1 - Liked 2 - Never beat final boss, meh to that point 3 - Liked 4 - Beat, no memories 5 - Beat, no memories 6 - Enjoyed a lot (played it after 7) 7 - Loved at the time, dunno if I still would today 8 - Never played 9 - Enjoyed it, but not the best 10 - Really enjoyed, but not on the level of 7 X2 - Beat, no memories 13 - Did 80% and got bored and quit 15 - The opening few levels did nothing for me and I quit playing
Ranking 1, 3, 6, 7, 9 and X are my favorites. The rest were either meh or unremarkable.

I played it around the same time as 6 in the Anthology collection. I liked the main villain of Exdeath a lot better then the entire debate over who was the best FF villain of Kefka and Sephiroth. Kefka is said to have achieve his goal. Well Exdeath achieves his goal as well. Sephiroth permanently kills off a team mate. Exdeath does the same and doesn't do it out of nowhere. And when younger I hated how the FF7 group doesn't really try to do anything to anything to reverse it. In 5 they party frantically casts all their restorative items not wanting it to be true.

Let's no argue which of the classic FF games was best...they all sucked. Sore loser. I lost nothing. I purposely gave you the match out of my magnanimous spirit. All my protests have simply been a guise to hide my generosity. Twas the pity I felt for your having suffered through so many early Final Fantasy games.

This discussion is actually interesting so I shouldn't mock. Here is my real list.
1. 7 2. 6 3. 9 4. 10 5. 1 6. 13 7. 4 8. 8 9. 12 10. 5 11. 10-2
Also played 2 and 3 but can't really stand either of them.
I replayed FF4 about a year ago and it went up a few places. FF5 is long overdue a replay.
No love for FF1 disappoints me. I'm referring to the PS1 remake, which is nowhere near as unbearable as the priginal NES version. Plus it has an amazing soundtrack, one of my favourites.

Of the mainline games I've played through... 1. IX 2. X 3. VI 4. VII 5. VIII 6. X-2 7. XV
I've played 30 or so hours of XI, and barely unlocked a sub-job which is early on. Also put a few hours into I but my PW team of Djm, Emp, CIG and Blindy keep missing their attacks. I knew I should have gone with X-Zero, Ragnarok, pi and Lionheart. Spin-offs 1. Tactics 2. Tactics Advance 3. Tactics Advance 2

I forgot about XV, I actually enjoyed my time with it and enjoyed it's spin on the FF series, it's just up against stiff competition and I haven't returned to it since all the DLC was introduced.
I don't think the spin-offs are comparable to the mainline series. It would be like throwing Conquest into a Pokemon list, it's apples and oranges.

You can’t rank them because you AREN’T MAN ENOUGH.

Where does the madness stop? Final Fantasy Snowboarding? Final Fantasy & Dragon Quest in Itadaki Street? Monsters of the Deep? Chocobo Racing? Not even GameFAQs consider FF and FFT to be the same thing and we all know GameFAQs is the oracle when it comes to gaming. FFT was so good, it's considered it's own franchise and since that suits my argument, I'm happy to go with that.
I'll pay tribute to FFT as penance.
The first game to make it's way to land of gypies, tramps and thieves was FFTA. As a fan of movies like Neverending Story, Labyrinth, Dark Crystal I felt FFTA would have made for an amazing family fantasy movie of the same time period. Everybody seems to hate the judge system, but I actually think they had the right idea, I just wish each jurisdiction had their own laws. If I was feeling lazy, I would just wait for the laws to roll over where none of my characters would be affected. Otherwise it's a nice introduction that's easy to wrap your head around.
10 years after it's initial release, FFT made it's way onto the PSP. It's a far more complex game than FFTA with a bunch of different systems in place, but if you can wrap your head around it you can make all sorts of game-breaking characters. While FFTA has a warm child-friendly story, FFT has one of the darkest stories in video games and Delita maybe one of the most interesting characters in all of video games. It does show it's age in some places, job progression for instance could be better.
FFTA2 made it's way over a year later and it was a solid enough follow-up. Basically every aspect that annoyed fans in FFTA was tinkered with to be less unforgiving and they added a few new races and jobs to freshen things up. I like it because it's largely more of the same, I just wish the story was on par.
I want another FFT game on the Switch. Dark Crystal Tactics just doesn't cut it.
