Just had a staff meeting today that went really well other than my boss saying that the CDC guidelines say masks are pretty useless but you can wear one if you want. CDC: What? :lol: They have them provided so I can wear them if I don’t want to fake smile at people all shift. :suspic:. People wearing masks are a pretty rare sight in my area, not that I’ve left my house much at all but I’ve seen maybe 7 people maximum in masks when I’ve been out. A far cry from the footage I’ve seen in the US of mandatory mask wearing and fights breaking out with non-compliance with people making it a political issue. I know pduh loves the anti mask brigade 😂 Are you required to wear a mask in your area and how do you feel about it?

We are required to in certain situations, but not overall. I don't wear one, but I carry one and gloves if I leave my house which is rarely.
This weekend we are going house hunting so we probably won't wear masks, but will wear a new pair of gloves at each location.
I'll be interested to see what our requirements are for returning to the office.

Work wise they started making them mandatory about a few weeks ago. Seems kinda pointless since we went 2-3 months without having everyone wear them. I don't see all my coworkers wearing them and as expected a lot of bitching about it. No offense to the carriers, but if anyone should be wearing them it's them.

Nowhere around here is requiring them yet but a lot of people are choosing to wear them. I don’t really go anywhere where I can’t do proper social distancing so I haven’t worn one yet. I’ve got a bandana handy in case I need it though.

I had no idea Mask Off was so prevalent.
I've had to work during this nonsense. Masks are mandatory for all workers in the state of Maryland. I've become accustomed to wearing one. In the beginning wearing a mask was super annoying and uncomfortable. So I'd slip it down from time to time when nobody else was around. Not gonna lie. Nor was I alone in this. But now I've gotten used to wearing one and half the time I don't even remember I have it on.
Masks are also mandatory in MD if you enter any store, place of business, etc. I've had to go grocery shopping and run a bunch of other errands. Out of all those trips I've only seen maybe 5 people in a store who were not wearing a mask. We're talking a 99% mask efficiency rate here. I didn't say anything to the non-mask wearers because I'm not a confrontational hall monitor wannabe. It was more like "Hmm. No mask. Interesting."
I take a lot of walks around my neighborhood. I never wear a mask during these excursions. I see a lot of people out on my travels. They also do not wear masks when sitting on their porches, cleaning their cars, having cookouts, cutting the grass, taking walks, etc. I've seen maybe 5 people wearing masks for this stuff. So like a 1% mask efficiency rate. The hot girl who lives a few houses away had like 8-10 people helping her with some sort of yard work the other day. None of them were wearing masks.

Again some common sense. 50,000 walk into a Bunnings ( Aussie hardware store ) on a Saturday. Across the street, another 50,000 people are lined up at the supermarket.
No one is getting sick. At least not here.
If we were picking up cases every day, I would highly recommend increased isolation and measures including masks for those free to roam, but it’s not necessary.

My masks are boring and generic. Just a standard white cloth mask provided by my employer.  Once or twice early on in the Coronapocalypse I broke out the bandanna, RT style. But even then I didn't wear any of my kewl fancy ones I still had lying around from my early-mid 2000s bandanna wearing heyday.

I found an old box of N95s in with all our old paint supplies But that metal clip pinches my nose, and the bands make the metal dig into my face So Wife made masks outta t-shirts, like someone straight outta Etsy Can relate to the N95 talk. EASILY the most uncomfortable mask I have worn during Corona-chan. Hated that thing. Wife seems very resourceful. You must have her transfer some of these skillz over to PI Jr. Or maybe even 🤯 Sr. Is she also good at drawing camels?

I wear my mask in certain situations such as when I go out in public, hold staff meetings, and etc.
I also am now trying to give my money to business that make it mandatory to wear mask inside
I make it clear with my employees that they need to wear mask when entering my office because if they dont that crossing the boss!
