. The Empress has her in the corner again, and the official gets to four before a break. Moon finally gets the advantage throwing Asuka in the corner. She delivers a series of strikes before Asuka pokes her in the eye. The official didn’t catch it, but Asuka locks in the Asuka Lock. The official has no choice but to call for the bell! Winner, by submission, and advancing in the tournament, Asuka
Excalibur: What a ruthless win by Asuka.
Phoenix: Asuka is lucky this match was even allowed to happen.
Earlier Today
Excalibur: Well, one person we won’t see in the Men’s World Championship Tournament is Baron Corbin.
Joe: Unless something changes, things aren’t looking good for Corbin.
Excalibur: Things are going to be looking very good for someone here soon.
Roberts: The following contest is a first round match in the GWF Men’s World Championship Tournament!
[The crowd gives a mixed reaction as ‘No One Will Survive’ plays. Tomasso Ciampa makes his way through the curtain. He’s got his eyes set on the ring.]
Excalibur: Tomasso Ciampa is very focused for this match.
Joe: He’s laser focused, and it’s an incredible opportunity for him. There are absolutely people who would say he isn’t ready for it or he doesn’t deserve it. He’s gotta shut those people up.
[The crowd nearly explodes when ‘Ride of the Valkyries’ plays. Daniel Bryan comes through the curtain. The crowd is 100% behind Bryan as he makes his way down to the ring.]
Excalibur: Some have called him the odds on favorite to win the entire tournament.
Joe: I hope he doesn’t look past Tomasso Ciampa though.
Excalibur: I don’t think he will.
GWF Men’s World Championship Tournament Round One: Singles Match Tomasso Ciampa versus Daniel Bryan Both men move toward each other in the center of the ring. They shake hands. The crowd pops for the sportsmanship. The match begins with some chain wrestling. The commentators are surprised by Ciampa’s ability to hold his own as long as he does. Bryan ultimately gets control of the match. He delivers quite a bit of offense, but Ciampa stays in the game. There are a series of near falls, but Ciampa stays in the match. Bryan sets him up for the big dropkick in the corner, but Ciampa manages to move out of the way. This is where the tide turns. Ciampa now takes control of the match with a myriad of offense. He brutally punishes Bryan in the middle of the ring. Every time it looks like Ciampa may have it won, Bryan finds a way to escape. Ciampa starts to pull out the big impact maneuvers, but Bryan won’t stay down. Frustration is starting to play a factor. Ciampa begins to hit with more brutal, hateful strikes. Bryan keeps fighting back and inadvertently pushes Ciampa into the official causing the referee to take an elbow to the head. Bryan goes to check on the official when Ciampa grabs Bryan’s tights as if to hit him with a low blow. He stops. Bryan steps away realizing what he’s doing. “What were you going to do?” Bryan shouts at him. “Nothing!” Ciampa retorts. “If that’s the only way you can beat me, do it.” Bryan stands with his legs spread challenging Ciampa to kick him. He thinks about it, but he goes for a clothesline instead. Bryan ducks, goes off the ropes, and hits him with the running knee! He goes for the pin, but the official hasn’t come to. Bryan revives the referee. Ciampa goes to attack him, but Bryan catches with the knee for a second time! The official gets into position, and it’s over!! Winner, by pinfall, and advancing in the tournament, Daniel Bryan
Excalibur: Big win for Daniel Bryan! He will face the winner of tonight’s main event.
Joe: Interesting to note Bryan never went for the LeBell Lock in this match. I think it’s a testament to the fact he knew Ciampa would never give up.
Excalibur: How about the fact that Ciampa thought about going for the low blow?
Joe: Hey, when you’re in there with the Best in the World, and you’re competing for the richest prize in the sport, all strategies are on the table; legal or otherwise.
Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
[The crowd boos as The Ugly Side of Pro Wrestling, Kevin Steen and Jon Moxley make their way down to the ring.]
Joe: I know that Moxley is in action after the next commercial break, but what are they doing out here now?
Excalibur: Tomasso Ciampa is still in the ring.
[Steen and Moxley roll into the ring before Steen yells for Justin Roberts to give them microphones.]
Steen: Why didn’t you do it, Tomasso?
Moxley: You should have done it.
Steen: I would have done it.
Moxley: Hell, I would have punched him in the dick twice, just for fun.
[Ciampa yells without a microphone, “I don’t have to cheat to win.”]
Steen: You don’t do it because you have to!
Moxley: You do it because you want to!
Steen: Now, we were planning to come out here tonight after your match and offer you a spot in our happy little group because we thought you were one of us. We thought you were a guy who was tired of playing by the rules. We thought you were a guy who had some potential in joining us in doing what we do.
[Ciampa, “And what’s that?”]
Moxley: What’s that? What’s that? Whatever the hell we want. We beat people up when we want. We win matches by any means necessary, and we don’t care who we take out in the process. We’re not exactly rule followers.
Steen: So after your little flood of conscience tonight, we’re going to take the offer off the table for now. But give it some time. Give it some thought. Ask yourself if you want to be a part of the most powerful group this company has to offer….
Moxley: Or if you want to die.
Steen: But right now you need to get out of the ring.
Moxley: That’s right. I need to kick some spoiled rich kid’s ass.
[Ciampa looks at both of them as if contemplating immediate action, but instead, he gets out of the ring.]
Excalibur: Interesting offer from The Ugly Side of Pro Wrestling.
Joe: Offer? It wasn’t an offer Excalibur, it was a threat. Join us or die. What kind of-oh great.
Steen: Since my buddy Mox won’t have any trouble kicking pretty boy ass tonight, I thought I’d come help you guys out on commentary.
Excalibur: Well, as much as we appreciate that, we’ve got one more video we need to play.
Roberts: The following contest is your main event! It is a first round match in the GWF Men’s World Championship Tournament! Already in the ring, representing The Ugly Side of Pro Wrestling, Jon Moxley!
[The crowd pops as Kingdom by Downstait plays. Cody Rhodes makes his way through the curtain.]
Steen: I hate Cody Rhodes. I cannot wait for Moxley to kick his ass. This is exactly the kind of guy who represents everything we don’t. He’s a handsome, traditional, scientific wrestler.
Excalibur: Don’t discount his ability.
Steen: I didn’t, but the point is, he’s a kiss ass.
GWF Men’s World Championship Tournament Round One: Singles Match Jon Moxley versus Cody Rhodes The referee calls for the bell. Moxley goes for a low blow, but Cody jumps up and strikes him with a punch. Cody starts off the match with a flurry of high speed offense. Rhodes hits a flurry of suplexes and strikes which leave Moxley with wobbly legs. He hits him with a flurry of uppercuts before taking him down with a powerslam. He hooks the leg, but Moxley kicks out. Moxley then pokes Cody in the eye when the official doesn’t see it. He takes advantage of Rhodes holding his eye, and now The Lunatic is unhinged. He delivers a plethora of offense to Cody. He delivers a series of strikes. He suplexes him over the top rope sending him to the floor. The official starts a count out. Moxley breaks the count by hitting Cody with a suicide dive. He throws Cody into the barricade. He then throws him into the stairs. Moxley grabs Justin Roberts and throws him to the floor before folding up their chair Justin was sitting in. Moxley lifts the chair over his head, but Cody moves out of the way. Mox gets the chair up again, and Cody kicks it into his face before sliding back into the ring to break the official’s count. Rhodes is taking some time to recover when the official keeps counting. Moxley piefaces the time keeper and throws the ring bell into the ring. The official grabs the bell, and Moxley grabs the chair. He slides back into the ring, but Cody tries to grab the chair from him. The official tells them both to drop the chair. They continue to struggle. Cody finally lets go, and the momentum causes Moxley to hit himself with the chair! CROSSRHODES! The referee gets into position! One...two...THREE! Winner, by pinfall, and advancing in the tournament, Cody Rhodes!
[Steen goes down to meet Moxley who is frustrated. Cody gets his hand raised as ‘Southern Pride’ by CFO$ plays.]
Excalibur: Two huge semi final matches scheduled for two weeks from tonight! Candice LeRae versus Asuka and Daniel Bryan versus Cody Rhodes!
Joe: Hold on. Does Cody come out to that Downstait song?
Excalibur: I was kinda no selling it. I thought maybe it was a technical error, but yeah, this isn’t Cody’s song.
[The crowd gives a mixed reaction as The Revival of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder make their way through the curtain with microphones.]
Dawson: Dash! Dash! The first episode is almost over. Can you believe it?
Wilder: I can’t believe it! Do you know WHY I can’t believe it?
Dawson: It’s probably because there wasn’t a single tag team match on this show.
Wilder: There wasn’t a single mention of the tag team division on this show!
Dawson: When, Dash, do you think this company will put some respect on tag team wrestling?
Wilder: I reckon we’re going to have to take it!
Dawson: I reckon you’re right. Maybe we do that by kicking Cody Rhodes’ sorry ass right now!
[The Revival starts to head down to the ring when President Eric Bischoff appears on the screen.]
Bischoff: Guys, I’ll be the first one to admit it. I screwed up by not including any tag team wrestling tonight, but before you kick Cody’s ass, why don’t you listen to this HUGE announcement? Next week, I’m going to make up for there being no tag team wrestling. Because next week on Quake, it’s going to be The Usos versus The Lucha Brothers! Thanks so much for watching. Have a great night! Roll the credits!

GWF Quake Season 9 Episode 2 Scottish Rite Temple Kansas City, Missouri
[The opening package plays featuring all of the action from last week. It shows Candice sneaking the victory away from Sasha. It shows Asuka making Ember Moon tap out. You see Daniel Bryan pick up the win over Tomasso Ciampa. The package ends with Cody Rhodes hitting Jon Moxley with the Cross Rhodes. The camera pans around the crowd, and it finally focuses on Excalibur, Samoa Joe, and Beth Phoenix.]
Excalibur: Good evening, and welcome to-
[Excalibur is interrupted by No One Will Survive by CFO$. The crowd gives a mixed reaction as Tomasso Ciampa makes his way through the curtain. He stomps all the way to the ring with a no nonsense look on his face. He grabs Justin Roberts’ chair and throws it into the ring. He slides in before asking Roberts for the microphone.]
Ciampa: Excalibur. Joe. Beth. I am so sorry for cutting off your intro to the show, but I was given a week to make a choice. I was given a week to make a choice whether I was going to take a step on the wild side and join The Ugly Side of Pro Wrestling, or if I was going to continue to go on my own. Actually, that wasn’t how they put it. I’m pretty sure Moxley said my choices were to join The Ugly Side of Pro Wrestling or die. So the question is will I join or will I die?
The thing about the Ugly Side of Pro Wrestling is they are ruthless. They are merciless. They don’t care about the fans. They don’t care about the rules. They only care about themselves. They are heartless. But I’m the Black Heart. I have a heart. It may be black, but I have one.
Speaking of heart and allegiances, I am going to choose to put my allegiance with people who do have a heart. People who never give up. People like Candice LeRae who actually won her match last week unlike Jon Moxley. People like Johnny Gargano who is going to win his match tonight!
Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.[/u]
[The crowd boos as The Ugly Side of Pro Wrestling of Kevin Steen and Jon Moxley make their way down to the ring. Steen asks for a microphone, and Ciampa throws his in his direction.]
Steen: I know we promised we would kill you right here and right now, but I want to really hurt you. I want to break you emotionally, mentally, and physically. I am going to BREAK your little friend, Johnny Gargano right in front of your very eyes.
[The crowd pops as Rebel Heart plays! Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae make their way through the curtain.]
Roberts: The opening contest is a GWF Men’s World Championship Tournament. Already in the ring representing The Ugly Side of Pro Wrestling, Kevin Steen! His opponent from Cleveland, Ohio, Johnny Gargano!
GWF Men’s World Championship Tournament Round One: Singles Match Kevin Steen [w/Jon Moxley] versus Johnny Gargano [w/Candice LeRae and Tomasso Ciampa] The match starts with Kevin Steen SPITTING toward Candice LeRae! She jumps up onto the apron, and Moxley runs toward her. Ciampa comes after Moxley. Steen and Gargano go down to the floor, and there is a chase going on outside the ring. The official loses his temper. He ejects Ciampa, LeRae, and Moxley! Moxley leaves first, and when he gets halfway up the ramp, he turns around toward Candice. Ciampa is right there to stop him, but Johnny is distracted. Steen takes afvantage of the opportunity! He hits him right in the back of the head with a forearm. He hits him in the back of the head repeatedly with the stiff forearms. He then dumps Gargano over the top rope. He rolls to the floor before delivering an apron power bomb! The official tells him to get back into the ring. Steen throws Gargano back in, but he pulls him right back out resetting the count. He delivers a SECOND apron power bomb. He throws him into the stairs before throwing him back into the ring. He pins Gargano, but Johnny kicks out! Steen screams before lifting him up by the hair. He throws him into the ropes delivering a pop-up power bomb. He goes for the pin again, and it’s over. Winner, by pinfall and advancing in the tournament, Kevin Steen
[Steen yells “Did you see that Ciampa?”]
Excalibur: Well, I was about to announce that we’d see Kevin Steen and Johnny Gargano, but we just saw that one.
Joe: Then, later tonight, Seth Rollins goes head to head with Keith Lee in a match that could steal the show.
Excalibur: Beth, care to share what we’re going to see from the Women’s Division?
Phoenix: Absolutely! We’re going to see Bayley take on Shayna Baszler. We’ve also got Becky Lynch taking on Bianca Belair.
Excalibur: I believe that one is coming up right now!
[The crowd boos as Watch Me Shine plays. Bianca Belair makes her way through the curtain.]
Phoenix: Bianca Belair is an incredible athlete, but she’s yet to really prove herself in terms of getting those big wins.
Excalibur: You could argue that she’s three big wins away from becoming the GWF Women’s World Champion.
Phoenix: She absolutely is, but she’s gotta get past Becky Lynch which isn’t going to be easy.
[The crowd pops as Celtic Invasion plays. Becky Lynch comes through the curtain to a huge ovation from the capacity crowd. ]
GWF Women’s World Championship Tournament Round One: Singles Match Bianca Belair versus Becky Lynch Belair offers a handshake to Lynch. She then pulls the hand away and yells “Un-de-fea-ted!” Lynch shakes her head and responds “Of course you are! It’s your first match!” Bianca slaps Becky! However The Man retaliates with a slap of her own! Becky comes in with a series of strikes. She clearly takes control of the match. Becky works over Bianca for awhile until The EST reverses a vertical suplex! The former track athlete hits a myriad of offensive moves on Lynch. She goes for the pin, but The Man kicks out. Belair gets frustrated and begins to whip Lynch with her hair. The Man asks the official if this is legal, and she shrugs. Belair applies a headlock. Lynch pushes her into the corner. She waits until the four count to break, and Lynch springboards off the middle rope to take Belair down. She applies the Disarmher. Belair reaches for the ropes. She cannot get to them. Lynch wrenches back on the arm. Belair is letting out cries of pain. She desperately tries to get her hand to the ropes. Lynch pulls her center and lets out a primal cry! There is an audible snap, and the official calls for the bell! Winner, by referee’s decision, and advancing, Becky Lynch
Excalibur: This seems bad. Beth Phoenix has left the announce position to go help check on Bianca Belair until we can get a doctor down here.
[Beth Phoenix and Becky Lynch both look concerned as they try to keep Belair’s arm in place.]
Excalibur: Samoa Joe has joined me at the announce position. Joe, any incite about what just happened?
Joe: No. I came out here as soon as I saw it. I was watching on a monitor in the back, and it looked bad. You know, a wrestler like Becky Lynch never intends to injure her opponent, and I hope Belair has a speedy recovery.
Excalibur: Scary stuff out there for sure. I’m being told that we’re cutting to something else while we attend to Bianca Belair.
[When we come back from the video, Keith Lee is already in the ring.]
Excalibur: We just wanted to share quickly that Bianca Belair has been taken to a local medical facility where she will be checked out.
Joe: Meanwhile, check out Keith Lee. Here is a guy who many don’t believe belong in this tournament, but he believes he is Limitless.
Excalibur: It’s a hard point to argue, Joe, but his limitlessness will certainly be tested in this next one.
[The crowd pops when Burn It Down plays. Seth Rollins makes his way through the curtain to a big pop from the capacity crowd.]
Excalibur: Seth Rollins is one of the odds on favorites to win this tournament.
Joe: If he wins, he’s got to go up against Kevin Steen. You also factor Daniel Bryan and Cody Rhodes still being in the tournament, nothing will be easy.
GWF Men’s World Championship Tournament Round One: Singles Match Keith Lee versus Seth Rollins The bell rings, and Rollins goes right for the big man. It’s like hitting a brick wall. Rollins tries to get Lee off his feet, but he’s clearly having trouble. He uses his speed to try and take him down, but he can’t do it. Lee then lifts Rollins over his head and drops him flat on the mat. Lee then shows off some of his own speed as he does some serious damage to Rollins. Things are not looking good for the Slayer. Lee grabs him and hits him with a belly to belly suplex which sends him over the top rope! The crowd is awed by the power of Lee. Rollins kicks the steel stairs in frustration before rolling back into the ring. Lee gives him a “Come on!” Rollins comes back into the ring with a house of fire throwing a myriad of strikes which begin to take their toll on Lee. He fights him into the corner before hitting a shotgun dropkick, and the big man falls down to all fours. Rollins goes off the ropes and hits him with the Stomp, but Lee moves out of the way. Lee shoots him off the ropes. POUNCE! Lee goes for the pin! Winner, by pinfall and advancing in the tournament, Keith Lee
Joe: WHOA! WHOA! Did that just happen!?
Excalibur: Talk about an upset!
Joe: Get on the phone with your brokers because I’m betting some people just lost a lot of money!
Excalibur: Keith Lee just got an upset victory over Seth Rollins! Now, we’re going to send you to our friends at IndependentWrestling.TV for another One Shot Gauntlet Qualifier!
Excalibur: A little underhanded in his victory, but I look forward to seeing more from AC Mack.
Joe: Absolutely.
Roberts: The following contest is a TAG TEAM Match!
[The crowd pops as Done With That plays. Jimmy and Jey Uso make their way down to the ring to a good reaction from the crowd.]
Joe: Excalibur, I’m not going to lie. This is a dream match.
Excalibur: Absolutely. We’ve never seen these two teams go head to head before.
[Another big pop as Lucha Bros plays! Pentagon, Jr. and Fenix make their way through the curtain.]
Joe: I can’t get over how good this one is going to be.
Excalibur: Two top teams who have never faced each other.
Tag Team Match The Usos [Jimmy and Jey] versus The Lucha Bros. [Pentagon, Jr. and Rey Fenix] Both teams have a face off mid-ring before the official tells them to take their corners to start the match. Jey Uso and Fenix circle around each other waiting for the bell to ring. The bell rings. They circle around each other some more. Suddenly, Dash Wilder pulls Jimmy Uso off the apron to the floor, and Scott Dawson pulls down Pentagon, Jr. They send them into the ring posts! They slide into the ring with steel chairs and attack the legal competitors. No Contest
Joe: Come on!
Excalibur: Are you kidding me?
[Dawson and Wilder attack both teams with steel chairs before demanding microphones.]
Dawson: I guess we weren’t clear.
Wilder: We don’t just want any teams in tag team matches.
Dawson: We want The Revival in tag team matches!
[President Eric Bischoff appears on the screen.]
Bischoff: Gentlemen, we’ve got to stop meeting like this. You want The Revival in tag team matches? Good. I do, too. Next week, it’s going to be both members of The Revival against one of the Usos teaming with one of the Lucha Bros! Also, at Title Wave it’s going to be The Revival versus The Usos versus The Lucha Bros in a Tables, Ladders, and Chairs Match for the GWF Tag Team Championships! Yeah, that’ll get some ratings. All right. Now get out of there.
Joe: Huge news!
Excalibur: Huge news indeed, but Joe, I’m going to need to ask you to give up your chair so Beth Phoenix can join me for our main event!
Roberts: The following contest is your main event!
[The crowd boos as Bayley walks through the curtain joined by Sasha Banks.]
Excalibur: The winner of this match will join Candice LeRae, Asuka, and Becky Lynch in the final four.
Phoenix: You have to think Bayley wants to join the ranks, especially since her friend, Sasha Banks failed to get the victory.
Excalibur: She certainly won’t have an easy victory if she wants to advance though.
Phoenix: No, she will not.
[The crowd gives a mixed reaction as Loyalty Is Everything plays. Shayna Baszler comes through the curtain.]
Excalibur: Shayna Baszler is, without a doubt, one of the toughest women on the GWF roster.
Phoenix: I’d argue she’s one of the toughest people on the GWF roster.
Excalibur: Oh. Absolutely. But she’s got her work cut out for her tonight against Bayley.
Phoenix: Not to mention, she’ll need to have eyes in the back of her head with Sasha Banks at ringside.
GWF Women’s World Championship Tournament Round One: Singles Match Bayley [w/ Sasha Banks] versus Shayna Baszler Bayley walks toward Shayna with a very confident swagger, and Baszler grabs her with a double leg takedown. The Submission Magician mounts her and rolls her over to apply a hammerlock. Bayley reaches for the ropes, but she cannot quite get there. Baszler rotates to pull back in the leg in a variation of a single leg crab. Sasha Banks reaches in to try and pull her toward the ropes. The official chastising Sasha distracts Shayna, and she breaks the hold. Bayley takes the advantage and works her over. She targets the arm of Baszler using a series of holds and strikes to do damage to the arm. She wraps her arm around the middle rope until the official counts to four when she breaks. Sasha then grabs Baszler’s arm and yanks it down with all of her wait. The official suspects Sasha doing something and goes to yell at her when Bayley goes over to choke Shayna on the middle rope. The official turns around to chastise Bayley, and Sasha runs over to choke Shayna herself. Bayley grabs Baszler and throws her to the mat. She hooks the leg. Baszler kicks out! Banks calls for Bayley to come to the floor to strategize. Baszler takes a minute to catch her breath before rolling to the floor. She attacks Bayley from behind sending her into Sasha. Bayley strikes back with a punch to the bad arm before suplexing her on the floor. The official starts a count out as Bayley is putting the boots to Baszler on the floor. She rolls in at the count of 8. She holds her knee, and she wants the official to check on her. When he does, Banks hits Baszler with a Meteora! The official doesn’t see it. He reaches 10. Winner, by count out and advancing, Bayley [w/Sasha Banks]
Phoenix: Talk about highway robbery! Is this really the type of person Bayley wants to be?!
Excalibur: Judging by the smile on her face, I’d say yes.
Phoenix: It’s disgusting. Well, in two weeks we’ll see her face Becky Lynch.
[We see President Eric Bischoff on the phone in his office.]
Bischoff: Dallas, it’s great TV. Don’t worry. I sent security to your compound. He actually tried to show up to the headquarters. Don’t worry, Dallas. I’ve got security on it. He’s not coming anywhere near the Global Wrestling Federation!
[Camera cuts back to Excalibur, Samoa Joe, and Beth Phoenix.]
Excalibur: Technical error there, I think. I don’t think we were supposed to go into Mr. Bischoff’s office like that. Either way, we’ve got a lot of action for you next week! I’ve been informed it will be Pentagon, Jr. and Jimmy Uso taking on The Revival! Also, we will be doing something special for our One Shot Gauntlet Qualifier! We’re going to meet Seth Rollins in Davenport, Iowa to watch a match LIVE from the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy! Beth, what do we have in Women’s Division action?
Phoenix: We will see Asuka go one on one with Candice LeRae in a semi final match in the Women’s World Championship Tournament!
Excalibur: I can’t wait. Joe, what do we have for singles action in the Men’s Division?
Joe: We’re going to see Daniel Bryan go one on one with Cody Rhodes.
Excalibur: That should be excellent. We’ll see you next week!

GWF Quake Season 9 Episode 3 Ocean Center Daytona Beach, Florida
[The opening credits play. We see Daniel Bryan hitting a running knee. Becky Lynch applying a disarmher. Seth Rollins taking someone out with a stomp. Asuka applying the Asuka Lock. The camera then pans around the arena before focusing on Excalibur, Samoa Joe, and Beth Phoenix.]
Excalibur: Good evening everyone, and welcome to episode 3 of Quake. We have so much action for you.
Joe: That’s right Daniel Bryan is going one on one with Cody Rhodes in the main event.
Phoenix: In the Women’s World Championship Tournament, we will see Candice LeRae take on The Empress, Asuka.
Excalibur: We’re going to get a very unique opportunity to go to the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy in Davenport, Iowa for a special live edition of the One Shot Gauntlet Qualifier. But to start off the show-
[Excalibur is interrupted when Southern Pride plays. The crowd boos as Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder collectively known as The Revival make their way down to the ring.]
Joe: The Revival have been very vocal about their displeasure by the way tag team wrestling has been presented in the Global Wrestling Federation so far. And while I think they may have a valid argument, their method of communicating it has been less than effective.
Excalibur: Ineffective as it may have been, they are in the GWF Tag Team Championship Match at Title Wave.
Joe: Yes, they are, but they’ve got to make it there, and they didn’t exactly endear themselves to either of the opposing teams.
Excalibur: Very true. I’m interested to see how Jimmy Uso and Pentagon, Jr. work together.
Joe: A chance to take out both members of The Revival while their brothers get to rest? They’ll find a way to work together.
[Done With That plays as Jimmy Uso makes his way through the curtain. He walks down the ramp by himself, and he slides into the ring turning to the ramp to await the entrance of his partner. Then, WILDER and DAWSON attack him!]
Joe: What the hell!
Excalibur: At some point, these two aren’t going to get away with doing whatever the hell they want!
Joe: Pentagon isn’t even out here! Why did the referee call for the bell!?
Tag Team Match The Revival [Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder] versus Jimmy Uso and Pentagon, Jr. Wilder is putting the boots to Uso before throwing him into the corner where he tags in Dawson. They take full advantage of the officials count and double team Uso. Pentagon finally gets down to the ring, and he slides in to fight. The official grabs him and instructs him to go to the corner. The Revival use this opportunity to double team Uso some more. Shatter Machine on Uso! Dawson goes for the pin, but Penta breaks the pin. The official loses control for a moment, but when he’s trying to get Wilder back to the corner, Pentagon drags Uso over closer to him. He gets the tag, and when he joins the match, he hits Dawson with a Destroyer! He then hits Wilder with a Package Piledriver! He goes for the pin, but Wilder isn’t the legal man. Meanwhile, Jey Uso jumps the barricade in a hoodie and switches spots with his brother. Dawson and the official both miss it. Penta works Dawson into the corner and tags Jey. He acts hurt and lets Dawson grab him, but then he springs way from him. Super Kick! Jey tags Pentagon who goes for the pin! It’s over! Winners, by pinfall, Jimmy Uso and Pentagon, Jr.
[Jey and Pentagon are getting their hands raised when JEY KICKS PENTAGON! Jimmy Uso is getting to his feet when he is JUMPED BY FENIX! Dawson and Wilder join the melees as officials come down to break it up.]
Joe: All hell has broken loose!
Excalibur: Let’s send it to a video from earlier today!
Earlier Today
Excalibur: Strong words from Shayna Baszler.
Phoenix: She was robbed last week, and she wants to be sure she won’t be overlooked in the future. I don’t blame her.
Excalibur: Well, right now we’re going to keep going with the Women’s World Championship Tournament.
Phoenix: That’s right. We’ve got Candice LeRae who shocked a lot of people in the first week when she defeated Sasha Banks taking on Asuka who brutally beat Ember Moon two weeks ago.
Excalibur: One of these women are about to stamp their ticket to Title Wave.
[The crowd boos as The Future plays while Asuka comes down to the ring. She has a deranged look on her face with a creepy hint of a smile.]
Excalibur: Let’s remind our audience how Asuka made it to the second round.
Phoenix: She took every shortcut in the book including using the poison mist. She then poked Ember Moon in the eye behind the referee’s back.
Excalibur: She definitely stole one there, but she’s got a very capable opponent in Candice LeRae.
Phoenix: I couldn’t agree more!
[The crowd pops as Never Back Down plays and Candice LeRae comes through the curtain with a big smile on her face! Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa come with her to the stage. She hugs them both before motioning that she wants to do this alone.]
Phoenix: Candice LeRae embodies the spirit of the kind of person I want representing the Global Wrestling Federation as our Women’s Champion.
Excalibur: Her allies Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa both out of the Men’s World Championship Tournament still there to support her, but she doesn’t want them ringside for the match.
Phoenix: And it’s going to be a big hill for her to get past Asuka.
Excalibur: No question.
GWF Women’s World Championship Tournament Semi-Finals: Singles Match Asuka versus Candice LeRae The official is checking Candice when Asuka comes over to the corner, but Candice jumps out of the ring. LeRae reaches under the ring and pulls out protective goggles. The crowd pops. She rolls back into the ring, and the official calls for the bell. The match starts with some chain wrestling that is centered around Asuka trying to get the goggles off of Candice. LeRae throws a flurry of strikes at Asuka escaping the holds. She then takes control of the match using a series of strikes and throws to assert her dominance over The Empress. She goes for a pin, and Asuka kicks out at 2.5. Asuka is furious accusing the referee of counting quickly. She kicks LeRae in the head before she begins to berate the official more. She turns her head and sprays the mist at the official, but he jumps onto the turnbuckle to avoid getting it in his eyes. His shirt is covered in green mist. She then grabs his ankles and throws him over the top rope in frustration! She now punches Candice in the head repeatedly before rolling out to the floor. Asuka pulls out a kendo stick. A production assistant puts his hands up telling her to stop, but she hits him with it! She then rolls into the ring and hits LeRae with the kendo stick repeatedly! The crowd is going crazy. The official uses the apron to pull himself to his feet and immediately calls for the bell. Winner, by disqualification, and advancing, Candice LeRae
Excalibur: I’m sure this isn’t how Candice wanted to advance.
Phoenix: Asuka needs to stop. This is getting out of control.
[The official gets back into the ring, but he is also hit with the kendo stick. More officials come running down. Asuka breaks the kendo stick in half and threatens to stab Candice in the forehead with it! Gargano and Ciampa come running down with steel chairs. They slide into the ring, and Asuka rolls out laughing. Beth Phoenix stands up at the announce table shaking her head in disapproval when Asuka dives over the table attacking Beth! The referees run over trying to pull her off. She goes for Excalibur’s mask, but they finally drag her away from the commentary table. She gets away from them and dives under the ring.]
Excalibur: Beth, are you ok? What the hell is she doing now?
[She comes back out from under the ring with two kendo sticks! She is taking out members of the security team with both sticks. Finally, Ember Moon comes down and Asuka turns her head away before hitting her with the poison mist again. Asuka hits her repeatedly with the kendo sticks. Finally, President Eric Bischoff walks on stage with Baron Corbin and police who surround Asuka and put her in handcuffs. They carry her away as she has a deranged look on her face.]
Excalibur: That was wild.
Joe: You all right?
Excalibur: I’ll be alright. Beth Phoenix has been helped to the back. Asuka is out of control.
Joe: I have a feeling it may be awhile before we see her again.
Excalibur: Between me and you, I hope so. All right, one a lighter note, we’re going to send it to Davenport, Iowa where Seth Rollins is going to give us a little tour of the Black and Brave Wrestling Academy, and we will see our next One Shot Gauntlet Qualifier.
Excalibur: I don’t...I don’t know what to say about that.
Joe: They went through all of those security measures to make sure he didn’t show up here. I don’t think anyone counted on him showing up in Iowa.
Excalibur: Well, we’re almost ready for our main event, but I’m told we’re heading to the back where Byron Saxton is standing by with Jon Moxley.
[The camera cuts to the back where Byron Saxton is with Jon Moxley.]
Saxton: Jon-
Moxley: Give me that damn microphone. Two weeks ago, Cody Rhodes may have pinned me to the mat for the count of three, but he didn’t beat. He CAN’T beat me! Because I am indestructible. I’m not the one getting destroyed. I am the destroyer. I destroy men. I destroy women and children. I’m an animal. I do whatever I damn well please.
Two weeks ago, I also gave Tomasso Ciampa an ultimatum. Join The Ugly Side of Pro Wrestling or die, and I wasn’t kidding when I said that. Tomasso Ciampa went out in front of all those people, and he talked about heart. He talked about how much heart he had. He talked about how much heart Johnny Gargano and Candice LeRae have. And maybe that’s true. But this is what he doesn’t know. I’m going to break his black heart. I am going to break the heart of Johnny Wrestling, and if Candice doesn’t know what’s good for her, we’ll break her, too.
Two weeks ago, I said if Tomasso Ciampa didn’t join us, he would die. But it’s not going to be a sudden death. Nah. It’s going to be a slow, agonizing death. It’s gonna start at Title Wave when you put your fate in Johnny Gargano’s hands, and I put my fate in Kevin Steen’s hands because before he wins the GWF Men’s World Champion, he’s going to be my corner man against you in a Towel Match!
Joe: Is that real?
Excalibur: I’m being told- Yes. It is confirmed, Tomasso Ciampa with Johnny Gargano versus Jon Moxley with Kevin Steen in a Towel Match at Title Wave.
Roberts: It is now time for our main event!
Excalibur: Joe, remind us how each of these men got to the semi finals.
Joe: Daniel Bryan had an incredibly competitive match against Tomasso Ciampa where he picked up the victory. Cody Rhodes surprised a lot of people when he overcame the odds and beat Jon Moxley.
[The crowd cheers as Kingdom by Downstait plays. Cody Rhodes walks out on stage, and he takes in all of the crowd before walking down to the ring. He greets several of the fans before walking into the ring. He looks up. He looks down, and he waits for his opponent.]
Excalibur: Cody Rhodes has never really won the big one.
Joe: He hasn’t, but this is a HUGE challenge.
Excalibur: It is. He’s facing a great wrestler.
Joe: One of the best in the world.
[The crowd explodes as Ride of the Valkyries plays, and Daniel Bryan comes through the curtain.]
GWF Men’s World Championship Tournament Semi-Finals: Singles Match Cody Rhodes versus Daniel Bryan The official calls for the bell. Both men make their way toward the center of the ring. Cody offers a handshake, and Bryan accepts. The crowd cheers. They begin to circle around each other before they engage in a collar and elbow tie up. Both men struggle to get control as they push each other around the ring. They go into the ropes, and the official calls for a break. They go back to neutral corners before locking up against. Cody quickly pivots into a side headlock. He shifts his weight to keep the pressure on Bryan. He tries to force his way onto him to maintain the pressure, but he’s starting to struggle. The crowd wills him up. He reverses it and takes Cody down with a side headlock takedown of his own. Cody gets over to the ropes, and the official calls for a break. Bryan breaks clean and backs away before diving with another headlock takedown. Cody this time gets the support of the crowd and gets up to his feet. He tries to escape the grip or get to the ropes, but he struggles to do so. He finally grabs Bryan by the waist and lifts him up for a backdrop! He rolls into a pin, and the official gets to two. Bryan gets frustrated that Cody pinned him, and he begins to hit with some hard strikes. The tone of the match takes a turn for the aggressive. It does not have the competitive air it had at the beginning. Bryan kicks Cody in the chest repeatedly in the corner until the official starts a count. Bryan then backs out. He hits Cody with another flurry of offense before trying to apply the LeBell Lock. Cody gets to the ropes. Bryan backs up in frustration. He hits the running knee. He goes for the pin. Cody kicks out. Bryan picks him up by the hair and kicks him in the chest three times before slamming him head first into the mat and applying the LeBell Lock. Cody taps. Winner, by submission and advancing in the tournament, Daniel Bryan
Joe: Damn, Bryan lost his cool there.
Excalibur: The stakes are high in both GWF World Championship Tournaments. Let’s see the current card for Title Wave before we call it a night!
Joe: Don’t forget to mention that we got word both Manders and Zicky Dice have qualified for the One Shot Gauntlet due to the interference of ‘Mean’ Mark Callous.
Excalibur: That’s right! We’ll see you next week!.

GWF Quake
Season 9 Episode 4
Ocean Center
Daytona Beach, Florida
[The opening credits play. We see Daniel Bryan hitting a running knee. Becky Lynch applying a disarmher. Seth Rollins taking someone out with a stomp. Asuka applying the Asuka Lock. The camera then pans around the arena before focusing on Excalibur, Samoa Joe, and Beth Phoenix.]
Excalibur: Good evening everyone, and welcome to the last Quake before Title Wave!
Joe: Tonight, in the men’s division we will see Kevin Steen take on Keith Lee to find out who will face Daniel Bryan for the Men’s World Championship. We will also see a Triple Threat Match between Scott Dawson, Fenix, and Jey Uso.
Excalibur: Not to mention our final One Shot Gauntlet Qualifier.
Phoenix: We’re opening tonight with our second Women’s World Championship Tournament Semi Final to determine who faces Candice LeRae at Title Wave. Let’s head to the ring now.
[The crowd boos as Bayley and Sasha Banks make their way through the curtain. They hug on the stage, and the crowd hates it. Bayley then motions for Sasha to return to the locker room.]
Phoenix: Wow! I have to admit I’m impressed. Bayley is going to fight this one on her own.
Excalibur: I guess she has more respect for Becky Lynch and the GWF Women’s World Championship than we realized.
Phoenix: It certainly seems that way.
[The crowd pops big as Celtic Invasion plays! Becky Lynch walks through the curtain when she is ATTACKED FROM BEHIND BY SASHA BANKS! The crowd boos. Sasha is putting the boots to her, but when she picks her up by their hair, Becky throws her off the stage!]
Phoenix: Of course that is what Bayley and Sasha were up to all along!
Excalibur: I wish I could say it here surprising, but it’s not.
GWF Women’s World Championship Tournament
Semi-Finals: Singles Match
Bayley [w/Sasha Banks] versus Becky Lynch
The official is offering to call off the match, but Becky refuses to call it off. Bayley jumps her as soon as she calls for the bell. Bayley delivers a series of forearm shots to the shoulder. She throws her over the middle rope and begins to deliver a series of knee strikes to the shoulder. The official pulls her off, and when Becky comes back, Bayley brutally kicks her in the head. She then applies an arm bar wrenching her arm joint and damaging the injured shoulder. She then whips the arm back causing the shoulder to slam into the mat. She picks her up by the hair and delivers a bodyslam onto the mat. The official starts to chastise her for pulling the hair, and she backs away from Becky a bit. She then drives a knee into the shoulder as Becky is beginning to get up. Bayley wrenches the arm back and yells “Who’s The Man now?” The crowd absolutely hates her. Becky gets to the ropes causing a rope break. The official gets to four before Bayley actually breaks the hold. The official yells at Bayley, and when she gets in her face, Sasha comes down and pulls Becky to the floor throwing her into the stairs. Bayley turns the referee around and tells her to count Becky out. The official gets to nine, and Becky crawls back into the ring. Bayley stomps on her a few times before pulling her up by the hair. She delivers a Bayley to Belly. She goes for the pin. BECKY KICKS OUT! Bayley is furious. She gets up, and she pulls her own hair and is stomping around throwing a fit. The Man gets up and catches her with a double leg takedown. She begins hitting her with rights and lefts under the shoulder pain causes her to switch and only use her left arm. The official has to pull Becky off, but she then sentons Bayley dropping all of her weight on her. Becky hits a series of strikes, and the tide of the match has totally turned. She hits her springboard side kick in the corner before pulling her out and applying a cross arm breaker. She’s not able to keep it locked in due to the shoulder, so she goes for the pin. Bayley kicks out. Becky rolls her over and applies the Disarmher. SASHA PULLS THE REFEREE OUT! They are arguing on the floor when the referee EJECTS SASHA! Banks argues with her, and the referee keeps pointing back to her shirt. Meanwhile, Bayley pulls a CHAIN out of her tights and DECKS BECKY! Sasha begrudgingly exits as Bayley pins The Man. The official slides back in and counts to three!
Winner, by pinfall and advancing in the tournament, Bayley
Roberts: Your winner, by pinfall-
[Bayley snatches the microphone from Roberts.]
Bayley: Where is it? Where’s my belt? Go get it!
Phoenix: What’s she talking about? The title match isn’t under Sunday.
Bayley: Sasha, go find me my belt. There’s a new man in town. It’s me. GET THIS TRASH OUT OF MY RING. I am GOING to win the GWF Women’s World Championship. You might as well hand that championship because there is no way in HELL Candice LeRae is going to beat me. Because Candice LeRae is me, but she’s not the real me. She’s the dollar store bargain basement version of me. She’s the me that never grew up. Don’t get me wrong. She has a lot of heart. She’s a capable athlete, but when it comes down to it, she’s going to crack. She is going to break when it comes down to it. Candice, you’re too nice, and while you have the adoration of a bunch of idiots, I will be GWF Women’s World Champion!
[Bayley drops the microphone before rolling out of the ring. The crowd boos as she makes her way up the ramp.]
Excalibur: So there we have it. The Women’s World Championship Match is set.
Phoenix: That’s right. Candice LeRae will go head to head with Bayley.
[The crowd pops as Kingdom by Downstait plays. Cody Rhodes makes his way through the curtain in a tailored suit.]
Excalibur: I don’t have Cody on my format, do you?
Phoenix: No. I don’t.
[Cody enters the ring and asks for a microphone.]
Rhodes: Last week, I lost one of the biggest matches of my life. I lost my opportunity to follow in father’s legacy and become GWF Men’s World Champion. My first thought was to get back on the first plan to Georgia and sulk in my failure.I thought this was going to be the time when I achieved the most prestigious prize in the game.
Title Wave is this Sunday, and up until earlier today, I didn’t have a match at the pay per view. I went into Eric Bischoff’s office, and I demanded a match at the pay per view. He agreed to give me an open contract against anyone who wanted to accept my challenge.
So here I am. I’m waiting. Who’s going to accept my challenge?
[The crowd is shocked when Loyalty is Everything plays.]
Joe: Wait, what?
Phoenix: Is that the right music?
[It is. Shayna Baszler walks through the curtain. She silently walks to the ring. She takes the contract out of Cody’s hand and signs it.]
Excalibur: Cody Rhodes versus Shayna Baszler at Title Wave?
[President Eric Bischoff walks on stage.]
Bischoff: Hold on. Sorry. Cody, I should have specified. Guys, you can’t just do this. We have sponsors and investors, and they’ve been very clear they don’t want men fighting women. But I’ve got a solution. Shayna Baszler, your name is on the contract, so how about this? Shayna Baszler is going to serve as the Special Guest Referee when Cody Rhodes faces this man!
[End of Days plays, and Baron Corbin walks through the curtain. The crowd boos. Corbin comes down the stage. He enters the ring and rips the clipboard out of Baszler’s hands, laughing. Shayna takes it back. They struggle over it. Cody goes towards the ropes and yells “Duck!” He hits Corbin with the Disaster Kick.]
Bischoff: Now that’s good television! At Title Wave, it’s going to be Cody Rhodes versus Baron Corbin! With uh, Special Guest Referee, Shayna Baszler!
[Baszler exits the ring shaking her head at Bischoff who has a shit eating grin on his face. Cody picks up the contract and gives it to Bischoff. Corbin hangs his head in embarrassment as he drags his feet up the ramp.]
Joe: Well, there’s a match I was not expecting for Title Wave.
Excalibur: Shayna Baszler didn’t look too happy about the role of special referee, did she?
Joe: Well, she’s a fighter. She wants to fight.
Excalibur: And President Bischoff has made it perfectly clear that she will not be allowed to fight the men.
Roberts: The following contest is a triple threat match!
[The crowd boos as Southern Pride plays, and Scott Dawson comes through the curtain.]
Excalibur: Half of the participants in Sunday’s TLC match are competing in this one. Interesting stipulation made privately by Commissioner Bischoff.
Joe: That’s right. All three partners who aren’t participating were asked to leave the building, and possible removal from the title match.
[The crowd pops as Done With That plays, and Jey Uso makes his way down to the ring.]
Joe: Well, uh, Jey Uso technically was in action last week.
Excalibur: That’s right. He switched spots with his brother to help guarantee victory.
[The crowd pops as Lucha Bros plays. Fenix comes out.]
Excalibur: I’d argue Fenix has the most prolific singles career of any of the men involved in this one.
Joe: Oh absolutely. He’s going to have a definite advantage there.
Triple Threat Match
Scott Dawson versus Jey Uso versus Fenix
Dawson waits for the bell to ring before announcing he is a tag team wrestler, and he doesn’t wrestle in singles matches. He gets out of the ring, and he pulls out a steel chair which he sits in. Fenix and Uso shrug and start to circle around each other. They lock up, and Fenix applies a headlock. Uso shoots him off the ropes, and when Fenix comes back, Uso ducks it. Suddenly, both men slide to opposite sides of the floor and hit Dawson with kicks from both sides. They throw Dawson into the ring. They both hit him with a flurry of offensive. Fenix comes off the top with a big splash before they throw Dawson to the floor. Fenix and Uso go head to head again. Fenix gets the advantage over Uso. He works him over in the corner before setting him up for a big move. He hits a splash off the top rope on Uso. Dawson grabs him by the ankle and drags him out of the ring. He gets into the ring and pins Uso with a handful of tights.
Winner, by pinfall, Scott Dawson
Excalibur: Dawson steals one!
Joe: That could very well happen Sunday.
[The camera cuts to the back where President Eric Bischoff is sitting in catering. Becky Lynch walks in.]
Lynch: Did you see it!? Did you see that, Eric?
Bischoff: Becky, I’m trying to eat. Can you contact my assistant-
[Becky knocks over the table.]
Lynch: It’s ridiculous! I was robbed! What are you going to do about it?
[She begins to throw chairs around. She knocks food off the table. A staff member comes near her, and she pushes them to the ground.]
Bischoff: Becky, it looks like you want to fight.
Lynch: I want my damn title match, but I guess a fight will do!
Bischoff: Great. See, I’ve got this philosophy. Sometimes, two problems have one solution. See, your behavior back here in catering, that’s a problem. Asuka’s behavior last week was a problem. So at Title Wave, it’s going to be ‘The Empress’ Asuka against ‘The Man’ Becky Lynch in a No Disqualification Match.
Lynch: Fine by me, and when I’m done with her, you best put me in line for a title match.
Bischoff: Well, I-
[Becky walks out of the shot leaving Bischoff looking frustrated.]
Excalibur: Now that’s going to be a big fight at Title Wave.
Joe: Exactly. Don’t even call it a match. It’s going to be a fight for sure.
Excalibur: Right now, it’s time we send it to the final One Shot Gauntlet Qualifier.
Joe: This time we head to The Odeum in Cleveland, Ohio to see Dominic Garrini go head to head with Dr. Daniel C. Rockingham.
Joe: Holy crap!
Excalibur: Dominic Garrini very impressive. I can’t wait to see him join Manders, Zicky Dice, Christian Cassanova, and Air Wolf in the-
[Seth Rollins jumps over the barricade and takes Excalibur’s headset.]
Rollins: Bischoff, I’ve been looking for you all day. I’m tired of looking for you. I don’t care if a contract is signed. I don’t care if it’s unsanctioned. ‘Mean’ Mark Callous, you want to come into MY GYM and put your hands on MY TRAINEES in MY HOMETOWN. You’re asking for a fight.
[The lights go out.]
Rollins: What the hell? Bischoff is this your idea of a-
[The lights come back on. THE URN is sitting in the middle of the ring.]
Rollins: Callous, what the hell is that thing!? Are you here now? We don’t have to wait until Sunday!
[Rollins slides into the ring and stares at the urn. The lights go out again. When they come back on, the urn is gone, and Rollins is lying where the urn was.]
Rollins: Damn it! What’s going on here?!
[In the background, you can see a cloaked figure holding the urn exit through the crowd. Rollins runs up the ramp looking furious.]
Joe: Rollins is a man possessed.
Excalibur: I’ve just been informed via headset that as long as certain conditions can be negotiated...That match will happen this Sunday!
Joe: What?!
Excalibur: More news as we get it.
Roberts: It is now time for your main event!
”Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned, or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.”[/i]
[The crowd boos as Kevin Steen walks through the curtain accompanied by Jon Moxley. Both men are carrying baseball bats.]
Joe: What the hell do they need baseball bats for?
Excalibur: Hard to say, but they have made it extremely clear they are going to do whatever they want.
Joe: I can’t be the only one who thinks they shouldn’t be allowed to do whatever they want. He barely avoided getting DQed when he beat Gargano in the first place.
Excalibur: If he gets disqualified tonight, he will not be in the main event of Title Wave. He may not even have a match at Title Wave.
[The crowd cheers as Limitless plays. Keith Lee comes through the curtain to a big ovation.]
Joe: I am going to be completely honest. I don’t think a lot of guys expected to see him in the finals.
Excalibur: He got what was somewhat of an upset against Seth Rollins.
Joe: He’s got a bigger test in front of him now.
Excalibur: He most certainly does. Especially when you consider Kevin Steen will do whatever it takes.
GWF Men’s World Championship Tournament
Semi-Finals: Singles Match
Kevin Steen [w/Jon Moxley] versus Keith Lee
The official tells Steen he won’t start the match until he gets rid of the baseball bat. Steen points the ceiling with the bat like he’s Babe Ruth. Keith Lee walks over and takes the bat right out of his hand. Steen calls for Moxley to hand him the other bat. They both swing at each other, but the bats collide. Lee knocks the bat out of Steen’s hand and points right at him Sting style. Moxley grabs Steen’s bat and jumps on the apron.
