THE DAZZ
*The Dazzling Wrestling Federation Presents…
“One Last Night to Shine!”
Live from the Quarantine Dome!*
Match One: Big Strong Boi vs Stone Pitbull
Tomohiro Ishii vs Tyler Bate
The Build:
Both men are coming off of losing efforts from the last show, with Ishii losing to Minoru Suzuki and Bate losing in an Ironman Match to Kenny Omega. Tyler Bate was warming up before his match with Omega when an irate Tomohiro Ishii stormed through the backstage area. Bate tried to calm him down, which only irritated Ishii even more. After a brief stare down, Ishii walked away. After the show, during another interview with Tyler bate, Ishii confronted Bate and challenged him to a one on one match, which Bate gladly accepted. This takes us to tonight!
Match Two: A Fight for Respect
Tetsuya Naito vs Mustafa Ali
The Build:
Tetsuya Naito, who has lost all three matches in his time in the DWF, has grown more and more Ungovernable than usual but a whole lot less Tranquilo. He wrecked a set backstage, spit in the faces of anyone who tried to interview him, and after his loss last week, attacked Malenko from behind and took him out with a Destino. He threw Malenko to the floor and was going to hit another Destino on the steel ramp, when Mustafa Ali, who would lose a match for Mr. Perfect’s I.C title later on in the night, stormed out and stopped Naito from doing it. As referees pulled them apart, Naito spat in Ali’s face, and exited to the back with a smile on his face. Later on in the night, Mustafa Ali would demand a match with Naito, a match Naito would begrudgingly accept.
Match Three: I.C Championship Ladder Match
Jason Jordan vs Big E vs Xavier Woods vs Chad Gable vs Mr. Perfect (C) vs Dean Malenko
The Build:
Mr. Perfect claimed that there was simply nobody good enough, nobody “Perfect” enough that could possibly take away the I.C Championship from around his waist. He said it didn’t matter how many people stepped up, he could beat them all. This, of course, only proved to backfire against Mr. Perfect, as an array of challengers in the form of both members of American Alpha, both members New Day, and Dean Malenko all came out to challenge and stake claim for an I.C title shot. Mr. Perfect claimed if they wanted a shot, they could have a Fatal Five Way, and he’d give the winner a chance to lose to him. It was then brought to Mr. Perfect’s attention that a decision had been made by the DWF Board of Directors that he would defend his I.C Championship against all five men in a Ladder Match!
Match Four: Battle of Eras
Kenta Kobashi vs Minoru Suzuki
The Build:
Though they have faced each other in singles competition once before, Minoru Suzuki had not yet achieved the legendary status that he now carries with himself today. After defeating Ishii at the last show, Suzuki laid out a challenge to Kenta Kobashi to face him, legend vs legend, so that Suzuki could cement himself as the greatest. Kobashi did not come out to face Suzuki, ignoring his challenge in favor of preparing for his tag match that night. After he and Misawa defeated the team of Triple H and Steve Austin, Suzuki would then interrupt a post-match interview, saying he demanded that Kobashi face him at the next show, so that he could end his career. Once again, Kobashi ignored his challenge, and walked away. Later in the week, during a promotional interview, Suzuki interrupted again, attacking various attendants and journalists, even going so far as threatening to break a journalists leg with a chair if Kobashi refused to accept his challenge. Finally, with his back against the wall, Kobashi accepted the match only on the condition Suzuki leaves and not attack anyone else. Suzuki feigned going to finish the job, only to throw the chair aside and walk away, knowing he had gotten into Kobashi’s head.
Match Five: Grudge Match
Kenny Omega vs Jon Moxley
The Build:
In a post show press conference, the undefeated Kenny Omega threw shade at Jon Moxley, who had failed in his conquest in becoming DWF Champion once again. This comment made its way to Jon Moxley, who then stormed the press conference and attacked Kenny Omega (both men with a violent history towards each other anyway). Both men brawled on the stage until they were pulled apart, with Moxley shouting that he’d kill Omega the next time he got his hands on him. In a later interview, Moxley demanded Omega face him in a re-match from AEW: Full Gear in another Unsanctioned Match. A demand that Omega denied. Omega said he was done with the weapons and all the tricks. If Moxley wanted to beat him again, if he wanted one more round, they would do it Omega’s way. One on one, no gimmicks and no stipulations. A straight up wrestling match to prove who is really the better man. Moxley, though not too pleased he wouldn’t be able to smash Omega’s head in with a barbed wire bat, accepted the match and it was made official. When asked for one last comment, Mox only had this to say: “Kenny Omega, the last time we faced each other, you stepped into my world and you couldn’t get the job done. This time, I step into your world. The difference is I still play by my own rules, and I will burn your world to the ground, bury you in the ashes, and beat you one more time.”
Match Six: Texas Bullrope Match
Triple H vs Stan Hansen
*Win only by Pinfall or Ref Stoppage*
The Build:
Two of the nastiest, meanest sons of bitches to ever step foot in the ring meet each other for the first time ever. However, it won’t be a normal match. It’ll be a Texas Bullrope Match, with both men tied to each other via a leather strap with a cowbell tied in the middle, free to be used by both men. Stan Hansen threw out a challenge to any man who wanted to face him, wanting any challenge he could get. Never scared of a challenge, and always wanting to prove himself as the toughest man in wrestling, Triple H accepted the match, even going as far as letting Hansen choose whatever stipulation he wanted, because the end result was going to be Triple H “kicking his ass.” Not intimidated by his threats, Hansen agreed to the terms, and that brings us to tonight’s Texas Bullrope Match!
Match Seven: Colossal Clash
Brock Lesnar vs Keith Lee
The Build:
As soon as it was announced that Brock Lesnar had been signed to the DWF and would be making his in-ring debut at “One Last Night to Shine”, Keith Lee (recently signed himself) made it very clear that he wanted to be The Beast’s very first opponent. Keith said that stepping up to Brock Lesnar at the Royal Rumble months prior was one of the greatest moments of his career, but he refused to live with the fact he couldn’t get the job done and eliminate him. He says this is a chance to rectify that failure. Keith says if Brock Lesnar didn’t learn his name the first time they met, he was gonna make sure he never forgets it. When asked about the challenge, Brock Lesnar put his answer very bluntly; “I don’t give a shit about Keith Lee or whatever failures he has. If he wants a fight, I’ll give it to him. I’ll beat him, brutalize him, get paid, and go home. That’s all I care about. I don’t give a fuck about his redemption.” The match was made official at a Press Conference, where Keith Lee looked dead into The Beast’s eyes, with no fear, and told him that he will “Bask in his Glory”.
Match Eight: Legendary Dream Match
Stone Cold Steve Austin vs Mitsuharu Misawa
The Build:
Two of the greatest legends not just of their time, but of all time. Two of the biggest stars in the business, with legacies spanning worldwide. Finally, the dream will become a reality as Mitsuharu Misawa, the stoic, hard-hitting, Japanese legend takes on the always aggressive, no nonsense, trash talking Texas Redneck in a match fans have always clamored for. Misawa was light on words for his scheduled match, making it very clear he had one goal and that was to win the match, though puttin over Austin and his legacy at the same time. Stone Cold, however, wasn’t as humble and kind. Austin said he’s spent his whole career hearing about some guy in Japan named Mitsuharu Misawa, who was having some of the greatest matches of all time. Austin said that he didn’t really give a rats ass about how many great matches Misawa has had and he didn’t give a rats ass about his legacy. The only thing Stone Cold cares about is getting in that ring, stomping a mudhole, dropping him with the stunner, and getting the three count. Austin said as far as dream matches are concerned, reporters can take their headlines and shove it. “Quote me on that”. After the press conference, Misawa offered Ausitn a handshake, but Austin only had two birds to show him, before walking off, jaw jacking with anyone who got in his way while he left the building.
Main Event: DWF World Championship Match
Hiroshi Tanahashi (C) vs The Undertaker
The Build:
After Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Jon Moxley to retain his DWF World Heavyweight Championship, The Ace then cut a promo post-match thanking the fans for coming and talking about what it means to him to be DWF Champion. He said he was going to be a Champion the fans and the company can believe in and would not back down to anybody who wanted to challenge him for it. As Tanahashi’s music played, he did some Air Guitar to the crowd’s delight. As he looked to exit the ring...DONG! DONG! Finally, lighting the ring right in front of Tanahashi, and the fire shot out from the turnbuckles. Tana backed up to the center of the ring, a bit shaken by what was happening, but still trying to be stone faced about it. Soon after the music of the legendary Undertaker, the Phenom itself began to play, and the crowd lost their mind as The Deadman made his slow walk down the ramp. Tanahashi remained calm and stone faced as Taker stepped in the ring. He removed his coat and hat, tossed it to the side, and both men stared each other down, neither man breaking eye contact. Finally Taker looked at the DWF title, and Tanahashi’s eyes followed suit. They locked eyes again, and Tanahashi raised his title right in front of Undertaker’s face. Undertaker then did his signature “throat slit” taught, signalling that he would be Hiroshi Tanahashi’s next challenger for the DWF World Heavyweight Championship!
