www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/ek5jb6/wor_meltzer_bushiroad_wants_to_offer_kairi_and_io/This obviously would not be good news for WWE if they lose both (although Io has over a year left on her contract so her leaving would be a ways off). Losing both would take away 2 of the best workers in the women's division, lowering the amount of elite workers the WWE has. The WWE hasn't really done well in making it very appealing to stay for either. Kairi got a pathetic reign as NXT champ, and did nothing for the 6 months on the main roster. While Io has been giving quite a bit of a showcase she really hasn't won anything significant, and has been pushed aside as the star of division in favor of Rhea. I think this is the downside in signing wrestlers who were so firmly attached to their Japanese promotion like Io and Kairi were to Stardom. In Japan businesses are like families, with bosses like Rossy Ogawa being like father figures to their employees. Signing talents like Asuka seems like the smarter choice as of they have no real ties to any promotion there are less people trying to get them back. This is especially a problem now that Stardom is owned by a big company like Bushiroad.

They may get Io but I doubt will get Sane. Sane run with Asuka is doing pretty good and I do not think WWE will let her go easy. Io since she is not main roster they may not fight that hard for.

Or they could sign Io's boyfriend, EVIL ala Kushida/Shinsuke if he has at all any interest in going full time to the States. He wrestled in ROH and GFW so it isn't so outlandish just a matter of if he wants to come over or stick with what is working in NJPW.

It would be absolutely devastating to my interest in WWE to lose either or both of them. After a bit of a slow start Io has been absolutely brilliant, basically singlehandedly responsible for all the highlight moments from 2019. I imagine they can solve the getting paid less for more work issue pretty easily but if she's unhappy living in the US (and I mean fair enough, Florida does sound awful) there's not much that can be done.

She can be bumped to the main roster just is the extra money worth the weaker booking on say SD?

Rumor is Io will be brought to the main roster now to retain her. Add her to the Kabuki Warriors and push them to moon. Make them one of the most dominate trios WWE seen in a long time. Be a great way to sell matches too. Top girls may have beaten Asuka, but at least on TV she will not have to get beat down every week if Sane and Io are always there to protect her leading to matches with them banned from ringside on the PPVs.

I don't think Io needs Kabuki Warriors per say since her heel character is really good on it's own but I also know Vince and Co. will stick her with a manager like how they did Zayn with Nakamura so you'll probably see Paige or hell Zayn do the mic work for her since they won't trust her English sadly.
But if they can find a 4th Japanese born lady, Four Horsewomen vs Team Japan at WM if Rousey isn't back by say Feb......

Not sure why people want Io alone so bad. If WWE cannot book 90 percent of the girls on TV regularly, send Io out alone and you will only see on TV losing three minute matches to Becky.

I would really hate to see either one leave, as both Io and Kairi are two of my faves currently in the WWE. Having said that, I also wouldn't blame them for wanting to leave either, I just hope it doesn't happen.

I’d be upset to see Io brought up to just be shoved into the Kabuki Warriors. She’s got a totally different feel going on and part of the heel turn was that she doesn’t need anybody or any friends. I wouldn’t mind seeing some loose respect/alliance but I’d hate to see her as a full time Warrior.

How on earth if Sasha and Charlotte do not have stories right now do you expect Io to get one outside of the Kabuki Warriors? Call her up outside of the Warriors and she will be doing 2 minute jobs until she ask for her release.

Reports are Io does not like her NXT gimmick or how she is being used. So people will get their wish it looks like with her not joining the Kabuki Warriors and she will just be returning to Stardome.

Both already won nearly every title Stardom has multiple times. Both are on the rise in the WWE and they probably both are just saying they are unhappy so when time for the new contract comes up they will be offered a ton of money to stay which should fix the less money issue with Kairi.

It really seems like this is just a stupid assumption/rumor started by Meltzer, that other sites smaller sites are using because they have no sources. Literally sites are just reposting what he said days ago, and acting like it is new news. Again Io is still under contract for over a year.

Would suck as I'd much rather it be Io in Rhea's spot.

Yeah Meltzer totally make up Io being unhappy. I mean she works more dates in NXT, for less money, without the star power or backing she had in Japan and cannot see her boyfriend as much. What is there is not to love about her situation?

I was contesting your point about her not liking her gimmick or her booking which you have zero evidence of/. I posted evidence in Io's own words supporting the idea that she likes her gimmick . and had some input on it. You are relying on Meltzer's assumptions and second-hand sources
