Think the only game I looking to pick up is Persona 5 Royale. Down to 30 on the PS store. Maybe Control and Lobotomy Corporation on Steam depending on how deep the sales are.

Skipping PS5, likely will go PC this gen, then get a PS6 if there are enough Sony exclusive games to justify getting a new console.

I am absolutely spent, I've been holding off on buying games the past few months just waiting for this day so I went a little overboard.

I've been after the Fighter Pass for sometime, but then out of nowhere I'd impulse buy another game and put it on the wayside. I decided to make the splurge and just get both - I'm happy to splurge on the DLC characters for a game like this.

I wasn't planning on buying either Doom Eternal and Last of Us Part II today, but the deals were just too good to pass up. The key is that I'll have to play these within the next two months to get my money's worth. A couple of years back, I bought Monster Hunter World, God of War and Spiderman for 'good' deals and I've barely touched them. I could get all of them now for cheaper than what I paid.

Definitive Edition was a last minute decision, it was either going to be this or Final Fantasy VII Remake, but I figured FFVII will continue to depreciate while XC1 will hold it's value if not go up as stock scarcity increases. I've been after a console version of XC1 for at least 4 years now, I bought the New Nintendo 3DS version, but it just wasn't the same as sitting down and experiencing it infront of a theatre system.

I may not be done yet either. I'm considering picking up Dreams, Hades, Pokemon Thundra and the Splatoon DLC. I'm going to sleep on it and see what deals are coming up because in less than two weeks time I will be off to buy CyberPunk 2077 (unless the reviews are awful).

Strangely enough, SmackDown vs. Raw maybe my most anticipated game of the lot. I've been keeping my eye on it and holding off buying it on Ebay, just so I could score it alongside others. I came very close to picking up Def Jam Vendetta but convinced myself it's cheaper online. Now after all those years, I don't have to feel guilty for not buying the one PS2 exclusive SmackDown game.

Now I just need to go and buy Just Bring It since I traded it in to get Shut Your Mouth.

If you can get it cheap enough, Dragon Quest Builders 1 and 2 are fun minecraft like games on PS4.  Build up little towns minecraft style.

PS5 was picked up Black Friday and I jumped on 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, a well regarded visual sci fi novel that has been added to my backlog.

Hold the phone! Hold everything! Black Friday has been cancelled.

My $3 copy of SmackDown vs. Raw doesn't work! It boots up but once it has to load the menu it simply can't access the data. The CD is too damaged to progress any further. I've put my faith in a $7 disc on ebay. I'm hopeful this one works, but looking at the screenshot I'm putting all my faith in this dude's reputation and claim the disc works.

In the mean time, I bought myself another $75 worth of eShop vouchers to pick up the DLC for Splatoon 2 and Pokemon Shield. It was the last day of the 15% off deal and I got in just in the nick of time. I'm happy enough to pay for the Splatoon 2 DLC which is meant to be better than the main campaign, but feel a little dirty about Shield. Not only is it $15 dearer, but I was pretty disappointed in Shield's offerings. The main campaign was the worst I've played in any Pokemon series just absolutely no room to explore. I like the concept of the wild area, but the execution could use some serious work. I'm hopeful the DLC will at least add to the experience.

Admittedly, I just downloaded Pokemon Home and was pleasantly surprised. I was worried that they'd try and upsell me on premium, but the basic version more than does it's job. I didn't realise it came with GTS which was one of the biggest disappointments I had with Shield. Having one less convenient option was just another bitter blow, so to see it incorporated here and better has actually made me think twice about the game.
