I don't understand the comments about lack of identity of AEW. Isn't it the place that tries to focus on in ring work, showcasing quality modern wrestling?

AEW's distinguishing characteristic is that it's based off of a YouTube channel. Fans don't consume it like a regular Pro Wrestling promotion, it's a more intimate relationship where fans feel like they're supporting friends and helping them realise their dreams.

They do, but to NXT's credit, they do this better than AEW does. And since they're up against each other I feel like people compare the two more than they should.

I wouldn't call WWE 'quality' or 'modern'. And I would suggest the bit that makes AEW's identity is that the wrestling is their core focus, whereas other places like WWE are focused on 'moment focused entertainment' and TNA is I don't know what.

Every match in nxt is the same and can be replicated by changing all the same people who portray the exact same wwe character and style. That's not modern wrestling, that' wwe wrestling.

Well I would (call WWE a show with quality modern wrestling), especially when you factor in all their shows like NXT and 205 Live.
What do you mean by moment focused entertainment?
If AEW was nothing but Pro Wrestling I would see it that way but this is the same show that just had a silly wedding angle. It wasn't like that was a one off either, AEW has had a ton of sports entertainment on it's show.

AEW is 100% a sports entertainment show, and either they don't know it, or they're lying when they say they aren't.

I want the story lines and angles to be good, but I also wouldn't be disappointed if they just kept this as a talent sharing thing and just kept putting on the best possible product they could with what they have at their disposal. They have working relationships with NWA and Impact still. NJPW enters the fold and now you have 4 rosters of talent at your disposal. We don't need a "who is better?" all out war. Maybe do that if Kenny Omega's plan is to win all the titles and become Wrestling Thanos, and a team of AEW/NJPW/Impact/NWA Avengers try to stop him. But really I'm happy if all they do is use all the talent at their disposal to put on some fucking awesome matches over the next few years. Yeah, I mean, we all know AEW kind of sucks with storytelling but if they can continue to put on some great matches then it will cover the weakness. RoH made this a sport nearly as they only had a few storyline I remotely cared about while they watched them but they did enough great matches were it did not matter. I mean if we get ZSJ vs PAC who cares if it is in a good angle or not, the match will tear the house down. And yeah, now with four groups I expect to see more intermixing and stables war instead of federation wars. Lots of weird teams that can be revived across feds. I also really hope that we see Omega vs the world, with the best talent of all feds taking him on. Every PPV should be Omega taking on the best of another fed ideally leading to Omega vs Ibushi non-title match at Wrestle Kingdom. To a lesser extent this should be the case for all AEW titles too. Turn them into real world championships by doing matches with TNA, AAA and NJPW. Also, it is really time for AEW to hire writers as well to plan out storylines and shows. Plenty of former bookers out there that can run shows. But this is a weakness that should be addressed. If they do these then they really need to have Omega and AEW side take some loses here and then. Because right night it is playing out just like how WWE would do things. There side would be dominate and make the other side look like jokes. Don't think many watch TNA but Swann looks incredible weak now. Omega snubbed him on his own show. Swann and MCMGs tried to attack the Bullet Club and got destroyed. Then team Impact lost against AEW.

Swann and MCMGs tried to attack the Bullet Club and got destroyed. Then team Impact lost against AEW. Easy to do this with a heel champion. Kenny never loses because the second he is taken down, someone runs in or he is DQ'ed. Frankly, I am a fan of the heel champion never winning clean against equal opponents. Perfect for a group like Bullet Club who has had members in every fed they are working with. These days no one does this, but part of what made Flair's run so great is at every show for a long time Flair was set to lose a match but stole the win. Flair did not crush the competition, and in every big match the challenger was built up to be able to beat Flair and in the match they had him dead to rites at one point or another. No one thinks it made Flair look weak though as end of the day Flair kept the title. Kenny could elevate people the same way Flair did. Can protect Kenny too by having him do six man matches all of the time and just crush people by letting others do the bulk of the work and him just tagging in during the finish. Keep the one on one matches to a minimum. And frankly, this is something that could give AEW an identity and a centralized theme.

OH shit, word is the door blasted wide open and Okada will be one of the next guys to make an appearance. NJPW is said to open to making full use of this working agreement to get exposure for their guys to American audiences. Meltzer thinks they will do Omega vs Okada in AEW or Impact.

Why waste that in Impact and I don't think Okada would give any rub to Impact after they wasted him(Albeit he was in chubby shape).

More forbidden door nonsense in PWG tonight: Malakai Black and Brody King won the PWG tag team championship tonight.
Black is obviously signed to AEW and King is signed to ROH. Less Forbidden Door than NJPW but still pretty wild. Black now joins Moxley and Omega as holding titles outside of AEW.
EDIT: and Lucha Bros
