Jim Ross- BAH GAWD! WHAT A START TO THE NIGHT! LET'S TAKE OUR CAMERAS TO THE BACK WHERE WE HAVE MICHAEL COLE STANDING BY WITH A VERY SPECIAL GUEST!

A nervous Michael Cole is on hand with Shawn Michaels. The Heartbreak Kid is without his usual D-Generation X entourage, but nerdy interviewer Cole is still a quivering wreck, one misjudged piece of broadcast journalism away from getting his head kicked off his shoulders courtesy of Sweet Chin Music.

Michael Cole: “Michael Cole here live with none other than the Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels ahead of his main event match tonight with -“

Cole’s interrupted and HBK’s attention is crudely diverted...

Another Marty Jannetty enters the scene, interrupting his former tag team partner's interview, showing no I'll signs from his altercation with The Rock in the ring just moments ago.

Cole shoots Jannetty a look that says "What the fuck, is this a Marty Jannetty clone? Can Marty Jannetty teleport?"

But before Cole can verbalize the questions belied by his facial expressions, Marty addresses Shawn directly...

This Marty Jannetty is slightly different. He’s got a copy of the Sports Almanac in his hands, is wearing flash Nike trainers and is sporting an orange life preserve jacket and flannel shirt combo. He begins...

Marty Jannetty- "Hey Shawn. I've been looking around for you for what feels like years now. Where you been hiding?

Never mind that.

Hey look. I'm reading this almanac and they have rankings on the 500 greatest wrestlers of all time. Look over here. You're in the top 5! I don't know what I missed, but I'm starting to think that whoever wrote this is the one who missed something. I can't find myself ANYWHERE on this list!"


Jannetty smacks the almanac as Shawn Michaels and Michael Cole look at him, in confusion.


Marty Jannetty- "Anyways, the point is this.

Shawn, I don't know where you've been hiding or what you've been doing, but looking at this almanac one thing is clear.

THE ROCKERS ARE ON THE MAP, BABY!"


Michael Cole- "Uh, Marty; weren't you just.... in the ring?" 


Marty Jannetty- "What? NO.

I'm trying to get back into the ring with my good buddy Shawn here and set up a nice little tag match for The Rockers. Like the good old days."


Marty slaps Shawn in the back as Shawn looks over at Marty in more confusion.


All of a sudden....





Sami Zayn- "Sorry to interrupt this reunion, but I am here to demand some justice."


Marty Jannetty- "Justice? What is it?

Are you not on the top 500 list either?"


Sami Zayn- "What? Shut up!

I'm here to demand a different kind of justice!

I can sit here and rant and rave about it, but I'll do something your pal Shawn is familiar with, Marty. I'll give it to you in TWO WORDS.


GIMMICK!

INFRINGEMENT!"


Marty Jannetty- "Gimmick infringe-"


Sami Zayn- "THAT'S RIGHT! GIMMICK INFRINGEMENT!

I have to sit here and watch you stroll around the MPF and deal with the fact that there is not ONE but TWO Marty Jannettys?!

Well, I'm not going to take it. I'm not going to...."

Shawn Michaels sends Sami Zayn flat on his back with some Sweet Chin Music. Marty Jannetty claps his hands, pumped up and goes to give Shawn Michaels a High 5, but Shawn just looks at him and walks away. Michael Cole stands next to Marty Jannetty as both men look down at Sami Zayn and then....

And in one flex from El Generico, Marty Jannetty and Michael Cole hightail it out of there.
