I mean, to be fair, it may have been cowardice but it may not. Being afraid isn't always a bad thing. If they have families to support and are trying to make a living, why risk your career over righting some minor injustice? Sometimes it's just not worth it. If that were the case, it can make sense to hold off on it until you have decent protection. Sometimes being a social justice warrior and "doing the right thing" right away doesn't always lead to the best positive outcome overall. I guarantee if Tessa was friends with Chelsea or Priscilla or Sienna none of this comes out. This came out because they waited to jump at this career defining moment(Whether Impact is a joke or not) for someone over someone they don't like. To me it's opportunistic. If they were good enough IMHO they'd still find employment. People act like the Blanchard's still have pull like this is the 1970's in the South. If you have a major promotion next to your name(Which Impact is/was) you will find gigs. I doubt Tully is telling these women don't ever open your mouth about my daughter or else I am breaking your knees and I doubt back in 2017 that Blanchard had pull that it's her or the highway. Shame because I was all for Chelsea Green's relaunch in NXT with Robbie E but now she's just gutless to me. She chose to air it out on social media for positive praise.

Who's afraid of Tessa Blanchard? And unrelatedly... Who's afraid of Virginia Woolf? Stop trying to defuse situations where I am disagreeing with someone! I strive on conflict! FEED ME MORE.

Fuck Tessa Blanchard and fuck her "moment." She should have tried not being a racist. And also, fuck every person here saying "Uhhhh why didn't they say something sooner? Why are they choosing now to speak out? What do they have to gain?" Go fuck yourselves. That kind of reaction is why people are scared of speaking out in the first goddamn place. Fuck off. Holy hyperbole. Yeah fuck someone actually confronting the problem off the start if they truly felt what was wrong is wrong. If she was such a bully and jerk to so many female wrestlers, why did it take so long for this to now surface and for the said wrestlers to now speak because they have protection by being in a company now? It's cowardice, you can call it what you want. Awesome Kong didn't like how Bubba the Love Sponge was talking all that smack given he had Hulk Hogan's green light back in TNA and she popped him cold and took her exit from the company like a grown ass woman. When Samoa Joe did a shoot on Scott Hall not showing up to a TNA pay per view, Kevin Nash still wrestled in the match but asked him in the back who told him to say those words? Joe said it was his and Nash slapped him twice, one for him and one for Scott. That's how you handle someone out of control in your eyes. Not waiting for a moment like a snake in the grass to mention something passing followed up by "ITS NOT MY STORY TO TELL! But I am so offended by it that I wanted to take a shot at someone i don't like!". That's called riding on someone's tragedy to hit on your personal gripe with someone. And witch hunts and cancel culture are why suicide rates keep on climbing in today's society but hey don't let that interfere the prerogative! I'd have more respect for these people coming out with these stories if they either did something about this or did bring this up but was completely disregarded but they instead protected their pockets and kept it within until the time was right. It's pathetic. Hey, like I said, fuck you.

Given all this went down after her very short NXT run, does not shock me. Never understood why WWE passed on her, given her family her talent and connection to the four horseman. This attitude seems to give the clear answer. Find it funny people are acting like this will be the first time a woman won a major men's title when CHIKARA did it years ago with Princess Kimberlee. And right now TNA is about as big as CHIKARA was then. Because despite TNA/Impact falling a lot over the years people at least knew of them existing. The average wrestling fan hasn't even heard of Chikara. It is like comparing a has been to a never was.

I see the new decade hasn't changed Blindy's terrible takes.
This is all very disappointing as I really enjoy Tessa's wrestling and generally tended to believe that her "attitude problems" were a bit of a beat up and something she had/would grow out of. These actions obviously cannot be defended, and perhaps equally as bad is her choice to fight back and deny rather than owning up and apologising. I have some sympathy for Impact as a promotion as they were backed into an unwinnable corner as far as their booking was concerned, but the group message on Twitter was also ill advised and unfortunately has me thinking quite a lot less of some people who I was also big fans of.

I would be worried if something similar happens to someone like Becky Lynch, if she ever competed for the WWE/Universal title.

Please don't misconstrue what I have been saying here @admin . Nowhere am I defending Tessa Blanchard on what she said, it was as disgusting in 2017 as it was in 2020 if this was indeed true. Just save me the high praise for the women who called her out on a random tweet she made that didn't seem intended for anyone just because they may not like her personally. It's not brave what they said or noble, especially if they brought up this story where the offended wrestler(La Rosa Negra, who isn't even black which makes Tessa's comment all the more stupid) came out and said she didn't want this to come to light and wanted to just move on before Sienna decided to make this her story to tell just because she doesn't like Blanchard.

You need to put yourself in Sienna's place. Here is this girl you know bullied people, made people miserable, got promoters to cancel bookings and has the worst attitude that is about to win a major title. Then you go on twitter and see her with a stay positive good things will come post. You know damn well, that many people would have had good things if it was not for her. You get pissed off. So why now? Because this was the moment that Sienna decided to say fuck the backlash, I am not staying silent anymore on this.
People always ask why more people do not come forward with stuff like this. This is why. When they do, people always assume it for some insidious reason.
Also La Rose Negra is black.

She's from Puerto Rico but if she identifies herself as black than that's cool. i stand corrected. Has she cancelled bookings in the past? That I want to see or hear about because the Blanchard of 2017 was nowhere near as popular as the one now in 2019, she was just another Mae Young participant at that point who has family lineage(Not that it matters in this day and age). Now if Ricochet who was the far more popular wrestler of the couple of the two at that time opted to cancel bookings if Tessa were to I would get that but I've never heard any rumblings of that. She had 2+ years to speak up, all I am saying is I respect someone to do something about it rather than let it linger and than decide to just come out with it all the day before of said person's monumental career defining moment. If she truly wanted to damage Tessa's career with her own nastiness(Whether she's racist or a dumb then 21 year old I wouldn't know but people are acting like she's Fab Moolah 2.0 the way you'd read the twitterverse hyperbole) she would have addressed it there rather than sit and watch her climb the ranks to being one of the best women wrestlers today.

It was rumored the reason her NXT contract fell apart was because of her attitude then later a fight with Ricochet at the performance center. She had a deal and was one of the biggest up and comers. I mean good look, solid in the ring, third generation superstar that many thought had a great future. Then she no longer worked and rumors of her attitude popped up. And these rumors keep popping up. A dozen or so people have talked now on twitter about her attitude. Maybe more did not follow things yesterday or today.
Also if the goal was to ruin her winning the title, they would have leaked this all two weeks ago. Made TNA sweat and change plans. Doing this the day before you know booking will not change. Tessa still won the title and had her moment. But this is not the moment she should have had. She should have been on Raw or Smackdown with one of the women's titles on the verge of headlining a PPV by now.

The Moose and Joey Ryan ones were maybe the worst, considering Joey Ryan fuckin' eviscerated Cornette (rightly so) for his racist joke that got him shitcanned from the NWA, but he'll defend Tessa because he's her friend. And Moose, well, Moose beat up his wife.

How accurate is this? This can be anyone posting this though. See this is where it gets tricky because this whole story is just he said, she said. There isn't definitive proof from any of these accusations. Just because you don't get along with someone does not mean they are a bad person. You don't have to like everybody you work with. The only real case I have brought up here is the spit/racial slur which I can believe but the other stuff I have not a clue on if to trust it or not. Just because it's 4 or 5 people bringing it up doesn't mean it's always the case. I just know speaking in these scenarios that I am surprised not one person confronted Tessa until a day before her biggest moment of her career. Sorry C, I just find it hard to believe a then nowhere near as significant 21 year old girl is shot calling and has enough pull to be disruptive to bully, belittle and attack older, more experienced women in the Indy scene especially in the day and age of social media for it to just come out now years later.

I am surprised Joey Ryan stood here since he's been heavily against racism, homophobia etc. He's also close with Priscilla Kelly so he's kind of going against her word/account by backing Tessa. Makes me wonder. Joey Ryan has went after Cornette in the past due to Cornette destroying his King of Dong style gimmick and the "Dick spot", Cornette just made a dumb mistake and Ryan went after it by trying to cancel Cornette but Ryan detests Cornette for more than his Sonny Kiss comments and the NWA folly. Same reason Austin Aries, Sami Callahan etc bothered to do something to him, because they hate Cornette's attacks on them.

Deonna knocked the taste out of Tessa’s mouth and it looked like a shoot in the battle royale that Faye Jackson was talking about.
There has been talk of her stank attitude since she first started jobbing at NXT and all the actual talent confirmations just validate those rumors. Who cares if actual talent are only really talking about it now? She got what was coming.
Also black and Puerto Rican are not mutually exclusive.

What is funny about all this, is Tessa is not actually racist. That is what is freaking baffling. Dreamer said it best about her, it makes no sense what she did, but the complaints from the past people are not seeing now. She was hot-shotted so hard, so young though, like Paige her mistakes of the youth are hard to put aside. The biggest story here may be not her racism, but maybe pushing people in their late teens and early 20's to the top may be a really bad idea. Her actions in Stardom were pretty much unforgivable. In addition to this, there was the 5 Star Grand Prix tour where Tessa was so hostile to Courtney Stewart, Stewart left Japan after the fight night despite having matches booked the second night. Rumors are Courtney started the fight but later in the tour, Tessa complained repeatedly in the ring to Kagetsu, a Joshi vet and tag champ at the time I believe, to the point where Kagetsu just stops working her at one point. Like literally will no longer work moves and does not sell offense and tags out of the match. Add the Rosa Negro stuff from the same tour and it is no wonder some girls that also worked this tour hate Tessa still. Sounds like she was a mess.

It's hard to draw our own conclusions when this is a matter of a bunch of people saying things we have no way of personally verifying. Who and what we believe depends on who we've decided is more believable for some arbitrary reason.
If what sienna says is true, then the statement now from tessa seems weak.
Suppose sienna is to be believed. Tessa admitting to saying the n word and whatever else might come off worse than her denying it even though the denial seems wrong right now. Perhaps in a year or more time when parts of the story have been forgotten, the permanent Twitter comment from tessa is her saying she doesn't tolerate racism, as a career move it seems better than admitting to that.

She would have been better off not saying anything more if she was just going to deny it again.
It's very hard to believe that this didn't happen. There's a lot of smoke around Tessa so it's not like this came completely out of nowhere, and Rosa really had no reason to make this up and indeed never really planned on making it public. You can be slightly cynical about why Allysin decided to talk when she did but there's really no reason not to believe Rosa.

Not to draw comparisons between different types of abuse but look at the Epstein scandal. Look at how long it’s taken people to speak out against that.
