Tonight we crown a new champ to pick up where asuka left off.

Kairi Sane vs Ember Moon vs Nikki Cross vs Peyton Royce (all women have 2 names, heh)

My money is on Kairi but i could see Ember winning too. Only person i dont like is Peyton. We'll see what happens..

I would be fine with any of them winning, I can definitely see them putting the title on Kairi, but I feel it's now or never for Ember Moon. Either Ember wins the NXT women's title tonight at TakeOver: WarGames, or she isn't gonna get a reign during her time down in NXT, at least that's how I feel anyways.

Peyton is winning because she is the total opposite of Asuka. A cowardly heel.

Peyton winning would kill my interest in NXT women.

maybe Peyton didn't win because she's on the way up to the main roster. She's great, of all these women the only one that isn't great is Kairi and taht's because her gimmick is so lacking in depth. Get the iconic duo up to the main roster, now.

That was quite disappointing. It felt like if Ember was gonna be champion eventually, they should have pulled the trigger during Brooklyn with Asuka. She still just feels lacking in terms of character. Her gimmick is very mystique-embedded with the hair, contacts, moon stuff, but she is quite plain as a character outside of the Eclipse and the athleticism. Congratulations to her, though. I still think Nikki Cross or Peyton Royce would have made better choices for the winner.

I also kinda knew Peyton wouldn't win the moment they had Billie Kay decide not to go to ringside with her.

The finish also looked too contrived and ridiculous. I was half wishing for Asuka to kick Ember one last time and run with the title because NO ONE IS READY FOR ASUKA!

With Andrade Cien Almas now champion, it would be amazing if Zelina Vega (who we know can go in the ring) be the one to dethrone Ember Moon, especially since The Iconic Duo would likely be called up soon.

Really thought Peyton had this. Haven't had a proper heel in the division since basically ever. Charlotte started that way, but felt more like a hero. Same with Sasha. Nikki would've been cool, but felt like the LWS match would've been the time to do it.

I agree. The NXT Women's title is one of the best booked titles ever since its inception. It has not yet been hot-potatoed. Title changes have always been clean and all the champions have been straight out fighters. I thought having chickenshit heel like Peyton or a force of chaotic good like Nikki would at least make the title feel different for a few months, since Ember is going to have a hard time trying to outdo what Asuka and those before her did for the title, especially since she is still very milquetoast as a character (despite being an amazing in-ring performer).

The only thing I can really wish for right now is a quick title change. Ember now has her coronation. I wouldn't mind seeing her lose it through nefarious means just as quickly. Note that Sasha's reign (currently shortest) was at 192 days, so the title can use a bit of hot-shotting.

Plus no one would expect a title change on "free" tv. Seems only Takeover gets major title changes.

if they're getting called up, send them to Raw then split them. i like Billie way more than Peyton. she is awesome alone.

I thought that was the worst women's title match...ever on NXT? And that only speaks to the quality of NXT women's title matches but it was really disappointing. Maybe it's because it followed Dream/Black which was unexpectedly awesome and I wasn't feeling it. Also disappointed Ember Moon won. Yeah it was important for her character, but I really don't care for her and thought Peyton really deserved it. Kairi looked fairly awkward at times and it was probably unfair to put her into a four-way for her first Takeover.
