Not a big fan of Ashlyn Davis, seems sorta soft for Gregg Williams. Rather get a CB or OLB over a backup safety.

Well the last Florida DE the Jets drafted in the third round worked out well so might as well go back to it.

mikec do you know anything about AJ Epenesa? He played for Iowa. Not sure how much you keep up with the local sports ball.

Oh yeah Jochai Polite is such a beast. Practice squad warrior, will have to fight for a spot again with the Rams. Maybe he will actually show up on time. 

Like what I see with Zuniga, seems like a better character than that final parting gift by McCagnan.

He tore Dolphins 1st round tackle Austin Jackson a good one in the bowl game, watched it with interest in Jackson and Wirfs but man AJ took it to Austin Jackson. Dolphins fans probably hoping for a better result. Has no answer for what Epenesa was bringing.



Go watch that Holiday Bowl MVP performance, he put the work on Jackson.

Jets and Pats dealing again after that Dey Thomas deal last September. Not sure I like that Gase/Belichick connection at all.
Would be such a Belichick move to find the next franchise QB because of the Jets......A-GA-IN. I fully know Belichick did this hoping for gold here to stick it to the Jets and only give up like a 5th or 6th round pick :rofl:

Jets basically got the guy they wanted originally at Round 2 in Mims but got a comp 3rd due to the trade down and now that comp 3rd turns into 2 4ths and a future 6th in 2021(Which I think is the makeup for Dey Thomas trade).

SO we got 8 picks next year. 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 2 5ths(Thanks Gettleman), 6th, 7th? Douglas is the man. Two trades down and not done yet, way to work the phones brother. This is why you go after these Raven guys as decision makers, they are like magicians in the draft.

A few of my favourite picks from PW supported teams:

Jake Fromm's turnover adverse style of play makes him an ideal back up for Josh Allen.

Things I've read about Bryce Hall make him sound like one of the best value picks of the draft by the Jets. A guy with round 1 esque performance before injury is fantastic value for the fifth round.

Blindy posted about Zack Baun falling because of his drug sample but I predict this will be a Tunsil-esque situation where he ends up being a really solid starter.

AJ Dillon has to be the WTF pick of the draft. PFF didn't even have him in their top 250. You have to wonder what the Packers were thinking all the way through the draft, it appears to be a complete trainwreck for them from start to finish.

Braden Mann replacing LAC Edwards is bittersweet but it was for the better. Seeing Pat McAfee doing southern ridiculous accents reacting to Mann's 64 yard punt bomb was worth it alone, I know punters are frowned upon but especially if the Jet offense sputters, winning the battle of field position is so key. He has been compared to pro bowl perennial punter Shane Lechler who also went to Texas A&M and while that is ridiculously high expectations, if he's truly a fringe pro bowl punter, getting him at round 6 is amazing. Hope Edwards latches onto somewhere, really good guy and good story but he just doesn't have the leg ability to take it to the next level and this Jet offense relies upon winning the battle of field position and I saw too many 40 yard mediocre punts. Cannot flip the field. 

Bryce Hall had a nasty injury that lost him his 2019 year and there might be questions if he's ready to go but given the COVID-19 pandemic, who knows if we even have sports this year so he can rehab all he wants. The playmaking he made in 2017 and 2018 has me giddy and we NEED CBs since we only have Bless Austin/Quincy Wilson(Just acquired)/Pierre Desir as the major 3 CBs.

Baun getting mentored by DeMario Davis in NO is going to be huge.

Arryn Siposs is (hopefully) the newest member of the Aussie punting crew - UDFA by the Lions who don't have an incumbent. Unlike the other four/five currently in the league he actually played in the AFL here for a few seasons.

Lachlan Edwards doesn't have the biggest leg but I think he's been a very reliable punter for the Jets. NYJ were 4th in punting DVOA last season. I'd be surprised if he can't catch on somewhere else.

I normally would have a great laugh at UT's and every other Rodgers superfan's expense, but i couldn't do it. Trading up and drafting A QB in the first round? That was an absolute slap to the face. I'm starting to wonder whether LaFleur has some kind of beef with Rodgers we don't know about.

I think LaFleur wants to be respected as the Head Coach and leader of this team and doesn’t like this idea that it’s Rodgers team. Especially how the media has made up this feud between them.

Pretty happy with the class altogether, would have liked another WR somewhere in there but we hit on needs, got a lot of draft trade ammo including next year's 6th from NE(Or maybe it's back to us from the Dey Thomas deal?) . I am trusting Joe Douglas on his character assessment of Becton as he makes or breaks the deal. Love that we took a punter, unsure about James Morgan a rookie without this vital offseason due to COVID-19 being Darnold's backup, are we rocking 2 or 3 QBs? Mims is a legit fantasy option this coming year IMO. The Ash. Davis pick makes sense given Maye and Adams don't play much together due to injuries and Davis is insurance if Maye doesn't comeback after next year. The two gators, Perine and Zuniga are total 's but if one of the two end up doing something, preferably Zuniga, this will be a massive boon. Wish we were more aggressive for UDFAs but we got a Lamar Jackson and some WRs from UGA and WVU that have a legit chance. You figure it's Perriman/Crowder/Mims/Dotson(eek) with the news of Enunwa being out for the year, we need another WR badly there IMO. We have a good TE core of Herndon/Griffin/D Brown/Wesco as the FB hybrid but would like another weapon somewhere.
