The #4 ranked Ohio State Buckeyes enter the season with Heisman candidate running back Eddie George seeking to make a big splash in the NCAA's first regular season that will feature a post-season to determine the 1995 National Champions. Team captain wide receiver Joey Galloway is also looking to make his name more nationally recognized this year as he hopefully helps lead John Cooper's Bucks with a strong outing in '95. This year's opening contest will feature the Scarlet & Grey hosting the unranked Texas A&M Aggies!

Elsewhere in the NCAA, Bobby Bowden and the Florida State Seminoles enter the regular season at the de facto #1 team in college football. PAC-8 powerhouse Colorado comes in at second, the Florida Gators of Gainesville, Florida rank at third and the much loathed Team From Up North somehow schemed their way to the #5 position in the Top 25 pre-season AP rankings.
