They're gonna claim that there'll be 22,000 fans for the game. But do you think DeSantis will be pushing to get more fans in, because the Bucs are playing at home?

Blegh.
Hopefully we get a great game with the Chiefs winning. I really don't wanna see Tommy Tuckballs win a 7th Superbowl ring. On second thought, I hope it's a Seahawks-Broncos style blowout... Anything but a repeat of Rams-Patriots.
Brady really is lucky to be here. His team's defense and the Packers ineptitude won that game for the Bucs. I'm not saying that just because I'm a hater, but because his stat line really was god awful last week.

I'm not saying that just because I'm a hater, but because his stat line really was god awful last week. I loved the stat that he's 3-1 in playoff games when throwing three interceptions. Quarterbacks are obviously very important, but the general discussion surrounding NFL games absolutely under values the rest of the players on the field. With that said, it can easily be spun into a positive that Tampa are one of the few teams in the league that are really able to win in multiple ways. It can be Brady, but they've also got a functional running game (much better than Buffalo for instance who were always going to have to have a monster game from Allen to hang with the Chiefs), and their defence is great at generating turnovers. It's probably easier to say now than prior to the playoffs, but they always were arguably the most complete team in the league.

If Barrett and JPP can get to Mahomes, this game will be competitive and the Bucs will have a good chance of winning. if they can't this game should be a comfortable win for the Chiefs. Tyreek and Kelce are just too unstoppable if Mahomes has time to throw.

Eh, also one of the most mistake prone, poorly coached teams in the league. I don’t think TB will have the horses to hang, especially with how sloppy Brady has been with the ball this year. Even under the best of circumstances, with Mahomes under pressure constantly and Brady not having another 3 INT game, I’d still pick the good guys from KC.

The difference in mentality between Arians and LaFleur on Sunday was huge, with the Bucs aggressiveness at the end of both halves paying off huge with the Scotty Miller TD, and great playcalling to ice the game on the final possession (choosing to pass on third down on the play with the "controversial" DPI flag, and the clever endaround run with Godwin). From an offensive scheme perspective they've done a nice job of resolving some of the issues they had earlier in the season with the deep ball, running a lot more 12 personnel to sure up blocking, as well as using more pre-snap motion to create more advantageous matchups which is paying dividends.

It probably is harsh, but you’re giving them credit for things that should be expected of NFL teams at this point. Going for it on 4th down at end of half was a no brainer that they initially were going to punt on instead and then they benefited from an awful defensive call and got 7 when they should’ve been held to a field goal try. Our coaching the Packers on this day wasn’t particularly impressive given how they really were not running on all cylinders, and in 2020 I have a hard time celebrating that a team waited until week 13 to figure out that using motion helps their offense, especially when they were 32nd in use of it as recently as mid-November. Maybe they’ll try play action too!
The Packers are the only team with a winning record they beat this regular season, and it took three tries and three hundred broken ribs to beat Drew Brees and the Saints. I’m just not impressed with their completeness and it’s ability to win close games against good teams.

Fun stat from the Mina Kimes show this morning - the three best offensive performances by the Chiefs (by epa) in the last two seasons have all been playoff games.

Might need to update the OP - Bucs will be wearing white, Chiefs wearing red.
Teams in white are 13-2 in recent Super Bowls. Brady is 4-1 in white (2-2 in blue).

If you claim a one game streak then I can most certainly have Tampa's post-bye increased motion usage.

If you claim a one game streak then I can most certainly have Tampa's post-bye increased motion usage. That’s fine, because I have a coaching staff that needed 13 weeks (and how many years before that) to realize that maybe it would benefit them from pre-snap motion, especially with a QB like Brady.

Think this was a factor in their choice? Very weird they wouldn't wear home colours being the first ever team to host a super bowl and make it.

It's also the reverse from the regular season game which they lost - and means we avoid a repeat of that fairly awful visual of the Bucs red jerseys and the Chiefs red pants.

Time for my ramble and final score prediction!
Totally biased, by the way because I want money!
The Chiefs win the toss and elect to kick it as it lands on HEADS.
The Buccaneers completely dominate on their first drive as TB12 goes Vintage TB. A play action pass inside the 10 has Brady find his boy Gronk for the games first TD. They pass Montana/Rice for most TDS in postseason. Bucs go up 7-0 to open the Super Bowl.
The Chiefs first drive doesn’t go as well as we find out that the Buccaneers D is going to be a big problem for the Chiefs offensive line. However the Buccaneers can’t do anything on the next drive. The first quarter comes to an end with the Chiefs having the ball and TB up 7-0.
The Chiefs get back to business in a hurry in the second half with Mahomes hitting Travis Kelce for a TD. The game is tied at 7. The Bucs get into FG range on the next drive but Succop hits the upright and it’s no good. That’s all the Chiefs needed to take control of the game. Mahomes doesn’t take long on the next drive hitting Tyreek Hill for a bomb TD to put the Chiefs ahead 14-7. The Bucs have a 3 and out and give Mahomes the final drive of the half (which is dangerous enough considering KC gets the ball first in the second half). The drive ends with CEH getting into the end zone on a rushing TD.
The Chiefs go into HALF TIME with a 21-7 lead after going on a 21-0 run.
The Chiefs open the second half with the ball but the Bucs D shows up and stops this from getting ugly by forcing a fumble to CEH. That’s what the doctor ordered for Brady as the good field position puts him in an easy position like against GB. The Buccaneers end the drive with Ronald Jones steamrolling it in for a TD. 21-14 KC.
That will be the score going into the 4th quarter. 21-14 KC.
In the 4th quarter things get exciting. The Chiefs get into the end zone again as Mahomes finds Hardman for a TD. 28-14 KC.
Next drive Brady does his thing and finds Chris Godwin for a TD bringing this to a one score game again. 28-21 KC.
The Chiefs can’t get anything done on the next drive and Brady gets the big opportunity to tie this game. A deep ball to Evans with 4 minutes to go is picked off by Daniel ‘THE BAD GUY’ Sorenson. In hopes that the D can get Brady the ball back, the exceptionally great run D fails in the biggest moment as CEH makes up for his fumble and gets his 2nd rushing TD of the game by breaking free for a 50 yard TD run. 35-21 Chiefs.
Brady has 2 minutes left but no real shot. Some small dump off passes get them into the red zone but Brady lobbing one up to Gronk in the end zone gets picked off by The Honey Badger!
The Chiefs take 3 knees and win the Super Bowl going BACK 2 BACK. The throne is passed.
Chiefs win 35-21!

So many things running through my mind about how this game goes.
Tampa Bay could win a close one because the Chiefs O-Line is not going to be ready for this Tampa rush. Could be a low scoring game where Butkers miscues cost them. Butker needs to go perfect this game. Can’t be missing XPs in the Super Bowl.
A part of me also thinks an absolute shoot out where Brady and Mahomes live up to the hype. Thus making me look silly for picking the under in this showdown between the two best passing teams in the NFL.
Then there’s that part of me that thinks the Chiefs absolutely DOMINATE the Buccaneers like they were doing this regular season before Brady found Evans twice in the 4th quarter to make it look like a close game. Maybe the Chiefs win this one 38-17.
Whatever happens, happens. I want to win some money. I want the Chiefs to win. I want it to be a great game.

I can't back against the Chiefs in top gear, so Chiefs is my pick, but the Bucs are one of a very small group of teams that have the defensive line to disrupt and the playmakers in the deep part of the field. The secondary is an inconsistent group with a high ceiling, but if it all clicks we could have a big fight tonight.
I think Mathieu is primed for a big game. His ability to blitz effectively will be useful against a Bucs offense that likes time for plays to develop, and he's a great ball hawk against those aggressive Brady deep throws. He's my sleeper, not for MVP so much but as a standout player in the game.

That’s why I have this gut feeling this is a blow out win for the Chiefs. Mahomes takes the throne with force tonight.

The Bucs defensive approach is going to be very interesting. They have a defense very capable of generating pressure, the Chiefs offensive line is banged up. So do you blitz the greatest quarterback against the blitz? That's a very interesting dynamic to watch out for tonight. I think the Bucs might get brave. Or stupid, depending on how you feel.
