Just received a fraudulent charge on one of my credit cards from "Panther East". So there's a shady YouTube video about the charge, as well as some people on Reddit complaining about it. When it comes to data and security leaks, I am reminded of that Looney Tunes episode where Bugs Bunny has more holes than corks to plug the holes in his canoe ... and the canoe just keeps taking on water. 😂

Maybe it wasn't Looney Tunes; if not, it was something like it. 😆

Annual whinge about daylight saving time, work nights so I can soak up the day as much as like. Always messes with my sleeping pattern.

Glad I mentioned it at work as they didn’t even realise they’d need to close “early” tonight when it jumps from 1:59pm to 3:00am.

Daylight savings was always chaos for working overnight since there was always uncertainty when we went home and if we were working an extra hour for free. We have an overhead digital clock that requires a ladder to change. I can't for the life of me figure out how to fix the issue, but it seems to "change" a week ahead of schedule. So I gotta go up there, reset it just to redo it a week later. Everyone cries about the time, dude just deal with it for a friggin' week. I'm an old man with brittle bones.

It came on really sudden last night after eating dinner that tasted weird, so I think that’s why it’s food poisoning but I also worked with someone the other day who just recovered from a stomach flu so I honestly don’t know. It’s hard to say since the symptoms are so familiar ☹️ sucks regardless. I hope your daughter is feeling much better

Food poisoning (or gastro), plus massive migraine attacks, plus period starting. Throw my whole body into the garbage.
I’ve been really sick since Wednesday night, and when I’m sick I’m extremely emotional and needy - which my period also does. So poor System has dealt with a nut case the last few days.

I’ve also had to call in sick to work twice.
I hate calling in sick, I am the type of person who even on deaths door will still work just so 1)I don’t have to call in and disappoint people and 2) because I don’t want to disappoint myself.

The only time I ever call in sick if I think it will affect other people, or make me a million times worse.

I know I did the right thing by calling in for myself and especially for others, but I really hate myself for it.

Seeing a doctor tomorrow and hopefully I’ll get more answers and feel better.

There's a bad flu, cold and COVID going on here. Always happens when the weather starts changing and kids are back in soon.

I hope you are feeling better soon. I've always tried to work through sickness especially since I work from home, but this afternoon I was on the struggle bus so I ended up signing off 2 hours before quitting time.

Hit a deer last week. I didn’t hit a deer the first two decades of driving a car but somehow have hit two in the last 18 months. They totaled out my car so now I’m on the struggle bus looking for something new. I drive a lot and don’t want to spend a lot of money on a car that is reliable and will last. Those two things do not go together. Ugh.

I am so cooked

Just did a 2 day trip to Italy, got bumped from my connecting flight in Abu Dhabi because it was too tight even though I only had hand luggage...

So for 54hrs on the ground and I start my journey home... If everything goes well, this trip with be 67hrs of travel in total...

And it looks like I may not get the order.... Ain't capitalism grand 😅

I only listened to a handful of eps, but the two things I picked up on where :

- defining PW, what is PW?
- when will it end?

Maybe the man subconsciously had an end date in his head that never came. What has it been, 7 years since this site launched? That's a long time for anything, let alone a message board that exists in relative obscurity.

Got a flu and COVID shot today. The flu shot feels like nothing as always but the COVID really stings this year for some reason. Maybe it just hit a sensitive spot.

Gyro LC I ended up getting mine seperate this year. I took my kids for their flu shots and they asked me to go first so I did. Went about a week later for the covid shot and man did it hurt more.

Wife and I got both of ours same time too. I wasn't affected at all but my wife was knocked out for a couple days.

having had Covid three times I wouldn't get a shot for it again if it was an mRNA vaccine, but would be open to the flu shot.

I remember reading an article about a kind of business in Japan that exists just to check up on the elderly. There had been these old people dying in apartment complexes, and nobody would know until the malodor from the decaying carcass alerted the neighbors.

Both guys had jokingly thought he quietly passed away or was serving prison time. What drives a person to go completely MIA baffles me. Surely he can't hate all of us.

I've sort of put it down to failure to launch - as in the movie. I say that, because all his drop offs coincide with someone moving into the next stage of their lives.

He went MIA on the one guy ( the one who asked about him recently ) just after he was married and started having kids - and they had been friends for 10 years. The other bloke who asked about him last year, it was a similar experience - he just stopped communicating after he was married. He and I kept in touch, despite me getting married and he was part of my wedding party.. we saw each other every now and then after that, but it really was when my son was born, he pretty much disappeared.

OK, I'm using this as my own therapy session now.

That's right. No wife, no kids, no girlfriend, or boyfriend.

It was only after this conversation a week or so ago, that I twigged it was always around the time people started getting married/having kids.

So maybe, a lack of a relationship and lack of potential fatherhood might be the thing.
