Oh thanks - I saw Dex said it was their second match but I honestly couldn't remember that other one.

The 6-woman tag match tonight was decent. Io still has moments where she seems a little clunky, she doesn't seem to have adapted to WWE as well as Kairi has. I would really like her to get some matches where she can do more than dropkicks and running knees..

My highlight was Io just coming into the ring untagged for about 20 seconds. :lol: Other than that I didn't see anything that was worth being critical of?

I thought the match was a lot of fun really, I like the vibe that Io will get the next title shot and Bianca's gonna be pissed about it.

Your right I liked the match more on second viewing and Io was fine although lie I said I would like her to get a chance to do a bit more. I do think the tag team combo Io and Kairi did this match was kind of weird and convoluted but they're still a new team. 


I think Bianca vs Io would be a nice number 1 contender match. Do you see Io winning the title at the WM takeover? Looking at spoilers they seem to be building towards the end game with Shayna's run as champ.   

I really hate the Full Sail crowd sometimes. Marina Shafir, who is just eight months into her pro-wrestling career, doesn't need to be shitted on and told she can't wrestle by the same annoying crowd that ate up Eric Bugenhagen's wailing nonsense.

Dunno if Io is quite ready for the NXT Women's championship (I don't think Bianca is either tbh). If the belt has to come off Shayna, I think Kairi could use another reign.

I think I predicted this a page or two ago - and it's been even more reinforced since with Io doing the belt gesture and Sasha giving Ronda the four fingers at the Rumble. Shayna will have been champion for close to a year combined by that stage and it feels like time for her to go up to the main roster. I think Io winning the title would be a great move as it gives them so many directions for them to go like Bianca going back heel, a Io vs Kairi friend face off match.

Along with Karen Q, Rachel Ellering was also announced as a new recruit today. Womp womp 😑

There is this weird maniacal hype around her that I just don’t understand. The two times I saw her in Florida, everyone went wild for her. She’s got a basic look, basic personality, basic wrestling skills... I don’t know that nepotism has much to do with it because if that were the case, I think she would have been signed a while ago. Maybe it’s all the annoying Full Sail smarks who know who her boyfriend is. I hope I do come around to her in the future as I like to support all the women but let’s just say this is the first time I found myself in my feelings and actually unhappy about a signing.

It was good to see Aliyah again on NXT, as I don't even remember the last match she had, on the weekly show.

Unfortunately though, it was against Taynara Conti, who is someone I have absolutely zero interest in... plus let's be real with the Horsewomen in NXT, Killer Kelly on NXT UK, Ronda Rousey on Raw and of course Sonya Deville on SDL, we really don't need female MMA fighter #007, as a character.

So Mia's streak of lackluster USA NXT matches continue. This wasn't horrible by any means but kind of stiff and a little slow.

It remains to be seen whether Xia can remain as interesting if/when she starts appearing more often, but a couple of TV matches in and I'm definitely invested. She's a real breath of fresh air in the bloated roster where there's a lot of women doing similar stuff.

Yes I think she’s something special. Everyone talks about how she’s one of the hardest working PC stars. I wanna see her wrestle longer matches, maybe a Takeover match sometime this year.

It would be helpful if they started having more than one women's match per takeover again. That way people other than the usual suspects could get those long-form match opportunities.

Looks like women's tag are eligible for NXT according to the tapings

I thought the tag match tonight was fun, it was interesting to see basically 4 (Aliyah has some outside training) pc products in the same match together. Xia's style stands out from everyone else, and I really liked Borne and Alyah's tandem finisher. Vanessa needs to work on her strikes though.

Mia vs Shayna was a pretty good match, probably Mia's best since joining nxt.

I like aliyah, she Carries herself like a star.

Loved how female heavy this week was! The lower card girls got a match, Bianca vs Io was set up, and Bayley & Sasha hinted that we'll be seeing them defend the titles in NXT.

I agree that it was Mia's best match so far, and that's largely because Shayna's matches always have a clear pattern and storyline, whereas Yim just tends to do a load of everything without any reason behind it. Mia selling the leg was a bit comedic at times but at least she was largely consistent with it, unlike that MYC match where she really didn't do a good job selling an injury at all.

I wish they'd put some NXT live events on the Network. So much cool stuff happens!

So Shayna vs Io vs Bianca vs Kairi at NY was confirmed tonight on NXT. Bianca vs Io was pretty fun for what it was.

Also, Lacey Lane and Kacey actually have a televised match at the NXT tapings tonight!

Hmm, I wonder if this is just a way of getting the title off Shayna without her taking a pin. Match should be really good though, I think this has been an enjoyable storyline.

No women's match on either regular NXT or the UK version today, kind of disappointing. The backstage segment was fine they seem to be laying on the Kairi and io friendship really thick, so they will probably be building up to a betrayal in the near future. I have no idea what they're doing with Bianca, they had her positioned to be a top face in the division after her match with Shayna, but they're back to her being an overconfident obnoxious heel type. Which is fine I guess but that will only work for her if Shayna is moving up soon, and then she can take over as the main heel until Io turns.

I'm also annoyed with the lack of time the women in NXT get compared to the men in general, on the weekly tv show. When was the last time the women got a real lengthy, important, main event match on the weekly show?

Sorry to intrude, but I'm curious about something.

Do you guys watch any male wrestling at all, or do you watch only the women's segments?

Every time there's a regular tower of doom spot in a multi-women match an angel loses its wings. Hopefully, they're more creative 2 weeks from now.
