Second drive looked even better than the first, with the really slick play for the TD.

Andy Reid's play designs are just so beautiful. There's so much misdirection it just seems impossible for any defence to cover all the options.

Feel like the Ravens have to score on this possession or it might be over already.

They’re just not getting to Mahomes at all. I’m surprised by just how little pressure they’re getting.

I know this is a frequent subject, but man how bad are the fake crowd noises? The crowd just popped something big for a one yard Chiefs run.

Spent the first 25 years of my fandom watching a team that won a total of two playoff games in that time, frequently great on one side of the ball and hapless on the other. I’m just thrilled by the defense tonight.

That game reminded me quite a lot of Baltimore's playoff exit to the Titans. When they fall behind like that, they just don't have the passing offence capable of getting back into a game. Jackson had just 3.5 yards per attempt tonight which is astonishingly low and he's now 0-5 in his career when trailing by 10+ points.

The Chiefs had a great offensive gameplan to counteract the Ravens heavy blitz defence, they carved them up with a variety of screen plays. Mahomes makes everything look so easy, and how he has a genuinely good defence to back him up.

I was about to go all in on the Lamar hate last night and call him a frontrunner , then decided to wait until morning to see how he does in comebacks but you did the work for me and now I can officially call him a frontrunner. For all his talent and deserved love he gets - he still has a long ways to go before I consider him elite. You have to be able to pass the ball when defenses know you're passing and can't rely on just putting up gaudy numbers when your allowed to completely dictate to the defense and inferior teams. 

His last two games against actual good teams he was fucking awful. That should say something.

Just in time to comment on the game of the year upcoming to kick off Week 4.

This is the problem with run-first offenses. In a pass-first offense you can lead from in front and mount a comeback. The Ravens are so talented everywhere that they'll win 10/12 games however they play, but you wonder if Harbaugh would be smart working on a more pass-oriented attack. They may lose one or two surprise games when it doesn't work, but it has to be their best chance of success in the play-offs. The AFC is loaded at the top end, the Ravens need to adapt.

Couple of Titans test positive and it puts the Steelers/Titans game in doubt this Sunday. That sucks, hopefully both the Vikings and Titans players are alright and can recover if there are any positive outbreaks.

Some quick run downs since I’ve been watching just about every game or highlight.

1- Saints are going to end up rushing Michael Thomas back because they are 1-2. I know we had the same convo with Davante Adams last year but GB was killing everyone with Aaron Jones. Kamara is doing his thing for NO but the defense is not letting the Saints win games. I wonder if Sean pulls the plug on Brees and puts in Winston. I hope not.

2- The Rams got screwed. There is no reason Buffalo should’ve gotten that call or that win. That leads to my next point; although Josh Allen is putting up great stats this year and they’re 3-0, they are not a threat in the playoffs. Josh Allen has a real hard time closing out good teams and that’s all you’re going to get in the playoffs.

3- Russell Wilson is the MVP and it’s about time. This dude is killing it this season and Dallas has been so underwhelming in a division they should be running away with. The Redskins suck. The Giants suck. Carson Wentz is finished in Philadelphia. Dallas will win the division but there’s no reason they’re 1-2. They should easily be 0-3 if it wasn’t for Atlanta.

4- Speaking of ATL; how is that HC not fired? Quinn has got to go and he might if they lose MNF to GB. Ridley is a monster but that defense is trash. Their play calling is trash because their run game can’t close out games. He needs to fucking go.

5- The Chargers need to fire their HC too. Dude sucks. The fact he is even contemplating letting Tyrod Taylor come back as a starter shows his ineptitude. The fact that they couldn’t get a run game going against the worst RUN D in the NFL this week with Kelley/Ekeler shows how terrible he is. Yes the game script changed but not really. They were in that game the whole time and even though Kelley fumbled, they should’ve still been running the ball down Carolinas throat. No reason they should’ve lost. Mike Williams is a bust too. He’s on Will Fullers level of injuries and I think it’s over for him.

6- Patrick Mahomes is the KING. Lamar Jackson is a FRONT. Lamar is not a great QB. He’s a great threat as a QB but like Michael Vick he is not a championship QB. I knew KC was winning last night. Lamar is 21-1 against all QBs in the NFL but 0-3 against Patrick Mahomes. His receiving core is trash too. Mark Andrews sucked last night and Hollywood was shut down. Baltimore will make the playoffs but the Steelers are the best team in that division. Why? Because they got Big Ben who is a champion and a better defense.

7- Angry Aaron Rodgers > Angry Tom Brady. Aaron Rodgers is not letting GB win this QB drama. He’s keeping the job. If for some reason GB thinks it’s time to move on, then they can enjoy the bottom of that division. Chicago has turned out to be the biggest threat and now Nick Foles has taken over. I’m excited for those CHI/GB games this season although I think GB is the better team. Why? Angry Aaron Rodgers.

8- Last but not least; I love Arizona Cardinals football right now and hate that I have to be tortured by AWFUL Jets and Giants games every week. Arizona is a playoff team and I can’t wait to see Murray/Nuk work. PS- Bill O’Brien lost the trade in case anyone still had questions.
