Yeah Kawhi gotta have structure to succeed and Doc didn't provide enough of it. Van Gundy I think would be a good fit.

Clippers are gonna have to do something that will keep Kawhi and George happy at this point. With the way Van Gundy’s best players have bridled against him you can’t bring him in when your two best players are on expiring deals and you have nothing to rebuild with.

I wouldn’t blame them for getting rid of Doc, but if they do it’ll be the guy sitting next to him that takes over.

I don't think it's a bad hiring. Most of OKC's problems IMO were due to Russell Westbrick. It is impossible to build a legit contender around him and the OKC's ownership simply didn't see it. They mistook, glaring, growling, and beating your chest as some kind of winning mentality and refused to see that Westbrick sucks complete donkey balls in clutch situations. Yet these idiots declared Westbrick their franchise player and insisted that HE be the one to have the ball in his hands at the end of games. Over KEVIN DURANT OF ALL PEOPLE. It is any wonder he left?

I’m actually surprise he actually chooses to go to Chicago when teams like 76ers and Pacers are more of a attractive teams which he could wait to see they hire him, or even New Orleans for that matter. 

Reason I have mixed feelings is because maybe I was looking to much into his playoff track record which he only get past the first round once.  But I do think he coaches his ass off last season.

No surprise really.  If this had been the first time one of his teams choked away a 3-1 lead he probably keeps his job.   But 3 other teams under Doc Rivers have done this, and two of those teams were Clippers teams.  Coupled with how heavy of a favorite this Clippers team was and no way Doc keeps his job.    Question now is who replaces him.  D'Antoni wants the Sixers job (why I have no idea)  and I doubt the Clips are going to give Ty Lue a shot, even though I think he would be a good fit.

Pacers didn't go for DAntoni and went with a low key hire for Nate Bjorkgren, a head assistant to Nick Nurse back in Toronto. Seems like a decent hire, I think it is better to go with a brand new fresh face rather than a retread for the most part.

And I was wrong, the Clippers ARE giving Ty Lue a shot after all. 5 year deal with Chauncey Billups as his lead assistant.

Stan Van Gundy is back as the new Pelicans head coach interesting hiring thought they go after someone like Atkinson or one of the assistance coaches.

It's baffling to me that KC doesn't have a team already. It's weird that the Kings left decades ago for Sacramento of all places.

Future expansion franchises should be Seattle and KC, then move Memphis over to the East.

EDIT: Fuck it, move the Kings back to Cincinnati while we're at it and I'll drop my Cavs fandom for a return of the Royals. Never gonna happen but one can dream.
