Don Callis completes buyout of Impact! Wrestling 

- Don Callis has been rumoured to complete a takeover/buyout of Impact Wrestling for a very long time, today those rumours were finally confirmed to be true. Callis has been in a partial relation with both Impact! Wrestling & All Elite Wrestling over the last few months, in which we've seen his relationship with Tony Khan & current AEW & Impact World Champion Kenny Omega. 

"First off, I'd like to thank the people in charge before myself, that also includes Scott D'Amore, for their effort during their time here to help the Impact! Brand. The opportunity to become owner of Impact! Wrestling came about suddenly, and quite swiftly I acted upon this opportunity to complete the buyout of the company. I knew this would pass me by swiftly, with my good friend, and I suppose you could say 'enemy' in Tony Khan, and the rest of the elite, including current Impact World Champion Kenny Omega would have had their eyes on it.  They know its business, so there isn't any real harm done to either brand, secondly and lastly, all I can say is tune into Impact! This coming week, huge, huge news will be revealed".

Impact World Champion to appear - Callis discusses Impact's immediate future


- Kenny Omega will make his way to the Impact! Zone, to discuss his future with Impact! Wrestling, following the recent change of ownership to his good friend Don Callis. The current Impact World Champion will want to know what it all means for himself, and for his own company, AEW. 



- Don Callis has been speaking at a board meeting this afternoon, in which one of the topics discussed were the current and immediate future of Impact! Wrestling, Callis confirmed in a  video on his social media feed that "Impact Wrestling will be going through a rebranding of sorts, think of it as, for lack of a better phrase or wording, revamp of the brand. I can confirm that initially for, a short time anyway, that both the Impact Tag Team & Women's Championships will temporarily put into hiatus. Meaning that the Impact World & X-Division championships will be the active titles on our roster. I apologise to the former champions of both the tag team & women's division, an explanation will be given in the future."  Callis then went on and said "On our first show, under my ownership that we will see both Impact World & X-Division championships defended. Now I know that Kenny will be coming here anyway, so I thought if he's going to be in the area, he might as well put on a show for the watching audience."
