I figured it was probably going to be getting picked somewhat early on but not within the first three picks. I guess it's more loved than I thought. I'm probably biased from the dozens of bugs that I see and am fixing every day.

Sorry, had the misfortune of westerns being probably my single favorite genre, and that being the epitome for video games. It just came down to if I was taking 1 or 2, and 2 being the most fully realized open world on top of the great story won out.

The stories are all lies. They have had horrible crunch time on almost all past projects, but RDR2 is the first project where that didn't happen as they made a concerted effort to change their ways and improve the process over the past years. It was successful and there was very little crunch for RDR2.

Then some game reporter got ahold of some old news from some former employees who were honestly speaking about the conditions back when they were still working there. He mistook it for the recent RDR2 project and/or twisted it for more relevance, posted about it, and that exploded all over the internet as damning evidence. RDR2 is forever haunted by the blood spilt in the making of its ancestors.

I am an engine programmer at Rockstar.

Red Dead 2 going number one is a bit of a suprise to me, but it probably shouldn't be. It's a tremendous achievement in terms of both story telling and the scope and depth of it's open world. It's rightfully pretty damn popular too.

RE4 is probably still a top 5 all time favorite for me. The pacing in particular is sublime, each encounter, stage, key item, boss, etc. It's all expertly placed throughout it's duration.

I am a perfectionist, so despite the achievements that RDR2 has made, I mostly think about how it could have been better and the missed opportunities to push it that much further into even greater territory. Perhaps it's only fitting that I didn't get to claim it as a draft pick, as my thoughts on it are largely critical. It sounds like RagnarokMike will appreciate having it more than I would ever be able to.

Plus I am actively supporting MP/DLC content for it so am constantly staring at it every day of my life, so some separation from it is also a good thing.

I entrust it to your care, Ragnarok. Do not disappoint me.

Now I have to figure out what the Hell I'm going to pick...

I knew RDR2 probably won't make it past 5 but I didn't think one. Resident Evil 4 wasn't on my radar at all bu it is a very solid pick. And after my pick I can say I never played more then 5 hours of any of the first three picks.

And Lionheart picks the first one I actually played and beat. I originally had three picks in mind since I was the third selector and that was one of them.

Two more solid picks, I really need to get back to playing FFVII, as I recently started another playthrough on the Switch.

With a few of my others being more low key, it was the top of my list for games I didn't figure making it 30 more picks.

I imagine my overhyping of this game may have influenced his pick. He is about to learn that VG&T as a whole does not share my inflated opinion of Final Fantasy 7. Only HilaryFan liked it as much.

At the very least, it was the only game I knew for sure would not be available later plus it likely earns me your votes later on.

WoW - Never really played it, but it's one of the most iconic and important games in history.

Half-Life 2 - Few games in history have had as much of an inpact on gaming as a medium as the Half-Life series. Even if some things are dated 20+ and 15+ years later, it's core gameplay loop is timeless.

SMB3 - It's flawless. I replay it every year. The best game ever made.

TLOU - Probably my favorite PS exclusive ever. Only 2 months away from the sequel, unless, ironically, it gets delayed due to the Coronavirus.

Goldeneye 007 - Such fond memories playing with my friends. Local multiplayer is missed. Giant Bomb did a hilarious playthrough of it on the highest difficulty, well worth a watch given the current situation we are all in.

Superman 64 - I know this is an unpopular opinion, but I didn't like it. A poor man's Nights. Which is also awful.

I think I saw a post on Facebook from him the other day...but then again, Coronavirus and all. I would love to hear his opinion on the soon to be released FF7 remake.

And @nighty surprised me with TLOU. I know he's into survivor horror but figured he'd rock with a Nintendo game or metroidvania game. Damn good pick man, ready for the 2nd one, just finished the first game like a month ago and it still holds up. 

I don't think I'll have a shot by going for quality, so maybe so bad it's good?

I'm probably out in round 1 unless I face Lionheart as I have a pretty solid record of beating him in round 1 drafts.

Oh I love it and plan on getting the remake on release give a take a few days depending on how slow shipping will become around then.

Logically WoW and Half Life 2 are amazing picks, but I think they may suffer not playing to the crowd. Really don't know which I like more between 3 and World. I probably played 3 more but probably had more fun with World. The Last of Us is a solid pick. Golden Eye while I played it and had fun with it I think the game is a little over-hyped. It could be because I didn't really do the multiplayer side until many years later. Superman 64 was uh... it wasn't... well it can't be worse then E.T.

I knew Ocarina of Time wouldn’t fall to me but I would like to personally congratulate @nighty on making me say “fuck” out loud by picking TLOU right before it got to me.

Still plenty of awesome games out there though and I’m more than happy with my #1 pick. I am excited to see how the lists end up.

Oh, are you the one who beat me in that draft? That shit was rigged. Probably.

I really enjoyed all the last four. Uncharted 2 was a masterpiece probably the game that changed it from a Tomb Raider clone to Tomb Raider being call an Uncharted clone. Mass Effect 2 was so amazing I wanted to buy it again to support an amazing company. Then Mass Effect 3 ending happened. And then Andromeda happened. FFX was the first game I experienced on my new surround sound set up I got for Christmas. To Zanarkand was amazing. And then their is pi's pick. I was sure he going to pick something random. Sees his pick "inserts Ron Simmons gif". I was so hoping that would go unnoticed until the next round.

Rogue picked Final Fantasy X right as I was about to pick it. But maybe it's a blessing in disguise, because I am very happy with the games I ended up choosing.

Yeah, a lot of the games I would have chosen went already, that's the luck of these things. Very happy I managed to get Final Fantasy X though, it's my second favourite FF game after VII.

FFX is awesome.

Well there is probably the last great Mario game I played. And Skyrim another game I was considering for my first round. Batman didn't cross my mind at all but of the new series Asylum was my favorite and the only one I beat. Never played a Persona for that long but did watch the Persona 4 anime. You should check out that opening if you haven't seen it cig ,

Last of Us, Super Mario World, and Uncharted 2 were my next'uns...win some, ya lose some.

I had a list of 4 I was going to choose from with my 2nd pick, Emperor was kind enough to cut that in half with his first two picks. Thanks.
