I didn't know you were a Kenny King fan, Ed.
You completely caught me off guard with the reveal. I thought you'd say the co-main event and the main event itself.

I've always liked Kenny King. His in-ring game is shaky at times but when he's on his game he's very fun to watch.

King was a stand-out when I first began watching, but he lost me during his Beat-Down Clan stuff. I thought he'd really make something of himself in TNA, but the move seemed to expose him.
How long have you been a fan of ROH, Ed? I've always been of the impression that you were a Day 1 fan.

How long have you been a fan of ROH, Ed? I've always been of the impression that you were a Day 1 fan. I started watching during the Gabe era for a long time and even before when Christopher Daniels was the biggest heel in the promotion. I grew to really enjoy Jimmy Jacoba when he formed Age Of The Fall and a lot of things until the beginning of the Sinclair broadcasting era. I felt like they did a poor job of integrating storylines into the matches. Things became solely about work rate and 10 wrestlers would brag about being the best in the world. I really made an effort to watch when Dalton Castle became champion.

While I hope he sticks in ROH for a bit, to get some good experience, I feel like WWE will snatch up Jeff Cobb as soon as they can, big emphasis on soon.

Cobb signed with ROH so he could wrestle in NJPW more often. That is his real goal. Don’t think he will be in WWE for at least a year or two if at all.

I'd rather see him doing the strong style of wrestling that WWE style.

MVP made a one night appearance as Kenny King's mystery partner in Houston last night. Defeating Willie Mack and Colt Cabana in a fun match.

I lost even semi-interest in ROH a long time ago....until I heard they brought PCO in. Meant to check it out just for PCO but I forgot until right now. I'm not even sure if ROH still comes on tv in my area. If it does, I have no idea when. I'll look around for PCO in ROH matches though.
Just saw ROH is coming to my area March 31st. Here's the card....
“EL TORO BLANCO” RUSH vs. “HOT SAUCE” TRACY WILLIAMS MARK HASKINS vs. “PRO WRESTLING’S LAST REAL MAN” SILAS YOUNG KENNY KING vs. PJ BLACK
SIGNED TO COMPETE: ROH WORLD CHAMPION JAY LETHAL ROH WORLD TELEVISION CHAMPION JEFF COBB ROH WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS VILLAIN ENTERPRISES (PCO & BRODY KING) IWGP UNITED STATES CHAMPION JUICE ROBINSON BANDIDO SHANE TAYLOR
Man, I'm way out of the loop. I don't even know who some of those people are. Still, maybe I'll check it out if I have absolutely nothing else going on that day just to see PCO. Haven't been to a wrestling show in 4.5 years.

After the Bullet Club left ROH, the company went on a signing spree and brought in a lot of talent from around the world and other independent promotions. Rush is from CMLL and was apart of Los Ingobernables, the second biggest faction in the world behind the Bullet Club. They're huge in NJPW where one of their biggest stars Tetsuya Naito brought it over from Mexico in 2015. I'm not overly familiar with Tracy Williams, I believe he was one of the bigger names from EVOLVE, but that's a blind spot for me. Mark Haskins is another blind spot and all I know is that he was a star in one of the hot UK promotions. I presume you know who Kenny King is. Former Tough Enough contestant turned ROH mainstay who just floats around in the mid-card. PJ Black is former WWE/Nexus guy Justin Gabriel. He was like the Kidman of the Nexus where he'd finish off every beat-down with a Shooting Star Press, similar to how every Flock beating would end with Kidman hitting a Seven Year Itch. Cobb is Matanza Cueto from Lucha Underground, one of the best big men wrestlers going today. Juice Robinson is former NXT talent CJ Parker. He's traded in the environmental douchebag gimmick for a party-boy Brian Kendrick type gimmick and has his own stable. Bandido is another CMLL signing and is one of the best high-fliers in Pro Wrestling right now. Taylor you've probably seen, he's a big fat guy who moves pretty good for his size. If you ask nicely, he may even do a fat-man moonsault for you. I'm sure SM or an avid ROH fan can fill in the gaps. I'm way behind on ROH, the last match I watched was the Dalton Castle vs. Jay Lethal match from earlier this year.

Pete summed it up pretty good. The new signs have been good. PCO actually just won the tag titles with Brody King another recent signing. They are also 6-Man champs with Marty Scurll and they are a faction known as Villain Enterprises.

The thing with Enzo and Cass is if they're portrayed in the right light, they could be the most over act in the industry. When they were in the midst of going from NXT to Raw, they were one of the few acts that translated better on the bigger stage and fans were invested in their characters. Since then, both guys have self-destructed somewhat, but if you can get them back on track, you've got a good tag team that can talk people into the building.
The way ROH went about that was ridiculous.
Instead of trying to rehab the tag team, they played on this shit-bag reputation and like nath45 said, gave them that Outsiders push. Now it's one thing to do that on a normal show, it's another to do it in arguably the biggest show in the company's history and one of NJPW's biggest shows in decades. Fans paid and tuned in for a WrestleKingdom in New York, they didn't pay to see some crash TV angle that put a bad taste in everybody's mouth.
Between that and Matt Taven winning the ROH Championship, it was an awful night for the promotion.

I caught the last five minutes of the Scrull/Aldis match last night.
Aldis is still a clumsy fuck in the ring. He still looks so herky-jerky, and nearly blew two spots in the last two minutes. I can't believe HE is who the NWA has latched onto as their guy.
Second - holy shit, did Marty stop going to the gym?
