April Need-to-Know News
TITANS Stand Tall With Adam Copeland and Christian Cage capturing the ART of ALLEGIANCE Championships and Bret Hart winning the ART World Championship, The TITANs have arguably captured the two most prestigious championships in ART. Now, they face the challenge of staying atop that mountain. The Blonde Bombshell, Totality, The Diamond Exchange, and everyone not in a stable will surely be chasing them down with the intent of bringing those championships away from The TITANS.
The Rock Solid Foundation Crumbles At Night of Champions, The Rock put The Rock Solid Foundation on the line in the International Television Championship Match. After accidental interference by Dusty Rhodes, The Rock lost that match. The Rock, Ron Simmons, Chavo Guerrero, Jr., and 2 Cold Scorpio can no longer team together nor call themselves The Rock Solid Foundation again. Dusty Rhodes has granted them one final farewell on Canvas.

In a bout that had great wrestling and a decent reaction from the crowd, The Hardy Boyz defeated Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in 8:17 when Jeff Hardy defeated Kevin Nash by submission with a Texas Cloverleaf.
Totality comes out with ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes. Rude asks him how he’s doing, and Dusty says fine. Dustin tells his dad it’s ok, and he can be honest. Dustin says his dad is in a lot of pain, and he isn’t all there. Percy Pringle pulls out a resignation letter for the Artistic Director position that they all want Dusty to sign. The Rock comes out. He says he doesn’t need to resign if he’s feeling ok. Rock encourages Dusty not to sign the letter. He reiterates that he never attacked Dusty. The Dream stands up and extends his arms for a hug from The Rock...Luger attacks The Rock from behind knocking him into Rhodes. Totality beats down The Rock with Dusty basically underneath him. Pringle says Dusty is in no shape to sign this contract...He then mentions that a next of kin could sign on his behalf. Rude, Luger, and Hennig watch and smile as Dustin signs away his dad’s position as Artistic Director.
In a bout that had sensational wrestling and great heat, Chris Jericho defeated The Rock in 12:32 by submission with a Liontamer.
After the match, Jericho grabs a chair. He brutalizes The Rock with it. He sits down in the chair. He says he doesn’t think The Rock attacked Dusty Rhodes, and he’s ashamed of what he just did, but he told himself he would do whatever it took to get his hands on Bret Hart. Percy Pringle comes down with the contract and the duffle bag. Jericho signs it. Bret Hart then bashes him in the back of the head with the ART World Championship and steals the money.
International Saturday IUPUI Gymnasium
Percy Pringle opens the show. He says his contract as Interim Artistic Director expires tomorrow night. Now that Dusty has unfortunately resigned, he will sign the contract to become permanent Artistic Director at Flash Bash. The other members of the 'final four' were Christopher Daniels, Bam Bam Bigelow and Steve Williams, with Christopher Daniels being the final elimination. Christopher Daniels got the most eliminations over the course of the match.
Cactus Jack says by winning that match he has earned a shot against Dustin Rhodes at Flash Bash, and he says it’s about time someone took that International Television off Dustin Rhodes. The champion comes into the picture, and the two men have a pull apart.
In a bout that had great wrestling and good heat, Totality (Lex Luger, Curt Hennig and Dustin Rhodes) defeated Terry Funk and The Road Warriors in 6:35 when Lex Luger defeated Road Warrior Animal by submission with a Torture Rack.
Flash Bash CARD
United States Tag Team Championships Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio, Jr. versus Dean Malenko and Steve Corino versus The Road Warriors versus Lex Luger and Curt Hennig Percy Pringle is delivering a new opportunity in ART. The introduction of the United States Tag Team Championships provides an opportunity to create new matches for new up and coming tag teams. This also marks an opportunity for every division to have two prizes to chase. Three of the four teams in the match are former ART of ALLEGIANCE Champions. Who will be the FIRST US Tag Team Champions?
Evolution-4 Championship Bull Nakano © versus Lyric Clearwater [w/The ACME] Bull Nakano is, without question, the most dominant woman in the history of ART. She has probably defeated every other woman on the roster on more than one occasion. This makes the assertation by Michael Hayes and Rick Martel that she ‘fears’ Lyric Clearwater pretty ridiculous. However, Nakano has never been one to back down from a challenge. Hayes proposed a singles match for the Evolution-4 Championship, and Nakano obliged.
ART Women’s Championship Akira Hokuto © versus Open Challenge Akira Hokuto is only the third woman in the history of ART to hold the Women’s Championship. In order to try and challenge Bull Nakano’s status as the greatest woman in ART, she MUST be a fighting champion. When ART Management did not provide her with an opponent for Flash Bash, she issued an open challenge. Who will step up to the plate to take on the reigning champion?
Artistic Director Contract Signing Percy Pringle Dusty Rhodes served as Artistic Director for around three months. After Night of Champions, he was brutally attacked. Doctors estimated he would be unable to handle day to day duties for about a month. Percy Pringle was brought in to serve as the Interim Artistic Director. However, when Totality brought Dusty back for a wellness check, he got caught in the crossfires during a brawl between The Rock and Totality. Dustin Rhodes, son of Dusty, signed a resignation letter on behalf of his father. Now, Percy Pringle is going to have a grand ceremony to install himself as the NEW Artistic Director.
Evolution-6 Championship Scott Hall © [w/Eric Bischoff] versus Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat When Scott Hall won the Evolution-6 Championship, he said he was never defending it. When the Championship Committee disagreed, he said he was at the very least not going to be defending in scramble matches. Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat won a scramble to qualify for a match with Scott Hall at Flash Bash. Now, Steamboat has vowed to restore the integrity of the Evolution-6 Championship.
ART of ALLEGIANCE Championships Christian Cage and Sean Waltman © versus The Hardy Boyz The Suicide Blondes, representing The TITANs, won the ART of ALLEGIANCE Championshis at Night of Champions. The Hardy’s earned an opportunity to challenge Copeland and Cage. However, in an eight man tag, Copeland suffered an injury that prevented him from being able to compete. Sean Waltman replaced Copeland as Cage’s tag team partner, but they emphatically stated they did not want Matt and Jeff to keep their title opportunity. Much to the champions’ dismay, Matt and Jeff EARNED another opportunity. Can Matt and Jeff win the AoA Championships for the first time?
International Television Championship Dustin Rhodes © [w/Rick Rude] versus Cactus Jack Totality has been protecting Dustin Rhodes’ International Television Championship reign. Cactus Jack won a battle royal to earn the right to face him. Dustin Rhodes has not been making many friends since he decided to sign the resignation letter on his dad’s behalf. Can Totality protect Dustin and make sure he retains? Will Cactus Jack win the ITV Championship for the first time?
ART World Championship Match Bret Hart © [w/Eric Bischoff] versus Chris Jericho When Bret Hart won the ART World Championship, he said he wasn’t going to defend it because of what happened to Dusty Rhodes. Then, Percy Pringle offered a World Title shot to whomever took out The Rock who he perceived to be the attacker of Dusty Rhodes. Chris Jericho, who wasn’t even pinned in the match, was determined to get his championship back. Many were shocked when he brutally attacked The Rock, who he believed to be innocent, in order to get the match with Bret Hart. If Jericho is willing to do this to The Rock, what will he do to get the ART World Championship back?

What is an "attacking rage" exactly? Basically failing to stop on a ref’s 5 count. Totally losing his cool. I should’ve written that finish out.

What is an "attacking rage" exactly? Basically failing to stop on a ref’s 5 count. Totally losing his cool. I should’ve written that finish out. Ah, that makes sense. And while written out, it would've been clearer... "not adhering to the official's five-count" admittedly sounds so much lamer than an "attacking rage". I present the motion to henceforth have "attacking rage" be the new catchy concise way of describing such a disqualification.

Flash Bash was fun. Eddy and Rey winning the US Tag Titles was a cert, two ART legends and arguably the most decorated wrestlers in the company! Gimme an Angle and Punk US Tag Title reign down the line before the split and feud, pls! Liked the swerve with Bischoff becoming director - makes a lot of sense! My boys The Hardyz winning the tag titles - I’m like a proud father! Finally, hoping to see Bret/Jericho in some sort of gimmick match next PPV to settle things. Awesome as ever, man.

June Need-to-Know News
Next Top Contender TIE? Chris Jericho and Eddie Guerrero went to a 60 minute time limit draw in the final of the Next Top Contender. This is certainly unprecedented. However, historically, the winner of NTC has received a one on one match at ART of GOLD, the anniversary show.
Cuts and Departures ART is going to have some cuts and departures in the coming months. Some may not know, Diamond Dallas Page signed with WWF after the Loser Leaves ART match. Ultimo Dragon has agreed to head to New York when his ART contract expires this month. Brian Armstrong has refused to negotiate a contract extension. WWF tried to sign Chris Jericho, Chavo Guerrero, Jr., Akira Hokuto, and Bull Nakano, but they all signed extensions to stay with ART.

The two talk trash a bit about each other, but then, they agree while talking trash about the TITANs.

Evenflow CARD
Evolution-6 Championship Match Rey Mysterio, Jr. © versus Christopher Daniels versus Ricky Steamboat versus Scott Hall versus Kevin Nash versus Dean Malenko Rey Mysterio, Jr. is quickly on his way to earning his sixth defense of the Evolution-6 Championship. However, he’s got his work cut out for him in this one. Christopher Daniels and Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat are both former ART World Champions. Malenko, Hall, and Nash are former Evolution-6 Champions. You also have to factor in the fact that Hall and Nash will do whatever it takes to protect their stablemate, Bret Hart, from an unplanned title defense.
United States Tag Team Championship Match The Suicide Blondes versus The Road Warriors The Suicide Blondes have held the United States Tag Team Championships for awhile now, but the young championships will face possibly its most legendary challengers. The Road Warriors haven’t had a ton of momentum heading into the new millennium, but this could be their opportunity to correct course. However, when the TITANs are involved, it’s hard to say what might happen.
ART of ALLEGIANCE Championship Match The Hardy Boyz © versus Totality (Lex Luger and Curt Hennig) w[/Rick Rude] Ron Simmons and 2 Cold Scorpio earned an opportunity to challenge for the ART of ALLEGIANCE Championships. However, Totality responded by breaking Simmons’s leg. They demanded to get the championship opportunity, and Percy Pringle gave them what they wanted. The Hardy Boyz are fighting champions, so they didn’t say anything, but you know they’d rather give the opportunity to a team that earned things the right way,
Special Challenge Eddie Guerrero versus The Rock Eddie Guerrero was involved in a one hour time limit draw against Chris Jericho at Next Top Contender after having a match against Ricky ‘The Dragon’ Steamboat. Some people are calling it a career resurgence. Indeed, Eddie is one of only two current Grand Slam Champions on the roster. He wants to stay hot as he gets ready to do battle with whomever the ART World Champion may be at ART of GOLD, but he’s facing another former ART World Champion in The Rock.
Steel Cage Match Loser Leaves Women of ART Bull Nakano versus Michael Hayes The feud between Michael Hayes and Bull Nakano has been going on for quite some time now. It all started when Hayes wanted Nakano and Akira Hokuto to be Lyric Clearwater’s back up singers. This feud has already cost Michael Hayes his hair, but now it could cost him his ability to appear on Women of ART. New authority figure, Linda McMahon says this show isn’t big enough for the two of them, so she will be quoting her ex-husband when she tells one of them ‘You’re fired!’ inside a Steel Cage!
International Television Championship Match Dustin Rhodes © [w/Rick Rude] versus 2 Cold Scorpio [w/Dusty Rhodes and Ron Simmons] Totality screwed 2 Cold Scorpio and Ron Simmons out of their ART of ALLEGIANCE Championship match when they broke Ron Simmons’ leg. Dustin’s father, ‘The American Dream’ Dusty Rhodes came to the rescue. He threatened legal action if 2 Cold Scorpio was not given the shot, and Percy Pringle obliged. Can 2 Cold Scorpio end what has been a very dominant reign as International Television Champion?
ART World Championship Match Ladder Match Bret Hart © [w/Eric Bischoff] versus Chris Jericho The feud between these two Canadian icons started when Bret Hart and Eric Bischoff assumed Chris Jericho would join The TITANs. Not only did Jericho refuse, he formed a new version of The Blonde Bombshell with the Hardy Boyz. He lost the ART World Championship at Night of Champions in a match where he was never pinned. He lost his cool at Flash Bash, and it took him getting a tie in the finals of Next Top Contender to get another shot. Jericho said Bret Hart didn’t have to pay his dues and climb the ladder in ART like he did, so Jericho proposed the two go to war in a Ladder Match.

During the match we also had Ron Simmons turn on Scorpio by smashing the crutch over his back. Dustin Rhodes makes defence number 17 of his International Television title.
Totality introduces their newest member, Ron Simmons. He dances into the shot with no crutches and says he loves it when a plan comes together, and that’s all he has to say.
In a bout that had sensational wrestling and fantastic heat, Bret Hart defeated Chris Jericho in a Ladder match in 25:04 when Bret Hart retrieved the item. The match also had a lot of interference: Sean Waltman targeted Jericho, Scott Hall attacked Jericho, and finally Kevin Nash interfered against Jericho.
