On February 27th, 1996, the original Pokemon games (Red and Green), were released in Japan, making this year's Pokemon Day the 25th anniversary for the series. Having said that, The Pokemon Company has announced a virtual concert, that'll include talent like Katy Perry and Post Malone, as they celebrate this milestone event.

I think it's safe to assume, they'll have their own Pokemon Direct as well, like they usually do. There has been a lot of speculation lately about Diamond and Pearl getting remakes for the Nintendo Switch, as well as the Johto region getting the Let's Go treatment. As for me, I would love to see an announcement for the rumored D&P remakes myself.

There'll probably be a reminder about New Pokemon Snap (April 30th), and maybe even more news on Pokemon Unite (I believe that's what it was) as well.

Anyways, what are you guys expecting from this event? What is your favorite Pokemon game(s)? Do you plan on checking this out?

Earlier this year I got back into Pokemon Go, if they hadn't screwed up the launch of the game as much as they did, with it having so many bugs etc. I think it would still be way more popular than it is.

Grass people are the same level as liking feet. Like what is wrong with you?

1) The intro was a bit too much, but man cable links were ridiculous. PRactically this was the only game(s) to even use these. A relic best forgotten.

2) Pokemon Snap looks absolutely fire, comes out in 2 months lets go!

3) Remakes of Diamond & Pearl, known as "BRILLIANT Diamond" and "SHINING Pearl", the artstyle is very cutesy chibi, coming out late 2021.

4) This Pokemon Journey Sinnoh: ARCEUS looks dope. Curious why those 3 starters though, think I go with the water one since I used Cyndaquil before in a Pokemon Crystal run and I recently used Rawlet 2 gens ago. It looks like an open world Pokemon exploration, framerate looked rough but it's coming out in 2022 so loads of time to make it better.

Alot to take away from this mini direct.

Game is fun in moderation, IDK how people play every single thing Pokemon though. 

The last game wasn't much to write home about, but before then the Pokemon games were among the best games of their genre. Did you ever play the Gold and Silver remakes? They're some of the best remakes in gaming period.

I mean things like Mystery Dungeon and the Cafe app and Pokemon Go, there are a crap ton of Pokemon licensed games, IDK how people find the time to do it. Shiny hunting, Ditto breeding, I am envious really :lol:

I got into breeding during Gen VI.

Once you know what you're doing, it's extremely easy to set up and just watch television with a 3DS in hand while holding down a directional button and spamming b. It's not something I care to do now, but when I had less games I wanted to play it was surprisingly easy to get involved in.

Not really digging the Brilliant Diamond name (Shinning Pearl sounds better), but if the past games are any indication, Diamond has the better Pokemon exclusives (Scyther/Scizor, Larvitar line, and Aron line), I'll probably get the fiancee to buy a copy of Pearl (for the Houndour line, Bagon line, and Shieldon line).

Pokemon Legends: Arceus looks interesting enough, some of the Pokemon in the game clip, seemed a bit lagging but nothing they can't work on.

Brilliant Diamond and Shiny Pearl look awful. They look like mobile phone ports and everything they've shown so far doesn't justify the need for a remake. I'm sure they'll announce some new modes later on but I doubt it's going to make the games worth buying.

Pokemon Legends on the other hand looks like it could be a nice twist on the formula. I'd have to hear more but so far I'm intrigued by it.

I'm addicted to Pokemon GO.... AGAIN.

Go... Again is a great sequel name.
