The lawsuit is hilarious and I applaud his ingenuity in all but his selection of lubricants.
I know I'm old and not up with the cool kids but is watching people play games fun? I mean I get that someone can be funny or engaging and that makes the experience enjoyable, but just watching some random play a game you could be playing yourself, what's the attraction?
I know I'm a bit antisocial and have a low tolerance for idiots so feel free to use that in your response.
What I find really weird is we have these two parallel worlds: World one where women who don't play games demand more female characters and they can't be hot or desirable, can't wait for the new non-binary characters in CoD. World two you have a girl on Twitch with her rack practically out wearing cat ears making faces at her camera to make money out of the same demographic. One is oppression and one is female empowerment.

It really shows you how big of a deal male loneliness is. "Men" are literally donating 1000s of dollars to women through patreon, onlyfans and gaming platforms simply because they are so starved for attention that hearing a good looking lady say your name over a stream has them convinced they have a "connection", which is the only reason I can see these dorks getting off on it versus just straight porn or hiring a proper escort/sugar baby. I get the male virgin/incel rate is hitting critical mass, especially for the under 30 but fuck these things really depress me.

To answer iNCY's question, I occasionally watch streaming, but only if it's a game I like and the host is engaging in some way. Mostly I watch commentated speedruns, which is where gamers try to beat games in the fastest time possible while revealing all the secrets. They're not all good, but the great ones are really great.

It's because society has taught them that they're worth nothing, that masculinity is bad and in the hook up market unless they are a 9 out of 10 they're screwed... But not literally. The real problem is the promotion of sex over connection. If men just sought out female companionship in the real world and invited them out for a coffee they would probably end up with a long term partner. Instead they let the media program them into tinder and hook up culture chasing exactly the types of girls that would reject them. I know so many really nice girls who don't get a lot of attention from guys because they're nice girls not conforming to the hook up culture narrative. The world is crazy! [/boomer]

I watch a lot of streams. It is basically like the old days of playing through a with on couch with friends. Just with more friends. Generally for games I know I will not want to play but want to see the story of it works great. The people I want too tend to be pretty entertaining so you get their running commentary and antics on top of the gameplay.
As for the girls, there is a hardcore group of FPS girl gamers. Also there are a lot of trans people playing shooters. Game companies will ignore the feminist screams, but if they can make money off it and there is a market playing their games they can sell to, then they will take action.
Most girls on twitch play games or do art and chat streams. The sex streamers are a minority. And they are starting to struggle now for their base since actual porn actresses are using the site now. Sasha Grey took a lot of people from other streamers, which is ironic since she her stream is PG-13 and she does not use actively use sex to sell herself. Her other work is not allowed to be talked about in her chat. It is very surreal. The wrestling girls streaming now also are cannibalizing the sex streamer market.
